Chapter 15: A Heart-to- Heart

Anita arrived at the park early, her mind racing with thoughts and emotions. She saw Angel already there, sitting on a bench, her eyes fixed on the ground.

Anita approached her, her heart pounding in her chest. "Hey," she said softly, sitting down beside her.

Angel looked up, her eyes filled with a mix of sadness and determination. "Hey, Anita. I'm so sorry again for what happened earlier. Rachel just won't let go."

Anita took a deep breath, her voice gentle. "Angel, I understand that you have a past, and I'm not expecting you to erase it. But I need to know that I'm a priority to you, that our relationship means something to you."

Angel's eyes locked onto hers, her gaze intense. "Anita, you are my priority. You are the one I want to be with, the one I love. Rachel may have been my past, but you are my future."

Anita's heart swelled at Angel's words, her doubts slowly fading away. She knew that Angel was telling the truth, that their love was real.

"I love you too, Angel," Anita said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Angel's face lit up with a smile, her eyes shining with happiness. "I love you, Anita. We'll face whatever comes our way, together."

As they hugged, Anita knew that their love was strong enough to overcome any obstacle, any challenge that came their way.
