Chapter 51: The Offering

Good Hill High School was known for its lush greenery and serene ambiance. Located on the outskirts of the city, it was the perfect place for students to focus on their studies and find peace in the surrounding nature. But there was something eerie that lurked within the school premises, something that nobody ever talked about.

A few years ago, a delinquent student had stolen an offering from the Buddha statue near the shrine. The statue was revered by the school authorities and students alike, and the offering was considered sacred. Nobody knew who had stolen it, but it was rumored that the delinquent had been cursed by the statue.

The delinquent, a boy named Toda, had been known for his rebellious nature and lack of respect for authority. But after he stole the offering, he began to change. Every day, no matter what he ate, he would vomit it out. He grew thin and unhealthy, and his skin turned pale. His once rebellious nature was replaced by a sense of fear and paranoia.

Toda tried to seek help, but nobody believed him. The students and teachers dismissed his claims as an attempt to get attention. As days passed, Toda's condition worsened, and he grew weaker and weaker. One day, he collapsed in the school corridor, lifeless.

After Toda's death, strange things started happening in the school. Students reported hearing strange noises at night, and some even claimed to have seen Toda's ghost wandering the corridors. The school authorities decided to investigate and discovered that the Buddha statue had been vandalized.

The curse had been lifted from Toda's soul, but the school had been tainted with a dark energy that refused to leave. It is said that even to this day, the ghost of Toda haunts the halls of Good Hill High School, warning students not to repeat his mistake and to respect the sacred offerings of the Buddha statue.
