Termia Time Part 1

Elvina's story

As they walk through the rift the space begins to fold in and contort itself in unimaginable ways. The light fades as a feeling of vertigo takes root deep inside the trio. "Hey! Hey! I can't see! Jeff? Elvina!" Shoto shouts desperately into an empty void. "I'm here brother! Stay calm, remember what master Kane told us about this part!" Jeff shouts back as he fights against the urge to scream. "This shouldn't last too long. Just don't puke on me. I'll be pissed if you do, Shoto!" Elvina speaks calmly, surprising the two of them. "Elvina!? How are you so calm?" Jeff asks and she just laughs. "hahaha! Have either of you been abandoned in the woods for four months with nothing hot here? This is just vertigo, it ain't nothing closing your eyes and circulating your blood can't fix." He smiles and says. "You know, i have yet to say it. I believe you may be the strongest girl I've met aside from dragons. Okay, Shoto! Circulate your blood! The three of us should enter this place with a solid body and clear mind, we are headed to an alternate dimension after all! We have no idea what may be waiting for us once we exit this space!"

Jeff calms himself down and begins to circulate his blood like Elvina had. The vertigo is dissipating? I understand what she meant now, this rift acts like poison to our bodies. We just need to purge that effect by circulating our blood and focusing on our bodies. Incredible! I may have been wrong about her, or maybe her training was just so intense that she changed and grew mentally? To his surprise he begins to feel himself steady again. "The fuck does blood circulation have to do with an inter dimensional portal, dumbass?" Shoto shouts and Elvina replies. "Just do it ya damn block head! If you don't we're going to have to cover your ass as soon as we get out of this!" "She's right brother! Remember! We're Anzu, not human, elf or dwarf! This portal is acting as poison to our bodies, so we have to purge the effects immediately!" "You guys both suck! Whatever I'll do it, but you two dicks better quit gangi'n up on me!" They argue and he finally begins to focus on circulating his blood as well.

oh? Well whatever. Who cares if they were right. I'm still faster than the both of them combined! Just wait bitch, I'll show you who's stronger. Clearly annoyed that they were right they all focus on circulating their blood for what seems like hours. ZZTT! WHIR! FWOOM! The sound of the gate closing causes them to open their eyes, only to see that they are at least a hundred meters from the ground and are beginning to fall. Jeff snaps his head to the left and locks eyes with Elvina and Shoto they all nod, shuffle through the air and grab hands. Forming a circle between them. "Anyone have a plan? We need one Immediately!" He shouts and Elvina nods. "I have one, but it's sketchy! Shoto, any bright ideas?!" She shouts desperately and Shoto screams. "H-Holy shit!!" She sighs and shouts. "Both of you get on my back! This is gonna suck!" Jeff nods and floats behind her with Shoto in hand. They latch onto her back and she scrams. "I'm gonna copy Kengi's thing with everything i got! It'll slow jus enough so we don't splat!"

she shout's and notices the the ground is approaching much faster than it should've so she points her fingers straight down and light purple lightning crackles all rounder her. thirty… twenty… ten! "You might want to-" ZZTT! BOOM! The lightning shoots down and strikes the ground with such a a heavy force that a thirty meter crater was formed from the impact and it kicks dust up everywhere as well. Jeff opens his eyes and looks around. "Elvina! Shoto!" He shouts because he's blinded by the dust. "Hey bro! I'm all good! What the hell did she shoot off? How's that supposed to be dad's thing?" Shoto shout's back both surprised and annoyed. "Hey, can either of you two move in base form?" Elvina's voice rings through the dust, clear and calm. Jeff tries to sit up and realizes that he physically can't. "No! What is this? I feel like I'm at least four times heavier than before?" "Yo! Why can't I move! Every time i try it feels like my bones are gonna snap! Jeff help me out!" 

Shoto shouts and Jeff sighs. "What part of i cannot move did you not hear or understand? It looks like the gravity here is much more intense than we thought. Can either of you transform in this condition?" Step. Step. Step. He hears footsteps off to the right side of his head and darts his eyes accordingly, only to be surprised at the sight of Elvina covered head to toes in a deep golden glow. Her silver eye sparkling against the golden glow of her body, the runes on her arms and neck glow bright silver and deep gold as well. Her muscles are twice as big and her pure white tail is wrapped around her waist. The claws at the tips of her fingers are much more like talons than before and bright gold in color as well. "Elvina? What is this transformation?" He asks and she just shrugs. "Not too sure. I'm only in my first form right now, but after i formed my Origin it changed from fur to this." He smiles and says. "It looks like your body is slowly becoming more attuned to itself." She nods and says. "Well. I do like this more. I definitely feel stronger than before. You should transform too. We need to move, we're too exposed here."

he nods and instantly his body doubles in size and muscle mass. His forearms, chest, back, neck and forehead are all covered in a thick layer of scarlet red scales and a draconic tail pushes him to his feet. His horns grow slightly and he smiles. "Alright. That's better, but we need to acclimate our base forms to the gravitational force of this dimension. It will not only help us conserve energy, but the stronger our bases are our transformations will be that much stronger as well." She nods and the two walk over to Shoto who just grumbles. "What the fuck? How are you two even able to walk? Why are you transformed anyway?" Elvina and Jeff sigh and she says. "Our transformation makes us stronger, block head. Stronger bodies=walking, dumbass." He scoffs and says. "Yeah, well whatever! I knew that already, bitch. I was just making sure you two chuckle fucks could do it first." Smack! Pop! "Ow!" "Hey! What was that for?" Jeff pops Shoto on the head with his finger and smacks Elvina upside the back of hers. "You two play nice. Also, watch the language. We're Anzu, not beasts. So we speak like we are civilized." Elvina sarcastically raises her hand and says. "I'm technically a fell blooded beast, so i guess i can say whatever i want."

Pop! "Hey, man! Chill. It was a joke." Shoto chuckles and transforms into his first form as well. His height stays the same, but his muscles grow more defined and vibrantly colored topaz wings emerge from his back. His fingertips grow talons slightly smaller than Elvina's that are azure blue instead of gold. His eyes shift to a deep topaz blue color as well, he stands to his feet and smiles. "Alright, what's the plan? Or who's in charge i guess?" The three of them look between one another and nod. "Me." "Jeff." "Jeff." They all say together and Shoto and Elvina both look at him slightly annoyed and say. "You really vote for yourself, dude?" He nods and points to Shoto. "You are much to rash for the position. You swing first and ask questions later, those are not the qualities of a good leader. They are the ones of an enthusiastic soldier." He nods and says. "Okay, you're not wrong." He then points to Elvina and says. "I still do not know much about you to be entirely honest, but the fact that you challenged Gabe to a fist fight and said; and I quote. 'It's on sight.' Is less than ideal for a leader in this situation as well."

she nods and says. "I agree. I don't want to lead anything anyway. I'm here to fight, so if you think you know best I'll just go with it for now." He smirks and says. "For now, huh? Alright, you two. We will be here for seven years together, so our first order of business is to find shelter and have a few learning exchanges with each other. Namely, Shoto and myself will be sparring with you Elvina. We need to know everything about each of our combat styles and strategies. We need to intimately understand each other's strengths and weaknesses as well as our best moves, secret abilities and trump cards. That way the three of us can cover each other's weaknesses and boost each other's strengths." She smiles and says. "You spent a lot of time with Yue, didn't you?" He nods and says. "I did. She's truly incredible. I am quite jealous that you hogged her up for as long as you did to be honest." The three of them smile and Shoto says. "So. We gonna make a name for our team or what?" They look at him and Jeff asks. "Do you have one in mind?" He smiles and says. "The Flash, The Dragon and The Phoenix!"

they shake their heads and Elvina says. "Dude. I'm a hybrid." Jeff says, "and you're a Thunderbird." Shoto says. "Well, that don't really roll off the tongue ya know." Elvina says. "Yeah, and neither does that name." He nods. "Agreed. It is more like titles than a group name." She says. "Why not something like Strike Force Koan?" Jeff laughs and says, "I think that may just be cringy to be honest. We will hold off on a name for now. Let's head out, we've already spent too much time here." They nod and follow Jeff to the top of the crater and they all stare in shock and awe at the sight before their eyes. A purple sky with three suns, massive rock formations covered in blue moss and foliage. The trees have blue and purple leaves and the waterfalls in the distance are a silvery green color. "So… cool." Shoto says and Jeff sighs. "Yes. Cool is one word you could use, but the ecosystem here is so different from what we know I'm afraid we may have trouble finding food and water that will not poison us." Elvina chuckles and he asks. "Did i say something funny?"

she nods and says. "Pfft! Yeah, you kinda did. I'm a hybrid beast and you two are top grade Anzu. One literal dragon and the other is a thunderbird. We don't really need to eat like humans, elves or dwarves. I've been eating raw meat and random shit I could find in the woods for months now and i feel way better too." He exhales heavily. "Aaahhh… so you went feral during your training, huh? That explains the shift in your aura. Well, even if we do that how do we know what's okay for us to eat and what isn't?" She shrugs and says. "Just eat a little bit and wait like thirty minutes or so and see how you feel. If you're good, then you're good. If not toss it." Shoto nods and says. "Sounds good to me, if we're fine then we're fine. I'd say that makes sense." Jeff sighs and points to an elevated position within the dense blue forest and says. "Okay then. We don't have much of a choice anyway, but first we head to that spot over there and gain some ground. We set up a camp and we'll start with training." The nod and all dash forward, aside from Shoto who just fly's.

Jeff and Elvina sprint as fast as they can leaping, sliding, vaulting and flipping effortlessly over any obstacles in their path all the while laughing. Shoto soars through the wait ten meters above them as he weaves through the trees with ease as well and in no time at all they reach the spot Jeff had designated as their base. Shoto touches down in front of them and Jeff smiles. "You move well for having one eye. I'm impressed that you kept up with me." She smirks. "Yeah, well I'm impressed you didn't trip with as bulky as you are." Shoto laughs. "I know right! He's huge, but he's still stupid fast!" He smiles and says. "Alright you two, first i say we each say our element affinities and our specialties within those elements." They nod and he continues. "In that case i will go first. My element is Fire. I specialize in hand to hand combat so i am mainly a close range fighter. I have two special moves my first is a little something i like to call Dragon's Breath. It is my only mid to long range attack. A trump card if you will. The second one is more like a fighting style i created with the guidance of Yue."

he continues. "I call it Volcanic Ash. It allows me to move and attack freely while confusing my opponent with a thick smokescreen as a form of cover. Other than that i just enhance my fist and feet techniques with my magic. Nothing too flashy really, i am a simple man." Shoto smiles and says. "Me next! I use Lighting and wind! I'm fast as fuck and I've got tons of killer moves, but i have two really sick moves. Lighting Javelin where i make a javelin from lightning and hurl that bitch right at you and Wind Cyclone. It's basically just a big ass twister that sucks you in and you spin all over." He smiles proudly and Jeff sighs and they look to Elvina who just shrugs. "I mean… i kinda don't really have names for what i do. I have one, but it'll probably kill you so I'm not gonna use that when we spar." They look at her confused and Shoto says. "Well my killer moves'll kill you too! You're not even that strong!" Jeff raises his hand and Shoto stops. "It's okay. I know you use dark and lighting and those two elements together are dangerous, but you could at least show us." She nods and says. "Before i do. I can use water, fire, wind, earth, light, and dark magic. I also use Xi too, but i mostly just use earth and fire for those."

Jeff and Shoto look at each other and back to her in disbelief as Shoto shouts, "bullshit! No way you use all six main magic and Xi too. Show me." Jeff nods and she shrugs. She waives her hands and thick streams of mana swirl around her body, above her head an orb of darkness condenses and to the right of her head an orb of water forms, to the left a small scarlet flame crackles. Wind lifts her off her feet and rocks just out of the ground. In front of her a small ball of light forms in the center of her hand and she smiles. "I'm better at controlling them all individually now, but it's still pretty hard. You wann see my Xi too, or do you just want me to show you my killer move?" Jeff begins to laugh and Shoto is visibly shaking. "You… you gotta be fuckin kiddi'n me man? All six?" He shouts. "Hahaha! That's unbelievably broken! I'm even more curious as to what your killer move is." She nods and all the magic recedes. Sh look at them and says. "You might wanna get behind me. This isn't something i can completely control yet, but i can fire it off without much problem." Jeff exclaims. "You can't completely control it!? It's imperfect?" She nods. "I just make it up when Gabe dropped me off in the forest, but if it hits it work good."

they nod and get behind her, she drops down with her left foot forward and right foot back to brace herself. She twists her body with her left shoulder facing forward as she brings her hands to her bellybutton. Thick tendrils of multicolored mana whip and swirl around her wildly before the all condense in the center of her hands and she smiles as she thrusts her arms forward and this massive ball of mana launches like a laser. ZZTT! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Lightning, ice, darkness, rock, wind blades, blue, scarlet, purple and green flames as well as beams of light tear through the forest leaving nothing but a scar on the land, toppled trees and a six meter trench that was the path of the magic she just released. The trench extends for another hundred and fifty meters and she turns to them and smiles. "That's it." She says nonchalantly as both Jeff and Shoto are left completely speechless. "Holy shit. Elvina, when you said you couldn't completely control it, did you mean that this is the weakest it is?" Jeff asks and she just shakes her head. "No. This is me holding back. I'd say that was seventy percent of what it can do. I meant that i can't completely control how it moves, so for now everything just shoots straight. I'm trying to figure out how to move it around like a whip or something."

Shoto points to the path of destruction she left behind and says. "Are you fucking kidding me right now?! That's actually insane! You're saying that was seventy percent? That looks like one hundred to me!" She smiles and says. "Well I haven't had to use full power except the first time i used it." Jeff pats her on the shoulder and says. "Well. I believe with you and i as the muscle and Shoto as the scout we should be just fine. Now, what's the name of this killer move?" She smiles and says proudly. "I call it, Mega Mana Boom Boom." he and Shoto Burt out laughing. "Hahaha! Seriously? Hahahaha!! I can't believe you have worse naming sense than Shoto!" "Dude? Mega Mana Boom Boom?! Hahahaha! What the fuck! Hahahaha! Why not Mana Bomb?!" The two tease her and she growls. "Whatever you two assholes! It think it's fine. How about you put your hands up and we'll see who's laughing after that?!" She shouts confidently as she gets into a fighting stance. Jeff smiles and says. "Alright, then. I'll spar with you first, but let us limit ourselves to martial arts and Anzu abilities only. Sound fair?" She unbuckles the belt her sword is sitting on and tosses it to Shoto. She tilts her head side to side, cracking her neck and interlocks her fingers while outstretching her arms, cracking her knuckles as well.

she pumps her fists and smirks. "I'm cool with just throwing hands. You ready, muscle-head?" He chuckles, and pushes his fingers down with his thumbs, cracking each knuckle individually as he smiles. "Alright, hot shot. Let's see what you got. A hybrid Phoenix versus a Dragon's child." She smirks. "You're excited too, huh? I'm gonna rock your thick head." He laughs at Elvina's statement and he replies just as sarcastic and confidently. "Well, in that case i guess I'll have to show you who's stronger. Did you not lear your lesson from the last time you challenged a stronger opponent recklessly?" He smirks as he places his finger just below his left eye. She scoffs, "yeah, I'd learnt a lot. I'll take you down in one minute tops." He smiles and they charge at each other so fast they're nothing but a blur. Elvina slashes with her golden talons, Clank! They bounce off the scales on his forearms as he blocks, his foot launches at her head and she ducks. He throws a right jab and she slips left; countering with an uppercut to his jaw. Thump!

he smiles as he cates her punch. He wraps his hand around her wrist and grabs her shoulder joint with the other as he shits his weight, he lowers his stance and breaks her root as he flips and pins her to the ground. "Your hands could use some work. You're a swordsman like Shoto as well, so I'm not surprised. I will say though, you have a much heavier fist than Shoto ever had." She grumbles. "Yeah, well how about you let me up and. We'll go for round two." He laughs and says. "Hahaha! No. I'll let you up and you'll have a single bout with Shoto. We must conserve our energy out here. I already know from crossing fists just once with you that I'll need you by my side, so now that that's settled you and Shoto have some fun." Shoto smiles as he tosses Elvina her sword and she smirks at him as she catches it. "You're gonna loose if you're as good with the sword as you are with your hands." He says sarcastically and she chuckles.

"you know, block head. I'm way better with a sword than you know. If you're not careful I'm gonna beat your ass, nah. I'll disarm you in twenty swings." Shoto smiles ear to ear and shouts. "You think? I have two swords and you have one, ya dumb bitch! I'll beat you so bad yer gonna cry!" She stands upright and proud as she unsheathes her sword in a single fluid motion. She spins and flourishes her sword so quick it almost seems still as the wins off the blade sings out and the foliage around her dances with the pressure she's exerting. No way she moves like that after not holding a sword for over four months? If that's her rusty then how fast and fluid are her movements in peak condition? Shoto thinks to himself and he sits as he unsheathes his swords. He drops into his stance and shouts. "You better get ready bitch! I'm using magic!" She smiles and says. "Well then. If we're using magic I'll just reinforce myself and my sword."

lilac colored lighting crackles around her body and blackish-purple tendrils wrap around her arm. Her silver eye lets out a faint lilac glow as the tendrils spread and condense overtop her arm from the shoulder and down to the tip of her sword. The lighting crackles around her sword and arm and she smirks and taunts him. "I'm ready, block head. You coming or you just gonna stand there with your young on the floor?" He grips his swords and azure blue Lighting crackles all around his body and with a powerful flap from his wings she's thrown off her feet. He soars in above her and slashes down with both swords, she grits her teeth and digs the talons on her right hand into the ground and uses that as a root to twist her body. She flips her sword into reverse grip, Clang! She block successfully and in an instant she bicycle cicks him away and launches herself towards him. She flips her sword back around and drives it straight up, thrusting right at his chest.

he flaps his wings and blows her back to the ground and she smiles as she squats and with one push she instantly covers the fifteen meter gap and she's now just ten centimeters away from his face. "What?" She slashes up vertically, Clang! He block with his left and slashes diagonally with his right sword, Smack! She grabs his wrist, smiles and jerks him forward. BOOM! "Got Dayum!" He shouts as he lurches back, BOOM! "AAAHHH! Stop!" He shouts as she continues to headbutt him and she shouts back. "I bet you have a glass jaw!" She loosens her grip and swings around to his back, pinning his wings and he shouts as they fall from the air. "Yo! Yo! Y-" BOOM! They crack into the ground and she struggles up to her feet, wobbly and unsteady. "Th-that… was. A bit r-rougher… than i thought." Shoto lies face down in the dirt and after a few seconds all of their magic dissolves and she collapses as well. Jeff shakes his head and says. "That was reckless. You know the gravity here is much stronger and you still fell from fifteen meters up, without breaking your fall."

Shoto weakly grumbles. "The b-bitch… is crazy… I like i-it. Give m-me a few minutes. I'll kick h-her ass… in a m-minute." She says sarcastically. "I did. What i could… to win. Flying is c-cheating. Asshole." Jeff sighs as he lift the two up and says. "We camp for now. We'll find food tomorrow morning… whenever that is here?" They nod and rest up for a few hours before gathering leaves, vines, twigs and branches. They pitch tents and ready themselves for the long road ahead.
