Result Of The Written Ezam

Zeralf continued with the exam calmly and another question he recently answered was the one that asked what the first three ranks were from the bottom of the Deva hierarchy and what was the estimated difference in power between a new Quartz rank Deva and an ordinary mortal.

'' A Quartz rank Deva usually has his overall physical stat to be about five times that of an ordinary mortal but together with his Dharma and Zajra, he can supersede that, moreover, the difference in level of existence is extremely vast. One is mortal while the other is a Deva, a different existence entirely. Again, this difference in power only applies to a Quartz rank deva of the same race as the ordinary mortal. As for the ranks, there are Quartz rank, Marble rank and above that is the Pearl rank on the Deva hierarchy ''

Zeralf continued with the questions and after an hour or so, he submitted after cross checking to make sure he didn't do any mistakes.

'' I mixed up the keywords for the last question. '' He squinted his eyes as he got transferred back to where they first assembled at the front of the building.

There, he saw only Kitasha who looked to be lost in her thoughts.

Zeralf wasn't surprised that there was only one person outside, the written exam had a hundred essay questions and since they were using telepathy, the exam duration was two hours, most participants would fail due to the short time because despite being telepathy, the duration was still short.

Not long after, the bellow of Endra pulled their attention towards his cheeky figure.

'' Ah…when did they arrive? '' Kitasha thought inwardly not knowing that Zeralf had been here earlier than Endra but he only chose to be silent and stayed some distance away.

Before they could chitchat, Kitasha picked up the pace and walked ahead, she was not going to make them think that she was waiting for them for the second time and embarrass herself.

'' White haired, how was the exam…haha, I cleared everything, I'm sure the examiners would be amazed by my answers hehe. '' Endra ranted and his eyes twinkled as he let his fantasy run wild out of excitement.

'' Here he goes with the boasting. '' Zeralf inwardly said and started walking away too.

'' Umm, he's becoming more tolerant of others huh? '' Endra too hastened his steps to catch up with Zeralf whilst immerse in his thought. '' To think he would wait for someone, even though, it was as brief as a passing wind. '' Endra gazed at the back view of Zeralf with a full grin.

Because they finished quickly, no one was on the path they walked to their house which would've made the whole walk back home a quiet one but thanks to that one talkative, he kept bringing up random topics that no one cared to reply to.

When they got back home, Zeralf straight away went back to his room to have a nap, the exam might be easy, but weeks and weeks of preparation were still mentally draining and he still had another one ahead of him.

Endra being a culinary connoisseur, went to the kitchen not forgetting to grab an apron before he entered.

'' Five hundred Ezarr. '' Endra counted with widened eyes and red cheeks. '' I'm living with rich people hehe, to think she would carry such amounts on her. '' He facepalmed trying as much as he could, not to laugh but a cracky giggle still escaped from his nostrils.

A MONTH LATER

Today was the eve of the combat exam and the tension on every planet that was hosting exams was nearing the threshold. If anxiety could destroy, these planets would've long been pulverised to smithereens.

Not only was there the combat exam to worry about, but the results for the written and special exams would also be released and some participants' fates would be decided.

Somewhere on a planet that was hosting the EDF exam in the Western Cluster, some examiners gathered in a well lit spacious conference room. They were ten in number and they sat on white office chairs while surrounding a white oval table as they discussed.

Each of the examiners had different expressions but the most obvious was the amazement that their eyes held.

'' Not only did she have a perfect score in the written exam, but she also has a perfect score in the alchemy exam too. '' The examiner who was overseeing the conference enthused. '' The only person to have had such a score was the goddess of alchemy herself and to think another person now hit the same score. '' His heart palpitated when he made the last statement.

His face was that of someone in his mid-twenties and he had a bald head that revealed his brown scalp and a pair of dark spectacles which hid his eyes. He was also wearing the green and brown uniform that the examiners wore although his was a bit baggy.

'' Well, let's not get overly excited about the rise of a potential goddess of alchemy, even with this outstanding performance, she still has a long way to go. '' The man shushed all of them present in the room who had gone gaga over the mention of the goddess of alchemy in a stern tone while readjusting his spectacles that kept falling to his nose bridge.

'' This batch is interesting hmm. '' He rested his chin on his two hands that were locked together as he watched his juniors do the results statistics before releasing it. '' I also heard that someone in the Central Cluster has a perfect score on the written exam, hopefully, they'll make it to the last part of the exam. ''

The meeting continued and so were the murmurs, the hologram display before each person was constantly flickering as a humongous amount of information entered and left at unfathomable speed.

13:00 Standard Time.

'' Buzz ''

Zeralf and Endra checked the bracelet communication device on their wrist at the same time and they both inhaled while making eyes contacts before opening the message that just entered. Even though they knew they did well, they still couldn't shrug off that slight feeling of anxiety.

A blue black hologram appeared before each person and both finally get to see their scores that were eyeing them.

Zeralf got 99% in the written exam and since he didn't take any of the special exams, it was left blank.

Endra on the other hand got 95% and the special exams box was also left blank.

'' Haha, what did I say, this King is a fucking genius. '' Endra screamed while jumping towards Zeralf's position to hug him but the latter dodged him without giving it a thought.

'' Has Genzo infected him? '' Zeralf smirked inwardly. '' At least he knows the right word. ''

'' White haired what did you get? '' Endra still in his excited state asked while pushing himself up from the ground and he waited for his response with anticipation.

'' 99% '' Zeralf answered in a hushed tone, one could barely see his lips move as he talked.

'' Damn, that's crazy. '' Endra had his eyes almost popping out. '' You're such a genius haha, just you wait, and the EDF shall know of our divine arrival. '' He made funny heroic poses as he talked and Zeralf had to hmph to such a comical scene.

'' If he's a genius then what am I? ''

The duos turned their heads in the direction of the voice and they saw Kitasha's figure at the door. She had a smug look and her shoulder was tilted backward with her chest protruding forward, she held her waist with her right hand and her left hand was pointing at Zeralf and Endra. A hologram display was visible to them and on it was a striking 100%

'' Oh my, monster!!! '' Endra facepalmed, even Zeralf's eyebrows twitched when he saw her perfect score.

'' Um,'' Zeralf murmured and looked away while busying himself with the communication device.

'' Humph, someone is not happy, you had better be ready for the combat exam. '' Kitasha glared at Zeralf. If there was one thing that made her day, it was the fact that she got higher than Zeralf although it's just a point margin, that was enough reason for her to come to the place of the person who annoyed her by smashing her score on his face, too bad he didn't score low either.

'' Don't get ahead of yourself princess. '' Endra laughed cheekily. '' Anyways, guys this calls for celebration, off to go prepare something. '' Endra dashed to the kitchen not waiting for their response and he grabbed his apron leaving only Kitasha and Zeralf in a super awkward atmosphere.

'' I just want to shower you with my grace, that's why I'm sitting. '' Kitasha explained to no one in particular and she sat at the edge adjacent to Zeralf.

It wasn't even that long when saliva-inducing aroma reached their noses and Kitasha's eyes subconsciously turned puppy.

'' Ehem. '' She coughed and readjusted her bearing when she saw Endra coming in with large trays in both hands.

'' Here we go! '' Endra dropped the tray and passed a set of dishes to everyone.

Kitasha was a bit hesitant and she waited until Zeralf unusually had the first bite of the seasoned barbecued chicken.

'' jus.. ea.. alwedy..'' Endra muttered in between bites and some of the food chunks fell back into the plate.

'' Such an uncivil manner. '' Kitasha muttered disapprovingly before succumbing to the hunger that had started growing in her tummy.

'' Uumm.'' Kitasha closed her eyes and inhaled a long breath, her cheeks had more colour and when she opened her sapphire eyes, they were slightly glowing.

'' Amazing. '' She had to praise the food even if these fellas were annoying, well not that Endra annoyed her directly, to begin with.

'' Haha, of course, I used twenty herbs and spices to marinate the chicken for three days with my Dharma, I was preparing this for when they released our results today. '' Endra responded smugly as he boasted of his skills.

'' You even use Dharma in cooking? '' Kitasha was sincerely intrigued when she heard this.

'' Right, who said Dharma can only be used in combat, fantastic, isn't it? '' He grinned and revealed his teeth which were covered in food stains.

'' It is. '' She nodded thrice and glanced at Zeralf.

Both had long forgotten Zeralf who was on one side enjoying the delicacy too quietly since he didn't tag along with their conversations.

Tomorrow, the D-Day would arrive soon and they must perform as outstanding as they could.
