They say marriage is one of the greatest joys you’ll experience in life, but what does it say about your marriage when you can’t remember a single moment with the man you married? Veronica experiences the strangest thing one day when she wakes up in a hospital room without any memory of how she got there. She is introduced to her family who appear warm and loving at first but she soon gets a glimpse of how they want to use her for her money. Veronica is then surprised when a man enters the room and it is revealed he is not only her husband but a big hotshot businessman whose face is all over the news. Chapter 71
"I am not shy, you are. With your chest exposed and all," Veronica muttered. "I should have just gone to sleep before you came."
"You should have," Liam agreed with Veronica. "Because now I get to be entertained before I go to bed. What are you wearing that has you wrapped up so much? It is not cold here."
"The nighties are just too short," Veronica decided to be honest. "I saw some of your clothes already moved back to the closet so if you were looking for a shirt to wear to bed, you can get one now. Or not," she added after Liam laid down on the bed.
"Stop overthinking it and go to sleep," Liam said, knowing she had to be in her head about this. "This is very different from the first time we slept together and I mean just sleeping. I think I was the nervous one while you were teasing me."
"I did?" Veronica asked, surprised to hear this. "That's surprising. I would have bet you to be the one enjoying it the most. What were you nervous about?"
