"Why do you want to switch places with me?" Destrian asked.

Hades sealed his lips, making Destrian grunt in frustration.

"It doesn't matter. My answer is no."

Hearing his decline, Hades laughed as he stood. "There's only one problem, Destrian. You don't have a choice here. You will do as I say."

"What makes you think you can order me around?" Destrian hissed.

"The fact that I will break that mirror if you don't follow instructions."

"What will happen if you break it?" Marlena squeaked, terrified of what the demon might do.

"Nothing much," Hades shrugged. "She will just vanish like all other memories. Forever."

Destrian glared at the demon before him, wishing he could burn him to ashes. However, the infuriating creature was the only one who could free Marlena. Despite the anger he was seething in, he gritted out, "Get her out."

"That's not how it works, my boy. How can I be certain you will keep your word?"
