Destrian bumped into a maid when he left his room, so sleepy that he couldn't see through his heavy eyelids. She shrieked and quickly picked up the tray she had dropped when they bumped into each other. Luckily, it was empty since she had just served tea to the queen.
"Pardon me, your highness." She squeaked.
He held out a hand to help her. "It's my fault. Here."
Seeing him want to help her up, the maid stared at his hand in confusion. Then she gave a quick, gentle shake of her head as her face reddened in embarrassment. "I am alright, your highness. Thank you." She flushed. Picking up her tray, she disappeared faster than he could say anything else.
"What is up with her?" He raised a brow in amusement, not knowing the maid had been stunned by the thought of the handsome prince taking her hand.
He didn't have any time to dwell on it, seeing as he was late for the most important meeting of the day.
