"The Moon & Her Dark Half" - Here on Webnovel!

--------------------------

Just like the seasons pass along the wheel of time, how the whole world never stops moving. Everything in a never ending cycle, the gods good and bad, devils and demons in their hells or abyssal layers.

Mortals that never stop walking forward, such is the way of life - beautiful when preserved and protected, nature is an epitome of all living beings. Although chaos and demons seek to destroy all life, there exist those that wish to preserve it instead.

The cosmos bring forth endless expansion, reflected through the many different planes that exist on the sidelines, reflecting parts of each plane inside their own. Darkness and Light, cannot exist without one another. The natural order must always be preserved.

But sometimes those that try to change things appear from the shadows, spreading chaos and corruption endlessly!

The Symbol of the rising dawn, The Dawnkeepers are here to remind you that as long as one fights, there will always be another sun rising pon the horizon. That is worth fighting for!

Vacaz walked toward the stone laid tomb like he had does every day at the same time. He waters the plants and trims the gardens surrounding it, before ultimately sitting down in prayer.

But today was different, today there was an unease in the air something evil had found the holy burial ground. Vacaz felt it enter when he was praying, he quickly reared around and clicked the button on his short staff which made it extend into a quarterstaff.

His white hair perfectly kept in place by pins when he turned around, he called upon all his innate magic as he stared at the evil that had entered. His long pointy ears could tell there was something else rustling in the wind but he couldn't place a finger on what it was.

The entity that slowly came walking through the gardens made them wither ever so slightly, the magical presence in this burial ground was too powerful for the corruption and rot to spread.

Two long horns that stretched far backwards starting from the forehead. It almost looked like two huge dragon horns a bit oversized for the humanoid creature, but no, this was no simple humanoid creature.

It walked on bent legs almost like that of a lizardfolk, long clawed fingers, a smile which revealed a huge row of needle like teeth with no skin or lips covering them. No nose or eyes on the reddish like skin. Armor made out of bones covering its body.

A large skull marked book hover right next to the creature that seemed to be forever smiling. "Oh how long it has taken me to find this place, the burial place of my old nemesis!" The entity spoke and the words made Vacaz flinch.

There was only one entity that would call his lord a nemesis, The Eternal Eclipse, The Unchained Eclipse, The Darkest Chaos Prince. Still Vacaz held his ground, The Eclipse's soul had been shattered into thousands of pieces eons ago, this couldn't be more than a fragment otherwise the power from it would be so much more.

"Begone fould Demon! Remove your putrid stench from this holy site!" Vacaz angrily yelled at it. Mustering all the courage he could, he was no more than a mid tier cleric of his falled lord, but he would stand his ground nonetheless.

"Brave, but foolish!" The Eclipse spoke and clutched his hands together. His neverending grin grew ever wider as Vacaz was suddenly ragdolled up into the air and sent flying into the tombstone with ease.

Vacaz felt his bones crack from the collision and felt blood running from his nose as he started coughing he slowly stumbled back onto his feet while shaking from the pain. "S-stay B-back! I won't let you defile this place!" Vacaz remained adamant about his duty, knowing he would probably die here.

"A shame, I was feeling merciful enough to let you live if you just walked away!" The demon said and started laughing and started taking several steps forward while holding out his hand, an ethereal broadsword made out of magic started appearing in his hand.

The demon got about halfway before a wall of energy suddenly was sent out like a shockwave from the large stone tomb. He struggled and took several more steps before a second more powerful shockwave was sent out.

Vacaz saw everything happen and thought it strange that he was unaffected by the shockwaves. But he heard the rumbling from the tomb, suddenly the shockwaves started coming out in rapid succession, pushing the demon back several feet as he struggled to stay on the ground.

Vacaz realized it almost sounded like a heartbeat as he stared at the tomb in disbelief as cracks started appearing all over the stone. The cracks quickly spread into the ground as the tomb slowly collapsed into the ground.

The stones of the collapsed tomb was suddenly sent skyrocketing into the air as a bright white pillar came out of the ground and met with the sky. The moon that was currently enjoying the dark half was suddenly lit up in white once more, the red and blue moons could also be seen from the sudden light reflecting upon it.

The demon roared out a scream of rage as a figure enveloped by white light slowly walked out off the pillar and touched upon the grass. The humanoid figure looked at his hands and arms before inspecting the world around him. The demon was left in a paralyzed from the great aura coming from this being.

"So you have returned!" The Eclipse growled and Vacaz felt tears running down his face, "Lord Arx, Bright God!" He exclaimed and quickly knelt in front of his god.

Arx quickly offered his hand to Vacaz who took it after staring at it for a few moments. "I do not want those whom follow me to kneel, I want them to stand by my side!" Arx voice sounded hoarse and rasp but there was still a tinge of heavenly aura coating it.

Vacaz nodded but of course couldn't help but keep his head low, he still stood in the presence of his god after all. Arx sighed when he saw his old nemesis. "I had hoped to never see you again, Vod Kimus!" He spoke with annoyance and small white threads of light started travelling around the gardens.

Repairing every flower that was wiltering or dying. "AND I WAS HOPING THAT YOU WERE GONE!" The Eclipse shouted as the white threads slowly started surrounding him. He laughed, "But I guess we must simply repeat history!" The Eclipse spoke as his body started disintegrating from the power of Arx.

The threads in one fell swoop destroyed the fragment of the demon whom shattered into hundreds of small pieces. When the demon was finally gone Arx finally collapsed to the ground, Vacaz quickly grabbed his lord and held him.

Arx lay on the ground breathing heavily as the white light that enveloped him disappeared, revealing his human form. "Did you defeat the Eclipse?" Vacaz asked blindly, he had not paid much attention to the two talking.

"For now!" Arx gave him a smile, his white glowing hair the only thing that made him stand out from a regular human. His body was quite weak and small, "But the Eclipse will be back, and it will take me years to regain my former self." Arx sighed.

"I will call upon all remaining guardians and followers!" Vacaz said as he fumbled to get out a small horn. "When I am back to my former strength, we will hunt chaos!" Arx said and looked towards a nearby apple tree and smiled.

Vacaz tried to see what he was looking at but he only saw an apple tree. "Take care, child of mana!" Arx said before falling into a deep slumber. Vacaz took a deep breath before sounding the horn that let out only a small burst, he sounded the horn three times total.

----

Samuel quickly woke up with coldsweat, was that really a dream, the god had looked right at him where he stood, underneath the apple tree. He had seen it all like it was a dream that was so unbelievably alive.

He panted as he felt his heart relaxing once again. Child of mana, he had spoken to him... there was no way in the eleven hells that it wasn't more than just a dream. "Samuel, Samuel, Saaaaaam!" He finally heard Night's voice after she said his name several times.

"Stop spacing out!" She came walking as a small dragon and sat on his bed in front of him. "Oh yeah, why don't you take a look at my latest dream and tell me otherwise!" He replied quietly amid heavy breathing.

"Ew, I don't want to see why you woke up in the middle of the night all sweaty because of a dream!" The tiny dragon scoffed and snarled at him until he flicked his finger at her head. "Ow! Fiiiine!" She grumpily started swearing to herself before syncing in with his memories.

After a minute she came back and sat with her jaw dropped for a few seconds before pretending she had never done it and cleared her throat. "Okay, I'd rather take the hot sexy dreams thank you!" She sighed. She had been hoping to find a kinky dream in the first place.

"You do realize I can hear your thoughts right now!" Samuel spoke and shook his head at the horny dragon that started drooling as she was spacing out. "Why were you calling my name anyway?" He said after a minute of silence had gone by.

It seemed to snap her out of her thoughts and she cleared her throat again before speaking, "I scared some pricks that were trying to vandalize shit. They ran away with soaked pants. They were a mixture of first and second years!" She proudly started strutting back and forth on his bed.

Samuel smiled and proudly scratched her head. Which she started humming even more proudly too, "So will they come back you think?" He asked and she shook her head, "Will you be able to remember them?" He asked and she nodded.

But she stopped to think, "But since you have heightened senses now, like smell and hearing and eyesight, can you not recognize their smell from my memory alone?" She asked and it actually made him stop up. "Thats a fair point, we'll just haveto see if I can do that!" He admitted.

"Well, you know the deal, just wake up if anyone returns and is too stubborn!" Samuel yawned as he started feeling quite tired once again. He lay back down on the bed and started relaxing until he fell asleep again.

This time he slept through the rest of the night and woke up into the morning, since Night had not woken him up it seems like the time had passed peacefully. He found Night sleeping soundly on top of him looking quite pleased with herself.

Please leave some honest reviews that say what you think is good and what could be better! English is not an expertise of mine when it comes to super advanced grammar, but it is an ever evolving trait.

Worldbuilding is great btw, so don't hesitate to go read my friends novel as well: "The Moon & Her Dark Side"
