The sun was beginning to set as Ashley and Sam drove up the winding driveway to her parents' house.
Nestled in a quiet, suburban neighborhood, the house exuded a warm and welcoming aura. Ashley glanced over at Sam, who was gripping the steering wheel a bit tighter than usual.
"Nervous?" she asked with a playful smile.
Sam let out a small chuckle, shaking his head.
"Just a bit. I want to make a good impression."
Ashley reached over, placing her hand on his. "You will. They're going to love you."
She assured him as she briefly remembered the time he had brought her to the hospital when she fainted.
This man had already made a good first impression.
Sam took a deep breath, his grip relaxing slightly.
"I hope so. I just want everything to go smoothly."
As they parked and walked up to the front door, Ashley could feel her own nerves tingling.
