What's dormant in the sea Part 2

Time skip

Karito Pov

As I slowly regained consciousness, I felt something wet splashing on my face. Sand squished beneath me as I tried to get up. With blurry vision, I blinked a few times to clear my sight. Where the heck am I? I stumbled my way through the foliage, pushing aside leaves like a drunken person, until I reached an open area. And what do I see? A massive power plant in the distance. Seriously, is that the only thing around here?

I squinted at a random sign nearby, trying to make sense of this bizarre situation. Turns out, I'm on some uranium mine slash nuclear plant island. Great, just great. How the hell did I end up here? Wasn't I supposed to be underwater, drowning? This is some messed-up prank or something. And wait a minute... is it him? No way, it can't be, right? But those damn tentacles... it's hard to deny the evidence.

"The Dark entity has made his appearance behind you. He was able to stay undetected even while this close. He's extremely dangerous... be careful, Player."

(???) "Hello, Spider-Man."

A shiver ran down my spine as my eyes fell upon him. The sight before me confirmed my suspicions beyond a shadow of a doubt. There he stood, in all his ominous glory, Doctor Octopus. The very embodiment of my fears materialized before my eyes. A mix of apprehension and curiosity filled the air as I slowly turned around to face him.

(Dark Doctor Octopus) "Did you like the ride?"

(Spider-Man) "Hell yeah, it was suffocating." Clenches his fist

(Dark Doctor Octopus) "I have to give you some credit, Spider. You were able to kill Vulture, he was quite strong but he wasn't the brightest in the bunch."

(Spider-Man) "Oh yeah? You think you can do better?"

(Dark Doctor Octopus) "Oh, I know so. You struggled so much with such a weakling and you can't even comprehend my greatness."

(Spider-man) "Cocky as always you piece of shit."

(Dark Doctor Octopus) "Not cocky when I'm the smartest man on this planet."

In a split second, my instincts kicked in as a metallic tentacle emerged from the ground, lunging towards me. With nimble reflexes, I managed to evade the attack, executing a flawless backflip in mid-air. Seizing the opportunity, I swiftly propelled myself towards Doctor Octopus by shooting a web line, delivering a powerful kick to his face. However, his resilience proved formidable as he swiftly retaliated, ensnaring all four of my limbs with his menacing tentacles. The excruciating pain coursed through my body as he stretched and contorted my limbs, threatening to tear me apart. It became clear that this version of Doctor Octopus possessed enhanced speed and strength, akin to Magneto's formidable powers, though not as overpowering. Determined to turn the tide, I unleashed my venom, pushing him back momentarily. Yet, to my astonishment, he swiftly regained his composure, standing tall with an unsettling laughter echoing through the air.

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) "<b >Wow, Vulture lost to this?" Laughs "<b >I was testing you just now and I'll admit, you hit hard but not hard enough." Smiles and lifts his hand "<b >Now this is power boy. Watch carefully."

The ominous words left his lips, and in an awe-inspiring display, metals from every corner of the island converged towards him, coalescing into four colossal metallic appendages. My heart sank as I beheld the monstrous tentacles, realizing the gravity of the situation. How could I possibly contend with such a formidable foe?

Amidst my inner turmoil, my spider sense jolted me with a forewarning, alerting me to an imminent attack. However, my distress impeded my reflexes, rendering me tragically slow to respond. Before I could evade the incoming strike, Doctor Octopus closed the distance between us, delivering a devastating blow with one of his enhanced tentacles. The sheer force of the impact sent me hurtling through the air, my body crashing forcefully into the unforgiving structure of the nearby nuclear plant.

I hit the ground hard, clutching my chest in agony and letting out a cry of pain. That guy packs a serious punch, way stronger than Vulture. I can't afford to take too many hits like that, it's excruciating.

My spider sense tingled, warning me of imminent danger. Reacting swiftly, I leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding a massive tentacle that would have buried me alive. I landed on top of it, using my venom punch to shatter it into pieces. Running along its length, I made my way to the next tentacle, repeating the process and destroying it too.

Taking a calculated leap, I free-fell towards the ground, preparing for my next move. Another tentacle came hurtling towards me, but with a quick lateral repulsion, I dodged to the side, causing it to slam into the mountain, creating a gaping hole. Using my web-shooter, I swung onto the top of the tentacle and delivered another venom-infused punch, obliterating it.

Feeling a sense of accomplishment, I turned around, only to be caught off guard by the final giant tentacle. It struck me with incredible force, sending me hurtling into the mountain, crashing into the very hole that I had created moments ago.

As I hit the ground, a deep grunt escapes my lips. The pain is searing through my body, and my vision is blurred. These Darks are relentless and insanely powerful. It's utter madness. If I were an ordinary Spider-Man, I'd be dead by now. But I have to thank my endurance for keeping me in the fight. Still, I've taken too much damage. I need to finish off that last tentacle and confront that monstrous villain.

Slowly, I rise to my feet, the ache in my body intensifying with each movement. I fix my gaze on the colossal tentacle barreling towards me. Thinking quickly, I shoot a web towards the top of the nearby mountain and yank myself into the air. The tentacle slams into the ground, missing me by inches, but embedding itself in the mountain.

A surge of danger triggers my spider sense, and I swiftly react, shooting a web to the side and evading another tentacle that attempts to ensnare me by burrowing through the mountain. It continues its relentless pursuit, but I navigate through acrobatics and expert use of my webs, deftly maneuvering until I reach the mountaintop.

Once there, I employ my accelerated decoy technique, luring the tentacle to attack the holographic clone. Seizing the opportunity, I launch a web at the tentacle and swiftly mount it. Channeling my power, I unleash a powerful venom-infused punch, creating a tremendous explosion that obliterates the final colossal side tentacle.

I land gracefully on the ground, executing a superhero landing, and survey my surroundings for Doctor Octopus, but he is nowhere to be seen. As I continue scanning the area, an alarm blares, echoing across the entire island. The booming announcement follows, "Power Plant is set to self-destruct in 10 minutes. All personnel evacuate immediately."

My mind races in disbelief and frustration. How could this be happening? That maniac has triggered the self-destruct sequence. The urgency grips me, and a torrent of curses escape my lips. I have no time to waste—I need to put an end to this madness, and I need to do it immediately.

With a surge of determination, I sprint towards the nuclear plant, my legs carrying me as fast as they can. I reach the control room, my heart pounding in my chest. And there, standing before me, is Doctor Octopus, a man consumed by his own deranged laughter.

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) "<b >It's too late Spider-man, you are going to die here!" Evil laugh

(Spider-Man) "FUCK YOU!"

With lightning-quick reflexes, I unleash a barrage of web shots, each one finding its mark on Doctor Octopus' chest. He grunts, momentarily stunned by the impact. His menacing metallic tentacles swing towards me, but I anticipate their trajectory and gracefully evade their grasp.

Seizing the opportunity, I channel my lateral repulsion skill, propelling myself towards the villain with remarkable speed. I collide with him, driving him forcefully against the unyielding wall. Blow after blow, I strike him with precision and force, my fists connecting with satisfying impact. But his resilience surprises me as he slips away, narrowly evading my assault.

The next moment is a blur of motion. Before I can react, a tentacle strikes my chest with a powerful front kick, knocking the wind out of me and sending me reeling backward. I struggle to regain my balance, but before I can recover, another tentacle lashes out, striking me across the face and ensnaring me tightly.

My head grinds mercilessly against the unforgiving wall, pain coursing through me as I emit a desperate cry.

As the relentless assault continues, Doctor Octopus seizes the opportunity to unleash a devastating counterattack. With a swift motion, he employs one of his formidable tentacles to seize my feet, forcefully slamming me repeatedly into the unyielding floor. The impact reverberates through my body, each strike leaving cracks in the surface beneath me.

Summoning every ounce of resilience within me, I summon my Venom Blast skill, channeling an electric surge of energy into a concentrated sphere in the palm of my hand. With precise aim and unwavering determination, I unleash the charged sphere, propelling it towards Doctor Octopus with unwavering accuracy. The sphere collides with his stomach, sending him hurtling backward, crashing into the computer console. The resulting explosion echoes through the room, engulfing it in a dense cloud of smoke.

In the midst of the chaos, I seize the opportunity to catch my breath, the temporary respite providing a brief moment of reprieve. As the smoke begins to dissipate, my heightened senses detect the subtle movement in the air. Instinctively, I tilt my head to the side, narrowly avoiding the path of a menacing metal tentacle that whisks past my head.

Seizing the moment, I seize the tentacle, using its own momentum to draw Doctor Octopus closer to me. With calculated precision, I deliver a powerful punch straight to his nose, shattering bone and eliciting a pained cry from the villain. In a desperate attempt to free himself, he waves his hand downward with remarkable force, intending to break free from my grip and retaliate with renewed vigor.

(Spider-Man) "....Of fu-"

Without hesitation, I swiftly generate a web shield, fortifying myself for the impending impact. Suddenly, an overwhelming deluge of metal cascades down upon me, exerting an incredible downward force that propels me into a tumultuous descent.

The sheer power behind the assault forces me to plummet through the layers of the Nuclear plant, crashing through each floor with an unsettling force. The structural integrity of the plant is no match for the destructive momentum, as I become a human projectile hurtling through the seemingly endless depths of the facility. The cacophony of destruction and the chaos of the environment blur into a maelstrom of chaos around me.

As I collided with the lower floors of the Nuclear plant, an agonizing cry escaped my lips, echoing through the crumbling corridors. The impact jolted my body with searing pain, sending shockwaves through every fiber of my being. Amidst the chaos and the debris, a voice pierced through the tumultuous atmosphere. Kara's voice, resonating with concern and urgency

"Player I had to buy you 2 full potions, leaving you about 40% of your HP. I recommend not taking that amount of damage again. Please, be careful."

(Spider-Man) "No SHIT! AUGH!"

With a calculated display of agility and precision, I gracefully evaded Doctor Octopus' incoming assault, narrowly avoiding the destructive force that threatened to shatter my already battered form. As I swiftly rolled to the side, I seamlessly transitioned into a counterattack.

Harnessing the power of my lateral repulsion, I propelled myself towards the nefarious doctor, my knee connecting with his face in a resounding strike. The impact reverberated through the room, a testament to the force behind my blow. In one fluid motion, I executed a gravity-defying front-flip, seizing the opportunity to assert my dominance.

Seizing Doctor Octopus' coat in my grip, a tangible embodiment of my determination, I unleashed a display of sheer strength. With a commanding force, I hurled him across the room, his body colliding with the unforgiving wall. As he recoiled in pain, I skillfully employed my web-slinging abilities, securing him in a web-based prison against the unyielding surface.

His enraged screams echoed through the room, I stood tall, a symbol of resilience and unwavering resolve. The threads of my web entangled him, rendering him powerless in the face of my strategic prowess.

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) "<b >Damn you, Spider! I WILL KILL YOU!"

(Spider-Man) "Not on my watch....asshole."

In a relentless display of ferocity, I closed the distance between myself and Doctor Octopus, unleashing a barrage of calculated strikes upon his vulnerable form. Each blow landed with a resounding impact, reverberating through the air . The resolute force of my attacks left him reeling, his anguished cries intermingling with the sight of crimson spilling forth from his wounds.

With unwavering precision, I adorned his body with an intricate tapestry of bruises and lacerations. The symphony of his suffering echoed through the room, as the weight of my blows exacted a toll upon his once-imposing figure. Yet, even in the midst of my relentless onslaught, the tenacious doctor fought back with an unyielding spirit.

Suddenly, his tentacles writhed free from their web-bound confines, poised to retaliate against my assault. In a moment of disorientation, one of the metallic appendages found its mark, delivering a jarring blow to my jaw that briefly dulled my senses. Swiftly regaining my composure, I evaded the subsequent onslaught, my agility allowing me to deftly evade the calculated strikes.

Utilizing my invisibility skill, I vanished from sight, leaving Doctor Octopus to flail blindly in his frenzied assault. Each of his strikes, a futile attempt to reclaim control, met only with empty air as I danced nimbly beyond his reach. Seizing the opportune moment, I unleashed a devastating flying kick, connecting with his face and propelling him forcefully to the ground.

Standing triumphant amidst the wreckage, I regarded my fallen adversary with a steely resolve. His eyes blazed with a mixture of fury and defeat. Yet, in that moment, victory was mine

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) "Y<b >ou...bastard...you aren't normal...all Spider-Men Guardians aren't this....strong." Coughs "<b >How is this even possible? I...I lost...no..."

(Spider-Man) "Fucking deal with it. I beat you"

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) "<b >NO!!!"

A surge of ominous energy coursed through Doctor Octopus, empowering him with an unholy might. His eyes glowed with an eerie luminosity as he forcefully repelled me, sending me stumbling backward.

With a thunderous roar, he unleashed his tentacles, the very extensions of his malevolent power, now imbued with heightened speed and ferocity. Their movements were a blur, defying the limits of human perception. In a desperate bid to evade their relentless advance, I danced with agility, my reflexes pushed to their limits.

However, despite my best efforts, I could not evade every strike. The tentacles found their mark, striking my face with bone-shattering force. A resounding crack echoed through the air.

The impact of the metallic tentacle against my cheek was brutal, causing blood to spew from my mouth. I tumbled across the floor, my body crashing into the wall with a resounding thud. In that moment, I felt a surge of pain coursing through me, but I refused to let it weaken my resolve.

With determination in my eyes, I rose to my feet, facing the Dark Doctor Octopus once again. As he attempted to unleash his imitation of Magneto's powers, I swiftly countered with my own lateral repulsion skill. Seizing the opportunity, I grabbed his face with an iron grip and forcefully slammed it against the wall, leaving behind a sizable crack.

Magnetism was blocked

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) In shock "W<b >HAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?! YOU HAVE ABILITIES OF A DARK?!"

(Spider-Man) "No, bitch." Uppercuts him below the jaw

As I sent him crashing to the floor above, the Dark Doctor Octopus quickly regained his footing and launched a relentless assault with his tentacles. Yet, his attacks proved futile as I deftly evaded each strike, capitalizing on his every miss with a flurry of well-placed punches.

Undeterred, the villain resorted to climbing the walls, employing a hit-and-run strategy. But I was prepared. With seamless agility, I executed wall runs, effortlessly dodging his attacks while delivering precise hooks and uppercuts to his face. The battle intensified as we ascended to the upper floors, neither of us relenting in our assaults.

In a moment of his advantage, Doctor Octopus landed a powerful blow to my chest, forcing me down the wall. But I swiftly recovered, using his own momentum against him as I grasped his tentacle and pulled him toward me. With a surge of venom-infused strength, I unleashed a devastating punch directly to his stomach, propelling him through the air and crashing him into the control room's ceiling.

Taking advantage of his disoriented state, I delivered a swift sidekick as he descended, sending him tumbling across the floor. He clutched his stomach in pain, his expression reflecting the toll of our intense battle.

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) Coughs repeatedly "<b >Th...This can't be...You...me?...Losing? This is insanity! I THE GREAT DOCTOR OCTOPUS LOSE?! I HAVE KILLED MULTIPLE SPIDER-MEN IN THE MULTIVERSE! HOW AM I GOING TO LOSE TO YOU?! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

(Spider-Man) "Oh please, you're going to cry now? Cry me a river."

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) Ragefull screams

With a final act of desperation, Doctor Octopus pressed a button on the remaining fragments of the monitor and donned a mysterious helmet. Bewilderment washed over me as I struggled to comprehend the significance of his actions. However, my heightened spider senses warned me of imminent danger, though the specifics eluded me.

In an instant, a large stun grenade descended from above, detonating in close proximity to my face. The blinding flash and deafening explosion disoriented my senses, leaving me disoriented and struggling to maintain my balance. The dizziness overwhelmed me, making even simple movements a Herculean task.

Before I could regain my bearings, I felt an onslaught of metallic tentacles constricting my body with an unyielding grip. The crushing pressure intensified, causing excruciating pain to radiate through every fiber of my being. As the tentacles tightened their hold, sharp spikes emerged from their surface, piercing my flesh and inflicting agonizing wounds. My bones strained against their limits, my muscles pushed to the brink, as I found myself teetering on the precipice of being crushed to death.

(<b >Dark Doctor Octopus) "<b >HAHAHAHA! You going to die now Spider!" Delighted "<b >This is how I killed another Spider-Man Guardian...slowly. So let me tell you how it feels to be crushed to death. My titanium steel tentacles would instantly reduce your entire body to a sort of reddish stain on them. Your vital functions would cease immediately and any nerve would be damaged to the point that any "transmission" to the disintegrated brain would be just impossible. So, the passage from life to death is even more immediate than a decapitation. So have you learned anything Spider?" Puts a hand behind his ear and all he could hear were screams of agony "<b >I guess not. HAHAHAHA! NOW DIE!"

The relentless tentacles continued to exert their unyielding pressure, squeezing me with an unrelenting force that brought me to the precipice of unconsciousness. Waves of excruciating pain coursed through my body, causing my consciousness to flicker and fade. Images from my past flickered before my eyes, fleeting fragments of memories and experiences that merged with the torment I endured.

As the unbearable agony pushed me to the brink, my senses teetered on the edge of darkness, only to be abruptly jolted back to awareness by the searing pain that enveloped me. I existed in a disorienting cycle of fading consciousness and agonizing awakening, trapped in a relentless battle between oblivion and excruciating torment.

...

WAKE UP KARITO YOU HAVE PEOPLE WAITING FOR YOU! SO DON'T YOU DARE DIE!

...

(Spider-Man) GASP " AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

With a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins, my emotions ran wild, a volatile mix of determination, anger, and fear. Summoning every ounce of strength within me, I exerted a powerful force, shattering the formidable plating of the tentacles that threatened to crush and squeeze the life out of me. In that moment, all that mattered was bringing an end to this harrowing ordeal.

A furious scream escaped my lips as I locked eyes with Doctor Octopus, a reflection of my unwavering resolve. Activating my retractable stingers, two gleaming, razor-sharp blades emerged from my wrists. Without hesitation, I propelled myself toward the villain, his terrified screams mingling with my own determined battle cry. In a swift and decisive motion, I plunged my stingers into his face and stomach, puncturing his flesh with a lethal precision.

As I stood there, adrenaline still coursing through my veins, I controlled my rapid breaths, restoring a semblance of composure. I carefully withdrew my stingers from the lifeless body, watching as crimson droplets fell to the ground. With meticulous care, I cleaned my weapons, focusing on the task at hand. Yet, my respite was short-lived, shattered by an alarming sound that sent my heart racing and plunged me into a state of anxiety.

(Broadcast) "T-minus 1 minute..."

In the throes of my escalating panic, a deluge of profanities erupted from my lips, a desperate attempt to give voice to the rising dread within me. With wild eyes scanning the chaotic surroundings, I frantically sought a control console that could offer a glimmer of hope in this dire situation. But alas, as my gaze fell upon it, a cruel revelation washed over me—the console lay shattered and ravaged by the violent clash that had unfolded. A torrent of self-directed curses escaped me, an anguished lament for my oversight and the dwindling options before me.

In the face of this setback, my mind raced against the dwindling seconds, searching for a way to avert the impending catastrophe. A surge of frantic thoughts and calculations coursed through my mind, weaving a tapestry of possibilities in the midst of chaos.

(Broadcast) "T-Minus 30 seconds."

With time rapidly slipping through my fingers, a sense of desperate resolve surged within me. Embracing the audacity of the moment, I cast aside all hesitation and made a fateful decision. "Fuck it," I muttered under my breath, fully aware that there was no time for caution or second-guessing. Drawing upon an inner wellspring of determination, I seized hold of a nearby steel door, my makeshift lifeline in this race against impending doom.

Without a moment's hesitation, I propelled myself into the void, hurtling downwards through what seemed like an endless abyss of floors. Each passing level blurred into a dizzying blur as the gravity of the situation hung heavy in the air. Finally, as I neared the final floor, a surge of urgency gripped me. Frantically scanning my surroundings, I sought a viable spot to execute my desperate plan. However, to my dismay, no suitable option presented itself, leaving me teetering on the precipice of desperation.

Driven by sheer instinct and a will to survive, I unleashed a barrage of furious punches upon the unyielding floor beneath me. Each strike reverberated through my battered hands, a symphony of desperation and determination echoing in the dwindling moments.

Captain America Pov

In response to an enigmatic anomaly, intelligence had come to the attention of myself and a select team of operatives. Reports indicated the emergence of an uncharted island, a mysterious landmass that had seemingly materialized within the depths of the vast Atlantic Ocean. The very nature of its appearance suggested a peculiar phenomenon, an inexplicable teleportation of sorts, accompanied by alarmingly high levels of radiation reminiscent of a clandestine nuclear detonation.

To assess the situation and delve into the unknown, the esteemed organization of S.H.I.E.L.D. dispatched a cadre of skilled agents, myself included, to investigate this enigma. Clad in specialized radiation suits, a protective shield against potential extraterrestrial influences, we embarked on our mission with a sense of anticipation and caution.

Boarding the formidable Quinjet, a marvel of cutting-edge technology, we soared through the skies towards our elusive destination. The air crackled with a mix of intrigue and trepidation as we traversed vast expanses of ocean, en route to an uncharted island shrouded in mystery. Our collective resolve remained unwavering, bracing ourselves for the unknown and the unexpected that awaited us on this uncharted frontier.

(Black Widow) "Now we got Islands that can teleport out of thin air?"

(Captain America) "This world keeps getting stranger and stranger."

(Black Widow) "I know right..."

(Captain America) "Are you worried about him?"

(Black Widow) "He hasn't been picking. Everyone tried but it was like he disappeared."

(Captain America) "We have been searching for him for 2 months. I have NEVER, stopped looking for him."

(Black Widow) "He...He can't be dead... Right?"

(Captain America) "We tried to track his phone but we didn't find it anywhere... I don't wanna lose hope but..."

(Black Widow) "No, I'm not going to give up on Karito. Do you have any idea how much he's done for us?"

(Captain America) "That's why I haven't given up. Because he's an important friend to all of us."

(Black Widow) "Life wouldn't be fun without him... He's a clown..."

(Captain America) "He is, he drives me crazy with his pranks."

(Black Widow) "But they're funny, you have to admit. Even tho sometimes you wanna smash his face with a table."

(Captain America) Laughs "That's true. I'm glad I meet him, he's a very good friend."

(Black Widow) "His cooking is the best."

(Captain America) "He also cooks for you?"

(Black Widow) "When I want him to. Even tho I don't tell him to he still does so, not that I'll complain."

(Captain America) "Yeah, he's very respectful. He wants people to smile or laugh."

(Black Widow) "I like that about him. He's funny, sweet, and respectful."

(Captain America) "Yeah..."

Then an awkward silence fills the both of us and I hear Natasha sniff.

(Captain America) "Tissue?"

(Black Widow) "Y-yeah..." Grabs it "Thanks..."

As the pilot's voice resonated through the intercom, its urgent tone compelling us to brace ourselves and adorn the protective garb of radiation suits, our team swiftly complied. In an orchestrated symphony of efficiency, we transformed into a united front of preparedness, each agent meticulously donning the specialized attire that shielded us from the potentially hazardous environment that awaited us.

With our safeguards in place, the Quinjet touched down upon the enigmatic island, its metallic frame gently settling onto the uncharted terrain. Stepping out onto the unfamiliar ground, a wave of astonishment rippled through the team, momentarily rendering us speechless. Our eyes widened in awe and incredulity as we beheld the destroyed landscape that unfolded before us.

(Agent) "Why does it look like a bomb exploded not so long ago?"

(Captain America) "This is strange. It's like that time in New York where everything was normal and then bodies randomly teleported in the streets."

(Black Widow) "Do you think they're related?"

(Captain America) "I think so..."

(Agent) "SIR I SEE SOMEONE EXITING THE FIRE OVER THERE!"

I look in the direction the Agent was pointing and my jaw just dropped.

(Captain America) "Oh...My...God..." In shock

(Black Widow) "K-Karito...?" Tears up

(Agent) "What the hell happened to him?" Afraid

My heart pounded in my chest as we sprinted towards Karito, a mix of concern and confusion gripping my every thought. The sight that greeted us was a jarring contrast to the resilient comrade we knew. Karito, usually cheerful and unyielding, now stood before us, his face contorted with a seething anger that emanated from deep within. I couldn't comprehend what had transpired to bring him to such a state. His suit, once a symbol of strength and protection, now lay in tatters, stained with the telltale signs of a fierce battle.

With each step closer, I felt a surge of apprehension mingling with my genuine worry. What had happened to him? What had he endured to bear such physical and emotional scars? These questions weighed heavily upon me, demanding answers that seemed elusive in the face of this enigma.

(Captain America) "Karito?! What in the world happened to you?!"

(Black Widow) "Karito please say something! What happened here?!"

(Spider-Man) Angry "Nothing..."

(Black Widow) "W-What?" Scared

(Captain America) "H-Huh?"

(Spider-Man) "Nothing happened...at all..."

The weight of silence enveloped us as we stood in utter disbelief, watching Karito's retreating figure with a mix of concern and confusion etched upon our faces. It was as if an invisible barrier had erected itself around him, shielding him from our attempts to reach out and understand the depths of his pain.

In subdued resignation, we made our way back to the Quinjet, the heavy silence lingering in the air, a palpable reminder of the unspoken questions that gnawed at our thoughts. As we settled into our seats, the sound of the engines thrumming served as a somber backdrop to our collective contemplation.

Karito's presence within the confined space of the Quinjet felt both haunting and profound. His stoic demeanor, arms crossed tightly against his chest, mirrored the fortress he had erected around his innermost self. It was evident that his wounds extended far beyond the physical realm, and the invisible battle raging within him remained veiled from our prying eyes.

Natasha, ever composed and skilled in her craft, took on the task of attending to Karito's injuries. Her expertise, honed through years of combat and resilience, guided her every movement as she delicately worked to staunch the bleeding and provide the necessary care. Yet, even her deft touch could not penetrate the emotional fortress Karito had erected.

We yearned to offer solace, to breach the walls that surrounded him and share in his burden, but our attempts were met with a resolute silence. The questions, the worries, the genuine care we held for our comrade simmered beneath the surface, desperate for an outlet. But Karito remained steadfast, his thoughts and emotions concealed behind a stoic facade.

(Black Widow) "Umm...Karito?"

(Spider-Man) "..."

(Captain America) "Just leave him be Natasha."

(Black Widow) "What was that island?"

Did she just ignore me? Wait, Karito is looking at Natasha. Is he finally going to say something?

(Spider-Man) "That...is...What's dormant in the sea..."

(Natasha) "W-what do you mean by that?"

(Spider-Man) "..."

Karito Pov

Honestly, I'm not really feeling up to doing anything right now. Even talking to my friends seems like a chore. All I want is to crawl into a real bed instead of that cramped hole I dug myself into. Can you believe I was buried there for a whole two months? Talk about a major bummer. I can only imagine what a disaster my room must be right now. Probably all dusty and filled with expired food. Ugh, I guess I'll have to go grocery shopping and clean up the mess. And let's not forget about fixing up my suit. It's seen better days after my underground adventure. Who knows how many damn torches I used down there. My place must've looked like a freaking Minecraft mine. Oh, and I should probably check my notifications. I always forget about that stuff.

(Level 5/100) Accelerated Vision: Karito's visual acuity is considerably beyond that of a normal human. He can see objects at much greater distances, with perfect clarity, relative to an ordinary human. He also possesses this same level of clarity at night, enabling him to see in near-complete darkness. He may be able to see into the infra-red end of the electromagnetic spectrum, enabling him to see a person's body heat. The flicker-fusion horizon (the speed at which some objects appear as a blur) in his eyes is superior to other people. What appears as a blur to most people, he can see perfectly. It also acts as a type of early warning, not the degree of a spider sense but he can see attacks coming from far away. His vision also gives him the ability to see energy waves.

The acquisition of Accelerated Vision proves to be a most intriguing development. Its potential applications appear to be manifold, particularly in encounters with formidable adversaries possessing extraordinary speed, such as the enigmatic Quicksilver. The myriad advantages bestowed by this newfound ability are undeniable, rendering it a veritable boon in my ongoing quest to maintain an edge in combat. Its precise utility and optimal timing augur well for future engagements, affording me an enhanced capacity to navigate the intricacies of battle with utmost finesse and efficacy. Truly, this skill is an invaluable asset that promises to yield countless benefits in my endeavors.

(Level 49/100) Superhuman Speed: Possesses the proportionate speed of a spider, therefore he can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.

(Level 48/100) Superhuman Stamina: Players' advanced musculature produces fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods before fatigue begins to impair him. Karito can physically exert himself for several hours in his best condition before the build-up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.

(Level 42/100)Superhuman Durability: Player's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is also more resistant to impact forces than most humans.

(Level 47/100) Superhuman Equilibrium: Possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He can adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.

Wall-Crawling: Can cling to any surface using just his fingertips and feet.

(Level 50/100) Spider-Sense: When danger is present, The Player feels a buzzing sensation in his head as a sort of early warning system, allowing him to react accordingly. His spider-sense offers him near-complete awareness of his surroundings, and in conjunction with his reflexes, allows him to instinctively dodge or counter nearly all attacks. His spider-sense seems to be greatly enhanced compared to that of the original Spider-Man. For example, being able to see visions of the future before it even happens.

(Level 50/100) Venom Blasts: Can generate and manipulate a form of bio-electricity that his body produces, and can utilize the energy for multiple purposes. These energy projections vary in power and can affect the nervous system in humans and destroy technology. Depending on the intensity of the Venom Blast, some opponents can be simply dazed, while others can be completely incapacitated. It's also more effective on people with genetic alterations.

(Level 28/100) Mega Venom Blast: Able to emit a larger scale burst of bio-electricity from his entire body. It is powerful enough to repel a large group of opponents and destroy thick ropes and chains. This ability will leave Karito exhausted after using it and can be triggered by extreme stress.

(Level 45/100) Venom Beam: Player can channel his bio-electricity outward as a direct burst of electrostatic energy to knock away enemies in a stunning/concussive manner.

(Level 45/100) Venom Punch: Player can enhance the power of his punches by infusing his fists with bio-electricity.

(Level 44/100) Energy-Thread Generation: Player can produce threads of bio-electricity from his hands. Said spinnerets carry the same tensile prehensility of his web fluid, allowing him to swing from place to place or yank and flail around his opponents. He can also send a debilitating electric shock which disrupts their nervous systems as his Venom Blasts do.

(Level 46/100)Lateral Repulsion: By projecting a controlled Venom Blast, The Player can launch himself in the air with greater force than when jumping or web-swinging.

Spider-Camouflage: The Player, including his clothing, can blend into his surroundings, allowing him to sneak up on his enemies or, in some cases, flee from them. The effect closely resembles that of invisibility.

Accelerated Decoy: This allows The Player to move so fast that he can leave behind a body double for enemies to attack.

Detoxification: If Karito is poisoned, this buff automatically purges the said poison from his body.

(Level 15/100) Retractable Stingers: From both of his wrists, Karito is able to produce a pronounced stinger about the length of a standard sword. It is very sharp and durable, able to cleanly and effortlessly slice through solid metal.

(Level 26/100) Mark Of Kaine: Karito can channel energy endothermically through his hands and leave a severe burn mark on a person by making skin-to-skin contact with them.

(Level 50/100) Regenerative Healing Factor: Can regenerate his injuries much faster than normal humans can.

(Level 50/100) Karate: (Japanese: "empty hand") unarmed martial-arts discipline employing kicking, striking, and defensive blocking with arms and legs. Emphasis is on concentrating as much of the body's power as possible at the point and instant of impact. There are four main styles of karate in Japan: Shotokan, Goju-Ryu, Shito-Ryu, and Wado-Ryu.

(Level 50/100) Way Of The Spider: The Way of the Spider is a martial arts style developed by Spider-Man and Shang-Chi as a way for Spider-Man to compensate for the loss of his Spider-Sense. Peter Parker (Original Spider-Man) combined his bullying experiences, his superhuman capabilities, concepts from Fighting Form, and his training from Shang-Chi to create it. He also increased his skill with it using his now returned Spider-Sense. He also combined his mastery of acrobatics into the Way of the Spider. He uses this fighting style to counter all types of combatants and it complements his.

(Level 60/100) Hacker: This skill enables The Player to hack any kind of technology. The higher skill the more things The Player can hack.

???????????: ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Man, my healing factor got a serious boost during that fight. Makes sense though, considering I wasn't exactly in top shape and didn't waste any gold coins on healing. Good thing too, 'cause I healed up faster than expected, especially with those nasty infections. Gotta love that quick recovery. And you know what? All that hacking and programming I did for Tony actually paid off. Saved my butt when it came to blocking that monster's skill. Who would've thought my hacking skills could extend to messing with people's abilities? Talk about versatile! I should definitely level up that hacking ability ASAP, 'cause I know more powerful Darks are coming, and they'll probably throw Spider-Man-themed villains at me. And if they get really desperate, they might even mix it up with other villains. Gotta stay ready for whatever they throw my way.

What's also weird is that my "Dungeon" are now "Missions". What's the deal with that?

"The Darks are spreading to other universes and the other Guardians are failing. As the villains said, you seem to be different from the others. We still don't know what makes you special but the gods are getting desperate and are changing the dungeon system into Missions to other universes. As far as I know, you are the only one with this update."

Are you serious? I'm the ONLY Guardian with this system because I seem to be "Special"? What kind of bullshit is this? Why not send the other Guardians?

"They don't have the ability you have. Which is to counter the Dark's debuffs and block their own skills."

There's no way that there isn't ONE other person in an entire multiverse or omniverse to be able to block a Dark's power.

"Shockingly so, yes. You are the only one, sure there are characters who can steal, seal or weaken an enemy's power. But not a Dark's."

That's just bullshit.

"It's hard to believe, I know."

This is so annoying... Anyways I should be getting ready. We are about to land in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.

"Yes, Player."

As Kara and I concluded our conversation, we prepared for landing. Stepping off the aircraft, we made our way towards the bridge, where the sight of my condition left everyone astounded. It was at that moment that Nick Fury materialized before us, his presence commanding attention.

(Nick Fury) "Mother fucker, what in the hell happened to you?"

(Spider-Man) "Well, I fought a Villain called Doctor Octopus and the fight ended up leveling an entire island and I survived by God's miracle. Now I'm gonna leave and sleep for a week."

(Captain America) "Hold on, Karito! Slow down!"

(Spider-Man) "Here's a recording of what happened, and see how shitty of a time I had."

(Black Widow) " Wait, Karito!"

I briskly departed from the bridge, my footsteps echoing with determination. Captain America, Nick Fury, and Black Widow trailed behind, their attempts to halt my progression or soothe my agitated state evident in their earnest gestures and concerned expressions.

(Nick Fury) "Kid, I need you to calm down. I know you're angry but slow down."

(Black Widow) "Karito, please just rest here."

(Captain America) "Please friend, take a rest."

Undeterred by their presence, I pressed forward, my strides purposeful and resolute. With every step, I drew closer to the precipice of the Helicarrier, where the gusts of wind embraced me, lending an exhilarating sensation to the gravity of the moment. My gaze descended, peering into the depths below.

(Spider-Man) "What city is this?"

(Nick Fury) "Staten Island...why?"

(Black Widow) "Wait Karito y-"

(Spider-Man) "See ya!" Jumps off the Helicarrier

(Nick Fury) "Did he just jump off 30,000 feet without a parachute?"

(Captain America) "Yup...he did."

(Black Widow) "Well, I'll check him out later. Worrying about him is stressing me out... I haven't seen him like this since he locked himself for a week last year."

(Captin America) "Let's just give him space. He'll come by, he always does."

As I gracefully descended through the open air, I skillfully deployed a pair of web parachutes, gently arresting my fall and allowing me to maintain control over my descent. With the cityscape sprawling beneath me, I swung through the urban landscape, effortlessly navigating the streets and skyscrapers until I reached the familiar confines of my apartment.

Exercising caution, I activated my invisibility, blending seamlessly into the surroundings as I slipped into my modest studio. In the solace of my sanctuary, I shed the weight of my Spider-Man suit, carefully stowing it away within my inventory. Sinking into the comfort of my bed, I reclined and directed my gaze towards the ceiling, my thoughts drifting amidst a sense of tranquility that had long eluded me. At last, I could surrender myself to the embrace of restful slumber, allowing fatigue to relinquish its grip on my weary form. There would be time for apologies and reconciliation in due course, but for now, the priority was embracing the respite I so deserved.

The Age Of Ultron starts next...
