Shirley's bodyguards were all bulky and tall. Thus, the man was swept away from the poor woman in no time.

The woman was crying and shivering. She was about to go home from her part time work when a man dragged her in the alley and tried liberties with her.

She kept struggling and kept begging the man but the man was relentless. Then, it was the scene Louise  and Shirley stumbled upon.

One of the bodyguards took off his coat and covered the woman and brought her to Shirley and Louise.

"Are you okay?" Shirley asked with worry.

"Wuwuwu..." The woman was still crying hard when Shirley tried to ask her.

Louise stayed silent on the side. She was not good at comforting people as she was not even used to touches of others.

Then, Augustus called.

"Something happened?" Augustus asked when he noticed her silence.

"Yeah. We rescued a girl from a bad guy..." Louise said shortly. She didn't tell that the man had tried to talk to her before.

"I will come over tomorrow." The man suddenly said.

"What? I thought you will be here next week?" Louise asked as she was perplexed by his decision.

"No. I will go there tomorrow. Lander has finalized everything here so, there's not much to do." The man explained.

"Is that so?" Louise couldn't believe it. If they had finalized everything in just 3 months then, he was quite efficient.

"You don't believe me?" The man asked, amused.

"No. I'm quite surprised for the efficiency..." Louise hastily denied. She believed in everything he says. Even if she couldn't understand, she still believed in him.

"See you tomorrow." Augustus sweetly said.

"En. See you..." Louise happily nodded her head.

Augustus cut the call and dialed another number. After a few rings, the call was connected.

"Mr. Mo, I'll meet you soon." Augustus said.

"Mr. Ye, don't worry. The preparation for the merger is quite complete." Rupert said on the other line.

"That will be for the best." Augustus said.

"Can I ask a question?" Rupert ask all of a sudden. But Augustus already knew what it was.

"Shoot."

"How's Louise? Is she okay?" Rupert carefully asked.

"She's recovering well. Don't worry. I will bring her to you when the time comes." Augustus didn't tell that Louise had long been recovered and she even went back to the country a few months ago.

"Okay. It is good news." Rupert relaxed his worry.

"Yes. So, I'll see you soon." Augustus cut the call.

Meanwhile, Shirley sent the woman off after she comforted her.

She walked back to where Louise was.

"Let's go." Shirley grabbed Louise hands and entered the car.

The bodyguards also went back and blended into the night.

"You have someone protecting you in the dark?" Louise asked curiously.

"Yep. They will not appear unless I tell them to. They're not my men..." Shirley explained roughly.

"Ohhh. Are you some kind of big shot?" Louise asked playfully.

"If I am, will you still be my friend?" Shirley retorted mysteriously.

"Of course. You are you. I don't look into backgrounds..." Louise smiled.

It was the truth. Augustus explained to her the power play of Country P. There were lots of families that are powerful and even those who are hidden.

She quite understood the situation in the capital but she didn't know about the younger generations. Augustus only told her about the power holders of each family.

"Then, if you know one day, I won't have much explaining to do." Shirley docked her head towards Louise's shoulders.

That's true. Even if they will realize each others identity soon, they will still be able to accept who they are as they considered each other as close friends.

"Then how about you?" Shirley asked after sometime.

"It's payback time." Louise just said casually but it made Shirley smile.

"Count me in."
