Story of Sparrow’s Bravery
Under the palace guard's shelter, Mirabella sat on a wooden bench with her eyes wide open. Before her lay an array of plates piled high with mountains of food and Dusthaven delicacies.
She couldn't fathom how she had gone from being a daughter abandoned by her mother at a young age, with a father who didn't know how to feed a baby, to this overwhelming feast before her.
Her gaze shifted to Gideon, who pressed his lips into a thin line, silently eating the food on his plate, and then to her crew, who were oddly staring at the ceiling in unison. She gulped, already dreading the chewing and grinding her mouth would have to endure to finish the meal.
"All this... only for me?" she asked hesitantly, pointing a finger at herself.
Caius and Liora looked at her intently, their expressions urging her to eat. Feeling awkward under their gaze, Mirabella picked up her spoon and began eating. Only then did the couple reveal satisfied smiles.
