"Come here."
Mirabella stood rooted in her place, her body and mind not letting her step forward. She didn't know what service the king would ask her for, but she was not ready to do any of that, especially not for the man with his shirt off.
Eros, with his closed eyes, frowned, not hearing the movements of the woman. "Don't forget the book you burned just now. Even if you sell this ship, you can't cover half of its value."
Mirabella's lips twitched. Is he for real? Just because the book's cover was decorated with sparkling gems, did he think she would believe whatever he threw her way? But she was also aware that some of the books in the royal's possession were indeed valuable as they spoke of the world and entities beyond what one could see before his or her eyes.
"Can't I do the service from standing here?" she asked meekly.
Eros opened his eyes and raised a brow at her. "Are you suggesting your arm can reach all the way over here to fan me?"
