The heart of the marked

Two stars that were born in the same time and night, under the same sky but in different worlds. A boy who brought the heaven over the Abasaba Empire and a girl who brought nothing but warmth over the poor family in the Northern part, outside of the Empire's walls. An Empress who is thirsty for power and blood and a mother who died in vain just so her name could be used again. "Your name will be Cassarius. Just as the name holds, you'll bring the courage, luck and justice over our people. Lead them with pride and hold the guards up, for you are the one who keeps the water calm." --- "We'll call you Amelia. When your name will be on people's lips, it will sound just like a violin symphony. As your name holds, you'll the truth and behind the guard of the lead your place will be. Keep everyone warm and show them the meaning behind faith."

The stars of Abasaba part. 1

The only company that sheltered the weakened body of the mother, was the moon herself, being a witness to what the path had prepared for the one who took its' first breath.

As the 'fate of the Empire' was born, the birds that were kept as a symbol of purity in the palace, were released on each window that was kissed by the holy light of the moon. In the palace, every corner was silenced and prepared for a blessing that had millions of smiles put on and hopes for a brighter future. Through the hallways of the palace, the quick steps of the cleric and the sound of the small bells, could be heard running to the Emperor's chambers.

As he bowed in front of him with all the respect and happiness he felt, the cleric spoke: "Your Majesty, the Sun of our Empire and the savior of so many lives that already showed you the Grace, you have been blessed with a son. His white hair that resembles the cold snow at its' finest, the blue eyes in which the ocean's shadow hides and the soft touch of a figure that our Goddess gave him, he is the heir of Abasaba's throne."

Upon hearing the wise words of the cleric, the Emperor couldn't take much more happiness into his heart, than knowing he was given a son. "Hasmus, we've been greatly blessed by The Goddess herself with an heir that inherited the holy blood of the land but also the mark that our Gods has put on the gate of the heavens themselves. Give word to everyone in the Empire, that the Emperor and its' people, have been blessed with a child whose appearance was gifted by the Goddess of Abasaba."

The cleric shed tears, not of sadness but of happiness. As his eyes wondered outside the balcony of His Highness chamber, he looked up to the sky and witnessed something that only he could see clearly: the birth of two different stars that were placed on distant locations. The white star was shining on top of the palace, giving as much light that even the burning candles of the street have faded away. The second star was shining brightly upon a day distance outside of the walls of the empire, scattering an unusual rose light. He knew in that moment that the fate of the Abasaba, has been already decided and out of happiness and pain of the heart, he knelt down on the balcony cold floor and raised his hands to the sky with his dark eyes closed.

"Oh, Great Goddess and our Gracious God, great be your name and glorifying your existence, we thank you for the hope and blessing you gave us. With those empty hands and faith I have, here kneeled in front of you with nothing but love to give, I ask of you to light the paths of those 'marked hearts' upon their journey called life. Take them far and make them sound and wise of every corner that this world has to give or hide. Keep them close and show them the meaning of faith and love, that only the blessed could see and feel. Oh, our Great Moon, blessed be their souls and safe be their steps, we pray.."

The words of the cleric travelled a long way to the Emperor's heart and made his stone walls, shatter piece by piece as his faith was never ignored, as his prayers were always heard, he's been blessed and put to peace by the holy night he got to live in. He looked at the cleric and with his eyes big of curiosity he asked with a warm voice: "What did you witness, high cleric?"

The cleric stood up from the floor and grabbed the small cross that was hanging around his neck. Praying in his own mind and kissing the cross, Hasmus closed the Emperor's eyes and pressed the holy cross on his forehead gently. He mumbled a prayer that could be heard by the ones who believe, then smiled and his hand patted his own chest while looking at His Majesty.

"When your father died, when our King has close his eyes in that cold night of winter, through the snowy path to the mage's tower, a lady with white long hair that covered her shiny back, cut our way. Stopping us from moving on to take the procedures we have for His Highness last walk, she smiled and spoke with her arms wide opened; You, believers of Abasaba, do not mourn and live in fear because only then the blessing shall come over the Empire. As the sun rises in the morning and it warms you with its' light and gives you courage to go forward with your life, born will be a son in whose shadow everyone will live and free be them from disaster. As the moon takes over the earth and brings the truth in your hands in the darkest moments, but still sits with you through the night, born will be a girl in whose arms no poison or sadness you'll be knows of. Take my words and remember that when the stars are two, alone on an naked night sky, then the words I spoke before your eyes and ears become true. The disaster will be long gone while the Moon loves the Sun, and while the Sun shields the Moon."

The words of the cleric were wise and the warmth in his voice was melting all the ice the Emperor had around his soul. Not a moment passed, but he ordered for his fur coat to be brought, so he can walk his way to his heir. Before leaving the room, as the cleric was praying, he spoke with a calm tone; "Tell me, where is the girl?" He smiled and bowed before the Emperor as he looked straight into his eyes; "We'll know when we'll see and we'll see when the time decides to tell us. Until then we shall wait and keep ourselves in faith towards her grace, The Goddess of Abasaba."

There was no time to be wasted, for a father that just heard along the hallways, the silent cry of his newborn son, the next heir to the throne. The way to the room where Isabelle, his companion was, felt long and his feet couldn't keep up with him as much, but the desire to see his son kept him going. Entering the room where the silence took over it, he stopped. A few maids were cleaning the bed and around the room, while the crib was swinging slowly by another maid, as the baby was in it. He approached it with small steps, just like being scared that the earth will collapse if he makes a wrong move. His eyes became a lake and turned themselves into a glass that just splashed the water down his cheeks, seeing for the first time the ocean blue eyes that were too blue to be real.

"Not even diamonds have this color and let's not speak about sapphires, but you my son are made by the hands of the Goddess which took her time and patience to create such a beauty." He picked up the small being and in his big arms it was just like a feather. So small and so fragile, that he felt he could brake it anytime, while inside him, something told him that whatever it takes, that's the son he longed for, the one he should protect with his own life.

His fingers were caressing the baby's face slowly and as gentle as he could, so he won't be scared of the touch of his father, not now and not ever. "Where is Isabelle? Did something unfortunate happened?" through his words, the fear could be felt.

He loves Isabelle, but he's aware that he won't ever be able to give her the title of Empress since she was born as a commoner. This didn't stop him to take her with him and make her the mother of the first born, because the love he carried for her for years, not even half of the Empire could have towards him.

"Your Highness, the lady is in her room. She is resting since the labor of the child was long and painful. If you wish to see her, please allow me to lead the way and help you in need." Isabelle's personal maid spoke.

Such happiness the kid brought into the palace and such happiness was born into another family. Two stars that shined together and so on they will shine, only if one another has its' back.
