Silent Night: a Christmas Chapter

Christmastime arrived as everyone got ready for Christmas. With the craziness behind us, it was time to enjoy ourselves. I figure Conner needed good tidings and joy.

I knocked on Kain’s door.

Conner answered it and gave me a strange look. /"What are you wearing?/"

/"A Santa hat with mistletoe since everyone needs Christmas cheer and love./"

Conner chuckled as I stepped inside.

Kain stopped decorating his tree and stared at me. /"Christ./"

/"Our Lord and Savior, you heathen,/" I told Kain.

Kain rolled his eyes as Conner lost it. Since I must visit family on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I’m dragging Conner with me. Right now, I want to spend time with him without family interference.

/"Are you up for all things Christmas?/"

/"I used to hate Christmas./"

Kain stopped and glanced at us.
