Chapter 9

"From now on, you're my right hand Itzumi. Now you can't see me as your master, we're equals, partners in crime. I'll be needing you in the future, you'll be in charge of making every of my subordinates strong so I can achieve my goal. Once I accomplish my goal, with your help of course, I'll grant you anything you want or need."

"No need, serving you is sufficient, I aim to please you."

I knew he wasn't going to give in any time soon. It would take time for Itzumi to stop looking at me like a master. After we left the cave, we started following what the map said we had to go. We stumbled upon a new enemy. A huge black spider stood up ahead, with its red eyes and ominous aura. Suddenly, I see Itzumi getting in front of me, acting as my guard.

"Itzumi, it's OK! I'll take care of this. I would actually like to test my power."

"Master, you shouldn't! I'm here to protect you and take care of you. The voice of the world said I must protect you at all times. This creature doesn't pose a threat to me at all."

Waving my hand, directing Itzumi to get out of the way. I raise my hand and try to control the air around the spider, imagining several razor-sharp crescents forming and going towards the spider. For a second, the air around me stood still and everything went quite. It was so silent you could hear a needle drop. The atmosphere was tense, and the winds weren't clear anymore. You could see every magicul clear as day. It was like a nebula forming beautiful lights all around. The magiculs started coming together to form several crescents. There were about 15 to 25 crescents all around me like it's waiting for its master's orders.

The spider trembled in fear, knowing it was the end for him. I turn to look at Itzumi, he was mesmerized with what I was doing. His eyes couldn't believe how just a simple wind control spell could be so powerful when wielded by a true primordial god. Itzumi knew I still had a long way to go till I could reach and awake my true power. As I released the crescents and directed them toward the spider, I saw how one of them was flying a few inches above the ground, it was obliterating the dirt under neath. It seemed like magma was emerging from the depth of hell. If I let the spell contact the target, I'll probably won't only kill the spider but everything around me.

On the other side of the Great Forest of Jura, there was a meeting being held with all the leaders of each race. Elves, dwarves, goblins, ogres, orcs, lizard men, fairies, demi-humans, even dryads. Suddenly, they all felt a heavy ominous power on the other side of their territory. It felt almost equal to low level demon lord but not quite. One of the dryads volunteered to go and see who's the owner of this ominous power. Meanwhile, the ogre king started gathering his forces in case they had to gauge into battle. All the dryads gathered, saying their goodbyes just in case they don't get to see their sister again.

Back on the outskirts of the Great Forest of Jura. Seeing how much of a destructive power I have, I tried to cancel the spell, but it was too late, it was destroying everything around it. Not having much time to think, I conjured earth to stop my attack. Huge walls emerge from underneath, the huge pillars of earth contacting the crescents. A colossal shockwave thrashed the outskirts of the Great Forest of Jura and demon continent. When I had an idea of how big my attack was going to be, I rushed at Itzumi to protect him from my attack.

After the shockwave, I looked up and I had obliterated everything in a 32-kilometer radius. The ground had turn like an orange red lake of lava. There were no trees or plants, the air was heavy and hard to breath. You could see ash everywhere you looked. Looking at what I had done, a guilt feeling had started eating through me. God only knows how many creatures and flora I had kill.

A green light flashed a few kilometers from us, a beautiful woman appeared. When I looked at her, she gave me a similar feeling, just like when I had first met my sister Gaia. Her face changed to a horror look at seeing what had happened to the forest. All you could hear was like the crying of a mother who had just lost her baby forever. When she noticed Itzumi and I laying on the floor a few kilometers away from her, she started getting closer to us. She had anger and sorrow in her eyes.

"Who did this?!…Answer me! You pathetic life form!" She screeched.

"I'm so…soo…sorry, I didn't mean to. I just wanted to test my power. I didn't know this would happened… I'm sorry." I cried out.

"How dare you call my master that, he didn't mean to do it. He already apologized, it was an accident!"

Suddenly, the dryad shot a wave of aura, showing she was losing control of her feelings and powers. Unexpectedly, purple-like flames emerged from my hands, and something like a whisper told me to say something very strange.

"Unique Skill Epta Ark, Anubis Come Forth Judgment of the Diseased." I stuttered with tears in my eyes.

The dryad shot a green deadly ray at me with force. Anubis appeared in-front of me, protecting me, raising his obsidian black and golden staff to block the deadly ray. Anubis turned to look at the dryad enraged for her actions. He deflected the ray with ease, then he raised his hand and said with an Egyptian accent, "Death would be too merciful for someone with the audacity to try and hurt my master. You will now know what true despair is."

He grabbed the dryad by the throat with force, practically suffocating her, gripping so hard I though he was going to crush it. He brought her to his eyes, picking her up by the throat a few feet above the ground. Suddenly, Anubis's red eyes turned black as the abyss. The dryad's face seemed like she had met with death itself, like listening to death sing her a deadly lullaby. The skin around her eyes started turning black, she tried to escape from Anubis's sight. Her struggles were in vain.

"Anubis, stop hurting her!" I shouted.

"Master, she must be punished for her actions."

"I am Raseryx Domus Khaos, Conqueror of Worlds! A primordial god, son of Khaos and the rightful heir of all! Stop at once unless you would like to be sent to the abyss for eternity."

Anubis flinched with horror just by the idea of getting sent to the abyss. Slowly loosening up his grip from the dryad's throat, she gagged when the air started entering her lungs once again, regaining back her skin color and her breathing momentum. She looked at Anubis bewilder and asked him who he is, and what did he want from the inhabitants from the Great Forest of Jura.

"Need something from you? Lowly worms… who don't even deserve to be in the presence of the ruler of all."

"Anubis… must we have a talk about mother's beloved creation. For her and me, you're all the same. We care and love you equally, never forget that."

"As you say my lord, I can't even try to fathom your all-mighty wisdom."

"Anubis, what have I… how many times must…disregard that. Why are you here?"

"My lord called upon me, I'm just your mere servant if you call upon me. I'll come the outmost haste, my lord."

"Ah, I see. Well, if that's all, you can leave now. I'll handle the rest from here."

"My lord, I must stay here to protect you from this creature. If I may be so brazen my lord, there is one more thing I must do before you permit me to leave. I must gather all the souls around here that my lord has provided. May I start, my lord?"

"What do you mean by souls I provided?"

"At the time, my lord had his battle with the spider about 15 kilometers from here about 10,000 demon solders were approaching the Great Forest of Jura to attack the creatures inhabiting the forest. There's about 258 monsters you've slayed."

"I'm more than capable to take care of myself. Just do what you must."

The dryad couldn't believe what the dog-like creature had just said and done. She stayed on the floor prostrated. Suddenly, the dog-like figure waved his scepter in a circular motion. The ashes obstructed the sight like a thick fog in fall, the dryad tried to find a place where the powerful strike hadn't reached. When purple bluish light appeared a few kilometers from where she was standing, she became surrounded by the lights. Thousands of lights started moving and coming to him. The scepter started emanated a golden glow, absorbing all the minor lights. Every time the scepter absorbed a light, the dryad felt how the power emanating from the light banished. It didn't take her long to understand what was happening. The creature called Anubis, was absorbing the souls of the decease.

"I'm no one to stand in your way, but why must you take the souls of everyone who has fallen here today"

"You shall not question the will of my master, you pathetic low life form." Anubis said.

"Anubis, stop it with the insults. I need to ask you somethings. One, could you help me fix the forest? I don't think I have enough magiculs to do it alone. Two, is it necessary for you to take all the souls? And three, why is a simple spell so powerful?"
