Matthew called someone, and we heard a knock. Matthew opened the door to Skylar’s dad and Nixon. We sat down in the living room.

/"Matthew said you had a terrible experience. We’re here to help you,/" Nixon told me.

I started crying. Nixon comforted me. For once, I didn’t feel alone.

I watched Nixon comfort Nora. My uncle is many things, but with people needing help, he’s unbeatable. He spent hours with me after Sadie’s death, talking to me.

Nora stopped crying, then discussed what happened and her dad. The girl lived through hell when she wanted love. She didn’t get love from a parent.

/"You have a classic case of PTSD, which most people have when they suffer trauma,/" Dr. Shaw said.

/"Is that why I saw my dad instead of Steven?/" Nora asked.
