The Heartless Lord's Possession

"Don't you dare to fall in love with me. You are just my mistress and will be nothing more than that. You aren't qualified to be my wife or mother of my child." Lifting the chin of the girl kneeling below his feet, Arik, the Lord of Grasal spoke coldly. "Yes, Lord" the girl replies in a feeble voice. A few drops of tears fell from her eyes. Never in his wildest dream would he have imagined that one day, he would go back on his own words.

Who was he??

In the morning, Shikhar had bad news.

"Bro, do you know the driver of that truck is dead? He was also injured and admitted to the hospital. He died ten minutes ago." Shikar was panting while speaking.

"Someone must have killed himself to close his mouth. The opposition must have thought he may leak the plan so it was better to discard. What a boring way of playing a game." Arik played with his fingers and remained uninterested.

"Bro, why are you—"

"Shh, I haven't done anything and I won't do such lowly work. I had expected it to happen. I know you will question why I didn't save him. It's because he is of no use to us either." Arik spoke unhurriedly.

"Were you investigating those things all night?" Shikhar asked with certainty.

Arik smirked in response.

"Why was I worrying in the first place?" Shikhar shook his head and walked to the kitchen.

In Asnar,

Inside Arik base, Kris was seated on the head seat of a table. A man kept a small parcel box on the table.

"You mean to say this is for Boss but the sender is anonymous." Kris questioned the man who brought the parcel.

"Yes, vice leader. The person who sent it is from Grasal but the identity of the sender is unknown. This wasn't sent by mail but sent through some trained people who are stationed outside the forest." the man responded quickly.

"Who could send it and why send it with so caution? Should we open it…No, no it's for Boss so I shouldn't open it casually…" Kris began to mumble on his own.

"Leader, what if it is a work from our rivals? Who knows it can be explosive…" One of the men seated around the table spoke.

"Nah, it can't be. Otherwise our device would have detected it from afar." Another one spoke.

The group was conflicted whether to open the parcel or not.

"Leader, why don't you ask the Boss?" The man who brought the parcel spoke.

"We can't disturb –" another person was about to speak when Kris raised his hand signalling them to stop.

"He is right. Let's talk with Boss. It can be something important to the Boss." Kris made the decision.

A call went on…

"Why the f**king are you calling me? Don't tell me you can't handle the people." As soon as the call was picked, Arik started to scold.

"Ahem, Boss, you are doubting my ability. Don't make me embarrassed in front of our people." The fierce Kris turned meek.

"Oh!! Give me a proper reason otherwise I am gonna make you ashamed in front of them." Arik spoke haughty.

"Don't do that. Umm…Boss, someone has sent you a parcel from Grasal but the sender is anonymous. What should we do with it? Should I open and check the content?" Kris questioned carefully.

"Parcel from Grasal huhh..?? Check the parcel all around. There can be some sort of number, code or sign. Look carefully." Arik spoke with a few considerations.

Kris turned the parcel upside down, left right. On an inconspicuous folded corner was a code.

"Yes, boss. There seems to be something like a code and it can't be read." Kris replied hurriedly.

"Can that code be removed? Try to rub it with kerosene."

After applying kerosene the code disappeared and another code appeared.

"There is a code inside code. It's written B2S×VU. Boss, even if I can read, I don't understand–" Kris began to feel dejected.

"Send it immediately to me using our best people. I need it as soon as possible. Hurry." Arik made an order and ended the call. Arik's hurried tone alerted Kris. So, with his best man (the man who brought the parcel) the parcel was send back to Grasal personally.

Back to Grasal,

Arik had only finished his talk with Shikar when Kris called him.

'The code…huhh!!' Arik was trying to crack the code. If whatever, he was thinking was correct then the parcel should be from Neil. The code should be a message. Arik was confused how the parcel reached and why was it send to Asnor. Not finding any answer, He decided to wait.

He was currently drinking liquor early in the morning in his empty stomach. Shikar has seen it but didn't questioned.

After that Arik was busy investigating matter of Grasal and the incident. He was suprised that beside those rescue team, two men in their forties and few handful people none was trying to search for Neil and his father or grieving their dissapearance. The news of both father and son been found hadn't leaked within the group too.

From ANB Corps, no one tried to contact or search for Neil even when he was the CEO. (Beside the anonymous Chairman)

From the mafia, only a few handful loyal subordinates were present. The rescue team and two men were the father- son's own personal force.

'How could all those bastards act so highly and be open about their dislike? Weren't those people afraid to offend someone they shouldn't? How could they rebel when someone was on their low? And how dare they eye on the position which isn't originally theirs?' Arik was angry thinking those question.

The thing that confused Arik the most was how and when the enemies infiltrated godfather's people and the old man didn't noticed it and in addition how and when was his godfather poisoned either. It can't be a work from a month or a year ago but a plan implemented for a long time. Why was the old man sitting so patiently and what was he waiting for? Was it to investigate some past or was there something more...

Lot of thing were unanswered. He can't represent godfather or Neil directly as people have forgot his identity and it wasn't the right time to make them remember. Years ago, the old man had informed him that he was already declared dead in the eyes of public that means to say his past identity won't work.

It would be troublesome to assume his old identity and prove he was still alive. The old man did that to make his life easier and safe. Arik didn't know why was the old man trying to hide him and from whom. It was an unknown reason but because of that he was kept far from Grasal. It must be related to his family.

Neil and Shikar said he had some facial similarity with his mother and his eyes and the mole were similar to his father. He can't neglect the hard work of old man trying to hide his existence and show his face in public. He had to be alert, hide his identity from public and still be savage. None can hurt his people. He had to find a way to execute his plan.

Sometime he was bewildered with himself. Just who was he??
