I am not Trash

Trash is almost as synonymous to Jiang Tian's name in the whole Red City, he was completely treated as one and even though his Father tried to suppress the people that is calling him with that name he was still able to hear them from here and there occasionally.

But because he knew that his strength was weak he wasn't able to do anything about it, a person who is already at the age of sixteen was only at the second level of Body Refinement and it seemed as if his strength would only stay to that point no matter what he did.

But because he didn't want to bow his head to faith Jiang Tian grit his teeth and tried to train his body, no matter how hard he had to train he didn't give up, his will was strong same with his conviction to rise up to the top.

And like the universe was answering his prayers a voice sounded inside his head one day when he was fifteen years of age, the voice claimed that it was something that can grant him his wishes to rule over everything under the heavens and rise to the very top.

At first he didn't want to believe it but as time went on he started to talked with it and the more that he did e learned what is the name of the entity that is inside his head, The Heavenly Monarch System or so it claimed it to be was a power that appears every time a qualified person appears.

The system said that he was the ninth host, and that previous eight all failed to rise up from their peers. All of the previous host was dead, and with the host dead the system went to find the next host but this time it was different from before.

The system claimed that he was he would be the last that will become the host, it claimed that a cycle can only last nine times just like how every cultivation have nine levels and with the eight lives of the system being used up Jiang Tian would become the last host.

After some time Jiang Tian trusted what the system said to him, and for the last six months he stared preparing the various ingredients and equipment to start the merging process with the system. But when they were about to carry out the merging process they were suddenly ambushed and the process was halted.

When they were pushed to the brink of death they chose to risk both of their lives to merge with one another, and because of this haste the system functions were locked and only the most basic featured remain.

Jiang Tian didn't mind this though, he was happy to gain the strength he sought after, and all of this was because of the system. The strength of a seventh level Body Refinement martial practitioner was not something he would be able to gain without it, but this strength and with his life with it was about to be taken all because he was hasty to level up and gain strength.

At this very moment the presence of death loom over behind him, and it was quickly making its way towards his direction. Death was about to welcome him just after a week he gained the power to rise up from everybody else.

A black and purple colored streak of light flew in the air accompanied by the roar of Mo Xin, his arrow was awe-inspiring the power it held was tremendous as it was able to bend the surrounding air in its vicinity.

Feeling the death closing in on him Jiang Tian begun to feel the system shaking inside his mind, both of them was about to die but for some reason he felt alive as his blood was beginning to boil, he was actually excited from this.

[Danger, this is it the excitement that comes with rising to prominence all of those legends and myths in the story that I have heard since I was young all face adversaries like this, they face challenges that involves life and death.]

A smile crept on Jiang Tian's exhausted face, he stopped in place and faced the arrow that is flying at him with fast speed. He gaze at it with his black eyes, as his hair fluttered around the wind he took off the cloth that was covering his face.

[I can't hide my face, I am someone that will rise to the top and everybody will know who I am. I cannot let anything stop me I have to face dangers head on to improve I have to show them I the one that is doing this so I cannot hide my face anymore, I am a person that will become a monarch of the heavens I cannot die here.]

Jiang Tian knew that he did not have any chance of escaping this situation, even if he use the Flash Step he wouldn't be able to avoid the arrow. The only option he have now is to face the arrow head on, and in the face of almost certain death a realization came to him.

And that is, a monarch do not back down from any trouble and they all face it with their all held up in the sky.

Even though Jiang Tian was not a true monarch, he still held the destiny of one. If not then he wouldn't gain the recognition of the system and become the last host it will possess, the system was also gambling with him by making him the last host.

Standing his ground Jiang Tian roared on top of his lungs, his handsome face was filled with arrogance as he shouted "Hear me people of the Red City, I am Jiang Tian of the Jiang Clan and in this very moment I will show the strength of the trash that you have belittled for the past sixteen years."

The shout ear splitting announcement of Jiang Tian travelled all over the City causing the people who was sleeping to wake up, the people that was close in the area where Jiang Tian was battling were already awake but because they were all afraid that they will be dragged into the fight outside they all hid inside their houses.

But upon hearing the soul earth shaking announcement of the person claiming Jiang Tian of the Jiang Clan, they all started taking a peek of what was happening outside. And what they saw made them opened their mouth from disbelief.

What they saw was a black and purple light arrow tearing the air flying towards Jiang Tian whose entire body was drenched with sweat and blood, his upper body didn't have any clothes, and his left shoulder had a hole made by an arrow through it.

But despite his appearance his face carried a delighted smile… no it was more of excitement. People started to appear from all over the place, Meng Ge was also one of these people.

Looking at Jiang Tian Meng Ge was in disbelief, he was one of the people that had mocked Jiang Tian all this time. He didn't respect him in anyway, and seeing him about to face an attack even he was not able to guard against made him laughed at his idiocy.

"The fool, that attack is not something a seventh level Body Refinement martial practitioner can defend against, even I a person at the eight level cannot defend against it. Those guys from the Black Storm Mercenary is not all talk after all." Meng Ge was laughing from Jiang Tian's idiotic decision.

Before he got here he was angered by the chance of Jiang Tian fooled him all this time, but seeing that he was about to die that anger turned to delight as he learned that even though his strength was truly stronger that what he knew his head was still as idiotic.

Then amidst all these onlooker emerging one after another, Jiang Tian suddenly took a horse position and prepared himself to take on the attack.

Ding Ding

"Mission have been triggered, if host is able to defend and live through the Devil Piercer of Mo Xin. Host will be prompted to level eight of the system."

Hearing the system notice going off Jiang Tian became delighted [A mission at this time how convenient, seems like my choice was right.]

Laughing Jiang Tian begun to circulate his spiritual energy at full speed, he did not have any weapon nor did he have any defensive type martial technique that can help him in his situation.

"Come" Jiang Tiam roared as arrow that was flying to him like a madman, a pressure suddenly burst out of his body. His spiritual energy was being ignited by him at this very moment, the veins of his body started to bulge from the sudden bust of spiritual energy.

Swoosh

The arrow was like lightning, and the moment Jiang Tian felt the pressure coming from this arrow he was pressured. The energy coming from the arrow was immense, that was because Mo Xin poured all of his remaining enrgy to the Devel Piercer.

The technique called the Devil Piercer was a technique that have a high attacking might, and the only person that Mo Xin knew who survive this attack was bear their leader. This attack used up a lot of spiritual energy that is why he rarely use this technique.

And because of this when he use this technique he will be out of spiritual energy so he will be needing the assistance of his teammate to move. Shin was use to this task as he was his partner in most of the jobs but every time he sees the Devil Piercer of Mo Xin he couldn't helped but feel admiration for him.

[This attack can kill anyone that is in the eight level of Body Refinement and under, this kid is only at the seventh level and he plans to take it head on? This is nothing but suicide.]

Shaking his head Shin moved to Mo Xin's side to assist him.

Boom

Jiang Tian took on the attack, his body met with the arrow. His feet was planted on the ground as he tried to endure the pressure from it, the Devil Piercer was truly powerful this was the thought inside Jiang Tian's head.

The arrow head was in contact of Jiang Tian's palm, he was trying to stop it from going further with his bare hands, his spiritual energy was originally about to be used up even while he was running away from the two.

And now that he using it to defend the energy inside his body was burning up even more, it was as if his energy was being drained from him, while his energy was being depleted the arrow was still the same from before.

The strength that it exerted did not change, his palm drip with blood as the arrow slowly pierce his hands. Although he wanted to stop the arrow it didn't mean that he could, the arrow was an all-out attack of a eight level Body Refinement so how can he stopped it that easily?

Jiang Tian was panting as he kept the energy flow inside his body going [Damn this arrow is something else, the spiritual energy use in this is not ordinary that Mo Xin is ruthless using this kind of attack on me while I'm exhausted.]

Jiang Tian was being overpowered, then as it continued his feet that was originally planted on the ground like a nail begun to be move backwards, he was being pushed back by the arrow.

Noticing this Jiang Tian knew that he wouldn't be able to defend anymore and it was only a matter of time before he would be pierce through. Then as he tried to stopped it a thought sprout in his head [I don't have to stopped it to live, if I can't stopped it then I just have to..]

Jiang Tian roared, the energy that was evenly distributed in his body was directed to his two arms, without the spiritual energy nailing him to the ground Jiang Tian was blasted from where he was standing.

Flying to the air with the arrow in his palm Jiang Tian move at high speed.

Boom

After flying for five hundred meters Jiang Tian suddenly move both of his arm and made the arrow in his hands redirect its direction. Jiang Tian crashed to a house destroying its walls, he coughed up blood and turned his head to the right there he saw the arrow embedded in the wall.

With pain all over his body he laughed and whispered to himself "I live"

Then from that weak voice he said "I am not trash."
