Repay Evil With Evil

(Marvel, DC, images, manhuas, and every anime that will be mentioned and used in this story are not mine. They all belong to their respective owners. The main character "Karito Josue Valdez" and the story are mine)

High above the cityscape, a lone figure gracefully navigated through the urban terrain, swinging from one building to another with a deliberate purpose. His vigilant eyes scanned the surroundings, as if meticulously selecting specific vantage points across the city. With a sense of calculated precision, he placed enigmatic devices – resembling explosives – at strategic intervals within an empty alleyway. Once satisfied with his intricate setup, he seamlessly resumed his aerial web-swinging.

Amidst his elaborate preparations, he remained engaged in an ongoing conversation taking place in LycoReco. Kurumi was diligently assisting him in identifying suitable locations for his traps, while Mizuki was engrossed in discussion with the diminutive hacker. Adjusting his earpiece, he signaled Kurumi to connect him to the ongoing conversation, seeking to seamlessly integrate himself into the group exchange.

(Spider-Man) "Kurumi, did you say you could track him with academic papers?"

(Kurumi) From coms "It would be hard to do clinical trials for artificial hearts of that kind, yeah?"

(Mizuki) From coms "Well, putting it in only to have it fail would be a big deal."

(Kurumi) "So Alan Institute gave them an opportunity to illicitly experiment with it."

(Mizuki) "I see. Since Lycoris don't have family registries, they're perfect for the job."

(Kurumi) "There has to be something that sparked Alan to discover the researchers."

In an unexpected turn of events, Chisato swung open Kurumi's closet door, causing both Mizuki and Kurumi to jump in surprise, their hearts racing from the sudden intrusion.

(Chisato) "Kurumi."

(Kurumi) "HA! SHIT!"

Kurumi and Mizuki tried to cover the screen but it was painfully obvious what they were doing.

(Kurumi) "Squeak... Squeak..."

(Mizuki) "This, uh... perverted guy, and..."

(Chisato) "I guess I should put an end to it after all."

(Kurumi) "Actually... this isn't for you, Chisato."

(Chisato) "It isn't?"

(Spider-Man) From coms "It was me who requested it."

(Chisato) "Didn't you say you had something else to fix me with?"

(Spider-Man) "I did. I was just curious about how this artificial heart worked, y'know? It might be of use to me one day in a different situation, hell I might even make it as good as an actual heart."

(Chisato) "So you want to know about it in case you might need it?"

(Spider-Man) "Exactly."

(Chisato) "Oh, that's ok I guess. Anyways, LycoReco will be closing down."

(Mizuki) "Eh?"

(Kurumi) "Eh?"

(Spider-Man) "Damn I almost lasted a year..."

...

...

Karito completed his citywide preparations and swiftly landed in front of LycoReco, making his way into the café. Inside, he found Mizuki, Chisato, and Kurumi seated, engaged in conversation, while Mika was in the kitchen, attentively listening to their exchange.

(Chisato) "I feel bad taking so much time away from everyone for my sake. And this place has to be a fun place until the very end!"

(Karito) "Though, It's mostly me putting everyone to work here..."

(Chisato) "Welcome back, honey~."

(Karito) "Bold are we now?"

(Chisato) "Hehehe."

(Kurumi) "Are you okay with that, though?"

(Chisato) "I was planning to do so, to begin with. This has been running longer than I had expected, too. Right, Mizuki?"

Mizuki shifted awkwardly, glancing at Mika, whose gaze was directed at Chisato, the latter wearing a smug expression.

(Chisato) Suddenly stands up "Now, everyone follow Takina's footsteps, and return to the paths you came from!"

(Karito) Eyes widen

(Chisato) "Hey, you! Mizuki, where will you go?"

(Mizuki) "Eh?! I-I guess I'll go meet that hunk in Vancouver that I met on a dating website..."

(Chisato) "Wow! Let me see." Takes a peek into Mizuki's phone "Woah, he's ripped." Looks to the side "Karito aren't you as ripped as him?"

(Karito) Looks "Nah I'm more ripped."

(Chisato & Mizuki) "Really?!"

(Karito) "Didn't ya'll see me almost shirtless when I was beaten up not so while ago?"

(Mizuki) "Well, we were more worried if anything."

(Karito) "Well yeah. It was the first time ya'll have seen me that messed up so understandable."

(Mizuki) "You can take your shirt off right n-"

(Chisato) "ANYWAYS! And you, Kurumi?"

(Kurumi) "In this country, my life is in danger without you or Karito."

(Mizuki) "DA is after you, too."

(Kurumi) "I'm going to leave this country."

(Chisato) "Then you should go to Germany!"

(Karito) "Germany?"

(Kurumi) "Hm? Why?"

(Mizuki) "More board games?"

(Chisato) "Yeah! The best place for them! They have big competitions there too."

(Kurumi) "Then you should come with me. I can make a ticket for you and stuff."

(Chisato) "Oh, that's an option. But Teach will get lonely, so I can't!"

Kurumi glanced sidelong at Karito, but he remained silent, understanding the meaning behind that look. He hesitated to address the unspoken topic.

(Chisato) "Do invite Takina someday, though."

(Kurumi) "...Yeah."

(Chisato) "Karito, what about you?" Tilts her head

All eyes were fixed on Karito, a mixture of apprehension in their gazes, each aware of the weight of his situation. Only Chisato's countenance seemed untouched by the unease circulating the room, her innocence shielding her from the hidden turmoil.

For Karito, the only course was to maintain a facade, his expression carefully neutral as he addressed her question.

(Karito) "Well, after I'm done putting the villains behind bars I'll most likely go to Hawaii or Puerto Rico..."

(Chisato) "...Why are you lying to me?"

(Karito) "..."

The tension in the room suddenly gets heavier.

(Chisato) "I feel like everyone here knows what's going on except for me. Why is everyone looking at you like you're about to die soon?"

(Karito) "..."

(Chisato) "Wait... you're joking... right?"

(Karito) "...It's on the realm of possibility..."

(Chisato) "N-No... W-Why?! DO YOU HAVE A DISEASE?! WHAT IS IT, KARITO!"

(Karito) "... There's... a war coming... and I'm the only one who can stop it..."

(Chisato) "BULLSHIT! IF A WAR IS COMING JUST CALL THE POLICE! THE ARMY! A-ANYTHING! EVEN ME! WE CAN-"

(Karito) "No, you can't."

(Chisato) "Huh?"

(Karito) "Everyone in Japan, except DA, and you guys are already possessed by a symbiote... there is no backup... and I'm the only one strong enough to defeat... everyone."

Chisato's world fell. She didn't want to believe what he was saying. Everyone is an enemy? What kind of absurdity is that? Is this why he was with such an attitude recently? Because he was anxiously preparing himself for war... a war that will only consist of one boy versus an entire symbiotic country? That's impossible...

Her head starts to explode with questions...

Why doesn't he leave?

Why doesn't he run away?

Why him?

Why not leave for some other country?

He's joking, right?

Why does he have to fight alone?

Why doesn't he ask for help from other superheroes like him?

Didn't he say that he was in a superhero team?

(Chisato) "B-But Karito... didn't you say you were in a team? The Avengers, right? They are g-gonna help y-you, r-right?"

(Karito) "The enemies I'm facing need a specific requirement to be defeated..."

(Chisato) "A-And that is?"

(Karito) "They need to be a Guardian."

(Chisato) "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Impatient

(Karito) "Long story short... is a group of people who protect the verses of fiction. They protect it from beings such as Darks, who are conquering these verses for power..."

A heavy silence hung in the air as Karito's words settled in. The group was left momentarily stunned, grappling with the seeming absurdity of his statement. The perplexity etched on their faces was evident, yet a shared decision to humor the situation prevailed.

(Chisato) "T-Then...why don't you call them for help?"

(Karito) "Because I recently found out... that I'm the only one of my kind... I'm the last remaining Guardian in all of fiction..." Turns around "Believe me or not, that's up for you to decide but for when this war starts, I'm taking you all to a safe place until I'm done... and if I fail... well... I'll send you somewhere... safe." Starts leaving

With that puzzling declaration, Karito exited the café, leaving a room full of bewildered expressions in his wake. The intricate explanation he had provided seemed like an enigma, leaving everyone inside grappling with a concept that felt entirely foreign. It was as if he spoke from a different realm, with terminology and ideas that held little connection to their world. His words resonated like those of an outsider, a being dropped into their reality with knowledge beyond their comprehension.

His discourse painted him as someone possessing insights into fictional realms, a perspective so alien to their everyday understanding. Who could fathom the notion of a real-world individual knowing intimate details about their lives, treating their existence as mere entertainment for some higher power? These concepts were reserved for characters who toyed with the fourth wall, not for the inhabitants of their own tales. The idea that Karito, once a part of the real world, now dwelled within their fictional domain, seeking a taste of heroism, was a mental labyrinth they couldn't traverse.

In truth, they may never grasp the extent of his unique background, for such revelations were poised to shatter the very fabric of their understanding.

Location, DA Headquarters

Inside the Lycoris headquarters, a gathering of its members had convened for a concise briefing about the imminent mission, one that aimed to neutralize the formidable menace led by Majima and his cohort of villains.

Despite Karito's consistent and fervent pleas against it, his counsel had fallen on deaf ears. The Lycoris remained resolute in their belief that they could confront and conquer this threat, confident in their understanding of their own vulnerabilities. Their pride and self-assurance, it seemed, had blinded them to the potential consequences.

Unbeknownst to them, their meticulous strategizing and meticulous planning were destined to meet a futile end. A bittersweet truth, as Karito foresaw that he would exploit their endeavors, using their valiant efforts as a diversionary tactic. In the realm of warfare, where victory often hinges on calculated choices, even the cruelest tactics find their place.

However, amidst this intricate dance of strategy, there remained a singular concern that gnawed at Karito's conscience. Amid the assembled members was Takina, a vital piece in this grand scheme, yet also a fragile figure whose safety lingered as a paramount worry.

(Miki) "Starting with the weapons deal in April, the Metro assault, Lycoris attempted murders, the police station assault... The mastermind behind all of these cases is this man named Majima.

They displayed an aged photograph of Majima, as the lack of current information prevented them from showcasing his significant upgrades. Following the completion of Kusunoki's assistant's presentation, the commander took the reins and continued.

(Kusunoki) "He's a globetrotting warmonger. He was confirmed to be in our country ten years ago as well, in the Radio Tower incident where Spider-Man and now confirmed supervillain, Scorpion fought. I had thought all of them had been executed because Spider-Man had caught all of them and we apprehended them." Shows an Image of Spider-Man fighting the terrorist and Scorpion at the same time

(Sakura) Mumbles towards Fuki "Even when he was a little boy he still was insanely strong. And he still uses the same costume since then. Though he has two different ones now."

(Kusunoki) "Majima has received requests from several mafia groups domestically and internationally. He's after Enkuboku."

(Miki) "We captured one of the clients, and identified the location where Majima is in hiding."

(Kusunoki) "We will attack with full force."

All the Lycoris who are present in the debriefing stood up.

(Kusunoki) "Find him, and kill him."

Unknown location

In a dim, light-absorbing void, Majima lingered, his anticipation palpable. His patient vigil was rewarded as the true Venom materialized before him, emerging through a portal that defied the boundaries of realities. Towering over the herculean-sized Majima, Venom exuded a commanding presence, his voice resonating with an aura of unsettling dread.

(Dark Venom) "Time is almost up Majima, are all the preparations for this conquest ready to go?"

(Dark Majima) "Yes, my lord. We've been carefully examining the Guardian and he seems to be just as prepared for us. It is unfortunate that we couldn't see what he's planning due to his hacking skill but we will not eliminate him without containing any sort of precaution."

Suddenly another portal was opened and Shinji entered into their conversation.

(Dark Shinji) "My lord, it is good to see you. I came here to brief you about the full symbiotic conquering of Japan. 99% of the population was been turned to our side, the only remaining force is LilyBell and DA who the Guardian was personally protecting for some reason."

(Dark Venom) "It's because one of the important characters of the anime had returned back to DA so out of desperation the Guardian protected her. It seems that he was going to use them as some sort of bait but because she's now involved the plan had changed. At least that's what I and the others think. But do not let your guard down because this Guardian is being smarter about this war than he had been in his previous fights."

(Dark Majima) "He's also the type to continuously get stronger in each fight. The accelerated adaptation might not be as good as other fictional characters but it's also not something to scoff at. He's... really dangerous and he won't care about casualties in this fight... at least if they're not important to him."

(Dark Venom) "Use any means necessary to beat him. Kidnapping his friends and his bitch would make it a lot harder for him."

(Dark Majima) "That's what I had in mind, my lord."

(Dark Venom) "Good, now prepare for war. It's about to start soon. I want this finished by the afternoon."

Outside LycoReco, Mika and Chisato stood by a waiting taxi, loading bags into its trunk. With purpose, Chisato approached the back door, where the window was rolled down. Kurumi and Mizuki occupied the back seat, prepared for departure as per Karito's instructions.

(Chisato) "You can head to the airport this time without hiding inside a suitcase."

Chisato noticed that Kurumi had a sad expression on her so she decides to gently pinch her cheek.

(Chisato) "What's wrong? You're ruining your cute face." Lets go of Kurumi's cheek

(Kurumi) "I'm just... worried for Karito." Looks at a case given by the man himself

(Chisato) "O-Oh... That's understandable, really... I get anxiety attacks if I think about it too much..."

(Kurumi) "Changing topic... Thanks for taking care of me."

(Chisato) "What's this? This isn't like you." Teases "You fare well too, Mizuki." Goes for a fist pump

(Mizuki) "Yeah!" Pumps it "I'm sure that Karito will make everything right in the end... just believe in him."

(Mika) "I hope so..."

(Mizuki) "Take care of Mika as well, okay? Our old man is pretty ancient, you know?"

(Chisato) "Yeah, yeah." Giggles

With their discussions concluded, Mizuki smoothly raised the windows and then instructed the taxi driver to head towards the airport. Responding promptly, the taxi driver guided the vehicle away from LycoReco and onto the road.

(Chisato) "Well, I guess we should start cleaning up, Teach." Walks inside

Meanwhile... Kurumi and Mizuki

An uncomfortable silence enveloped them. Despite Chisato's invitation for them to leave and enjoy themselves, Karito had seized the opportunity to impose his will, insisting that they left and heed his words. They attempted to present counterarguments, but Karito remained resolute, unwilling to yield, and they eventually conceded. The atmosphere between them was tense and uneasy.

(Kurumi) "We can't do anything about it. This is what Karito and Chisato want."

(Mizuki) "I didn't say anything, did I?"

(Kurumi) "I just hope that when Karito tells me to use this device... it won't hurt him as well."

Karito Pov

It had to be done. Before the Taxi driver made it I made sure to "cleanse" him from the symbiote he had in him and alternate his memories. Now I don't have to worry about Kurumi and Mizuki who are going pretty far from here. I also did a few things at the airport just in case they try to kidnap them. They should arrive at their destination rather safely.

Sighs

I can feel it. I can feel danger EVERYWHERE. It's reached the point where I can't even sleep because my spider sense doesn't stop warning me of threats. I didn't think they would increase their army at such a rapid rate. How were they able to turn all of Japan into symbiotes? They might look normal from the outside but I can feel that parasitic liquid skewing around their bodies like some sort of infection. My anxiety and sanity are at their peak. I haven't felt this way since Kraven and I'm just reacting accordingly. This is dangerous... too dangerous for just one man but I can't just let these people die... I can't let this cast die. I grew fond of them and now I rather do my best than let them die. This is my curse and my burden. With great power, there must also come... great responsibility.

I pinch the bridge of my nose

The device I gave to Kurumi is the activation code for the Tinkerer's device. Whenever something happens to me or if it's time to activate it, I will send her a signal that will tell her to activate it. Once she does a huge shock wave will spread across all of Japan that will affect everyone who has a symbiote, forcefully separating the parasite, killing the symbiote in the process. Toxin will be put in my inventory so he could survive the impact, of course, I will receive the full force of a shockwave that's equivalent to a hydrogen bomb. Luckily it's just the shockwave, not the explosion itself because that would be a lot harder to survive than the nuclear bomb I received back in Civil War. I'll be half dead... If I'm lucky.

Now, in case something goes very wrong and one of them gets captured I put a secret weapon in all of their bags that are undetectable thanks to my hacking skill. I made a miniature rail gun for all of them or in this case a pistol version of a rail gun. The reason I choose to make them a Rail gun is because of the use of an extremely fast-moving all-metal sabot projectile that travels at 5-7 times the speed of sound. Its destructive energy is in the momentum - 1/2 MV^2. It's called a kinetic energy weapon. They weigh a few pounds but I was able to make them lighter, thanks to the system's shop, but also the velocity is 5 to 7 times higher giving it 25 to 49 times the kinetic energy. I made all necessary mods and modifications to decrease the dangers of "hands use" of the weapon due to its dangerous nature. What this is meant to do is once they've hit their target which in this case are symbiotes they will be set on fire and will also have a rather large circular hole on their body which can't be healed due to the flames the projectile will leave. Once again I was able to modify these effects, making the round stay inside of the target and burn them from the inside. Basically lighting them on fire from the inside and with the additional mod of shockwave, they will be a flaming sonic boom.

Gory? Yes. Will it kill a symbiote? Yes... and the user but they don't need to know that.

Now, I'm done with preparations. I made all of my gadgets in record time and I set up traps across the entire nation. For this war, the entire country is a battleground so I did accordingly. If my communication devices are rendered useless I can use my Telepathy skill to communicate with anyone no matter the distance, the skill is good enough to talk to people across dimensions so it will work like a charm.

When was the last time I slept? 4 days ago? For some reason, I don't feel tired at all, unlike last time... Well, I shouldn't compare sleep deprivation that's worth months to pulling all-nighters for 4 days. Anyways, the special suit that I made Toxin bond with is now 100% ready to use. Electro's dark electrokinesis shouldn't be able to affect me, that is if doesn't use it like a rope or a battling ram. If he uses it to electrify me it would be useless as it would feel like any other electricity for me, the only downfall is that it won't give me a power boost like Thor's electricity.

Now... what is Takina doing?

Prison section

No Pov

Inside a dimly lit cell, a man who once shared ties with Majima rested upon a less-than-ideal sleeping surface. His slumber, however, was abruptly shattered as a Lycoris in a blue uniform entered his line of sight, fixing him with a determined gaze from beyond the cell's confines.

(Takina) "Are you Majima's client?"

(Prisoner) Still resting "I already told you guys everything. His target is Enkuboku."

(Takina) "Were you the one who provided the weapons?"

(Prisoner) "That again? Even if we had a thousand guns, if we don't have enough soldiers, then it's meaningless."

(Takina) "Then was it Yoshimatsu?"

(Prisoner) "Yoshimatsu? Who's that?" Feigning ignorance and walks towards Takina "So this is a Lycoris. To think brats like this have been killing my buddies."

The captive man made a futile attempt to reach for Takina from within his cell, his grasp falling short. Swiftly, Takina seized his outstretched wrist and deftly twisted it, causing the man to drop to his knees. She continued her assertive response by pressing her foot onto his face, effectively subduing him further. With precision, she trained a gun directly at his head, firmly asserting her control over the situation.

(Takina) "I was fired once for killing too many people. I did like the life outside of here, so I don't mind getting fired again."

(Prisoner) Chuckles "You think a gun would kill me? Think again!"

Without warning, the captive transformed into a black symbiote, lunging menacingly toward Takina's leg. Reacting swiftly, the Lycoris deftly evaded the attack, simultaneously activating a concealed device behind the symbiote's position. Instantly, the contraption unleashed a cascade of webs, ensnaring the monstrous form and immobilizing it completely. Takina maintained her focused gaze on the ensnared creature before her and spoke a single word.

(Takina) "Shock..."

Simultaneously, the webs discharged a powerful surge of electricity, causing the symbiote to emit a tortured scream and writhe in agonizing convulsions from the overwhelming shock. The sensation was akin to being directly assaulted by a Guardian. In the midst of this torment, a realization began to dawn upon the symbiote.

(Prisoner) "Y-You had help from Spider-Man?!"

(Takina) "Yeah, he and I are very close. I noticed these new weapons inside my bag when I returned to my dorm. It was encased in some sort of box. Once I opened it, it revealed all sorts of gadgets and a gun but this gun... is a rail gun. Do you know what he told me it did? If I were to shoot you with it, it will pierce your hide and explode inside you, flames will spread across your body and finally, a flaming shockwave inside you will completely destroy you. You won't even be turned into minced meat but just ash that will be picked up by the wind." Pulls out the rail gun "Now, do you wanna test this rail gun or answer my questions?"

(Prisoner) "O-Okay! Y-You, win!"

(Takina) "What is going to happen in the war between you guys and Spider-man?"

(Prisoner) "Majima said that Electro and Vulture will be controlling the country's power supply, he will be able to render all communication devices useless for however time he wants and they will have access to anything on the planet thanks to Electro's power and Vulture's intelligence. Wolverine and Yoshimatu's assistant will be protecting the man himself, I don't know where. And finally, Majima has plans to do something with some sort of blonde girl I don't know what! I swear that's all I know!"

Takina gasped at this revelation and internally panicked. Out of anger, she electrocuted the man to the highest potency, knocking him out completely.

(Takina) "I need to tell this to Karito!" Runs out of the prison section of DA

Location, café LycoReco

The night was enveloped in silence, the absence of customers causing the café to remain shuttered. A notice, courteously drafted by Chisato herself, adorned the entrance: "With heartfelt gratitude for your continued support, we have temporarily closed our doors. Our sincere thanks for making LycoReco a part of your days. Management." Amid this tranquil atmosphere, the soft murmur of a television set, positioned on the kitchen counter, was the lone discernible sound.

(New's Anchor) "Construction of Enkuboku is finally wrapping up. With the competition ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, preparations are underway in that area surrounding the venue..." T.V gets turned off

In this stillness, it was Chisato who remained engrossed in the sound. Her focus, however, wasn't solely on the audio; her attention was shared with a collection of old photographs. These images showcased a younger version of herself, captured in moments of past joy while working at this very establishment. The images portrayed a radiant happiness that could easily uplift the spirits of anyone who beheld them.

(Chisato) "Hey, I was watching that."

(Mika) "Sheesh, we're supposed to be cleaning. Though I wished Karito also helped but he hasn't come out of the basement for the entire day."

(Chisato) Finds an old picture of her and Mika with a Shiba Inu in the frame "Hey, it's Riki! he was so cute."

(Mika) Chuckles

(Chisato) "..."

(Mika) "..."

(Chisato) "Hey, Teach. What are you going to do now?"

(Mika) "Depending on how things are tomorrow and if Karito allows me. I guess I'll head to the realtors tomorrow morning."

(Chisato) "I don't mean that. you could hire part-time workers to keep this café going."

(Mika) "That is if we live."

(Chisato) "Don't you believe in Karito?"

(Mika) "I do but he also told us that it will be an extremely hard thing to pull. So if anything, he also told us to prepare for the worst... because he might..."

(Chisato) "DON'T SAY IT!"

Promptly, the teacher silences himself, recognizing the sensitive nature of the subject. Any mention of it sends Chisato spiraling into an emotional turmoil that she finds difficult to manage. Her frustration stems from her inability to assist the man she deeply cares for, all due to some unseen requirement. An unspoken truth lingers between them—while she possesses the power to defeat lower-tier Darks, Karito has deliberately kept her unaware of this ability, his intention being to shield her from unnecessary dangers.

Time trickles by, and soon enough, Chisato finds herself stationed just outside LycoReco. The air is charged with her anticipation. Then, as if in response to her unspoken longing, Mika and Karito emerge from the café's confines, joining her on the threshold.

(Mika) "How long are you going to be there?"

(Chisato) "Oh, okay." Stands of from the bench

(Karito) "I'm going to close up now."

(Chisato) Grabs her bag "I have to properly bid farewell to this Café, too."

Chisato's gaze sweeps around her surroundings, a wave of nostalgia washing over her. She recollects the countless moments she has experienced within the walls of this café. From her earliest childhood memories to the present day, this establishment has been a witness to the various stages of her life. As the realization of its impending closure settles in, a bittersweet sentiment takes root within her heart. A decade's worth of memories are intertwined with this place, making bidding it farewell a mix of sorrow and tender affection. It's an emotional journey—saying goodbye to a space that has been her home for so long carries both sadness and a sense of warmth.

(Mika) Sits down "Don't overextend yourself."

(Chisato) Giggles "You see through it all, Teach. If Karito wasn't here I would've started feeling lonely..."

(Karito) "Should I brew some coffee? For old time's sake?"

(Chisato) Smiles "Please do!"

Karito heads to the kitchen with a purpose, his steps confident and deliberate. He reaches for a cup and fills it with cold water from the filter. With focused movements, he approaches the coffee maker, ensuring the water reservoir is adequately filled. The next step involves preparing the coffee filter itself, carefully shaping it into a cone-like form before placing it in the designated filter basket. Adjusting the grinder settings to his meticulous preference, he allows the brewing process to commence, patiently waiting as the aromatic coffee essence infuses the air.

After a few minutes, Karito senses that the brew is just right. With a practiced hand, he halts the process and gazes at the result—a steaming, inviting cup of coffee. Reflecting on the preferences of his clients, Chisato and Mika, he adds a touch of cream and a precise measure of sugar. The cups now artfully arranged, he presents them to his awaiting customers, who express their satisfaction with visible contentment.

(Chisato) "Thanks, Karito." Smiles

(Karito) "Your welcome, hamster."

(Mika) "Thank you, Karito."

(Karito) "No problem, Teach."

They all passed the time in the Café, remembering all the funny moments they had. Recalling the events of the past... for one last goodbye.

Location, Majima's Secret base

The operation to infiltrate Majima's secret base was underway. The Lycoris members moved with a purpose, their expressions set in determination and their actions focused. Every step was deliberate, every glance calculated, just as their training had prepared them for.

(Coms Team) "Bravo, green. Delta, green. Charlie, green."

Sakura, Fuki, and Takina entered the meeting room of the base, forcefully pushing the door open. However, to their surprise, the room was completely empty. The entire base appeared to have been thoroughly cleared out, devoid of any signs of life.

(Sakura) "Looks like he already got away."

(Fuki) Taps earpiece "Alpha one, all green."

Suddenly the projector inside the room was turned on by itself showing Majima staring down at the three girls from a TV screen.

(Dark Majima) Through the TV "Whoa! There sure are a lot of you. Is this like a school trip? Too bad that with all those numbers you all still wouldn't be able to touch us."

(Fuki) "Lower your weapons!"

Takina and Sakura complied with Fuki's instructions, quickly contacting the rest of the Lycoris to gather at their location. Within moments, the commander herself arrived in the room, her gaze meeting the faces of her team, all displaying shock and concern. As her eyes moved to the screen in the room, she understood the reason behind their distress.

(Kusunoki) "W-What the hell are you?!" In shock

(Dark Majima) "We are Venom."

The Herculean creature just laughs at their reaction and continues speaking.

(Dark Majima) "Oh, we have the chaperoning teacher here, too. I almost failed to recognize you."

(Kusunoki) "Don't be so cocky, monster. I'm the one commanding your death, Majima."

(Dark Majima) "I guess I don't need to introduce myself. And maybe I didn't hear you correctly but you were going to... what again?" Chuckles "That must be the most bullshit joke of the century."

(Kusunoki) "We know your weaknesses thanks to Spider-Man. But I fail to understand your reasoning to do this. What are you after? Money?"

(Dark Majima) "At the start of it all, yes it was for the money but... My life took such a huge turn that now I play such a different role. A role you can't even imagine. Do you think I'm the culprit for everything that's been going on? Miss, I'm sorry but all I am in this chest board is a pawn, every single threat here is a pawn. We are all low-level threats compared to the big boys that work in the cosmic, multiversal, extra-dimensional, transcendent, and boundless-sized organization that is known as Darkness. EVERYTHING IN LIFE became meaningless when I saw the truth of everything. I now pursue a higher call, literally."

Everyone present was left speechless at the absolutely incomprehensible words of the all-new Majima. He might as well speak gibberish for them, as they will never understand what he truly means by such words.

(Kusunoki) "What utter bullshit are you spouting!?"

(Dark Majima) "Sure, it might sound like nonsense to you fictional characters. But once you know the truth of everything you lose all sense of purpose but thanks to my higher ups they showed me a new way, a new life, a new meaning, and a purpose. I won't allow you to speak ill of my God as he's absolute, he has been across all realms of fiction! He knows EVERYTHING! He can do anything! He's so powerful that the author himself has to be cautious as he writes this story down because his mind will be infected as my God invades his body, like a "tumor". And you guys can't do absolutely shit about it because you can't even hurt us. The only hope for your world is but one person... Spider-Man. And he has to face the entirety of Japan ALL BY HIMSELF! IT'S JUST ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! HAHAHAHA!!"

Not a single thing was said by the opposing team. Nothing. All they could hear was nonsense and even more nonsense. But there is one thing they did understand, and that was Spider-Man, facing all of Japan by himself. Their one and only hope."

(Kusunoki) "And what does Spider-Man have to do with this?"

(Dark Majima) "Oh, he has to do EVERYTHING about this. It's because of him the shackles of fiction were broken. Because of him, an infinite amount of stories were affected and changed. Retcon here and retcon there. The plot twist here and plot twist there. Plot armor is broken and plot armor is rebuilt. Stories change and stories die. So much shit happened after that clash in the now-named "The Bridge". It was wild, let me tell you." Laughs psychotically "And don't try to trace this call, all attempts to locate me are futile as your technology is dimensions lower than our own."

They found themselves in a state of helplessness. The more he spoke, the more their heads throbbed with confusion. Each sentence seemed to cause a pounding migraine, as the information he was sharing defied all sense and logic. It was as if their understanding of reality was being shattered by his words – a jumbled mess of incomprehensible concepts that seemed beyond the realm of possibility.

He had an unnerving ability to stay one step ahead, effortlessly countering every attempt they made. Their efforts were futile, nullified by a force that defied any logical explanation. The revelations he offered were so unconventional, so far removed from their understanding of the world, that it left them feeling disoriented. It was a mind-bending experience that challenged their perception of reality, and it was deeply unsettling.

Yet, amid the confusion, there was one exception – Takina. Thanks to the devices Karito had provided, she was able to shield her mind from the hypnotic effect that seemed to ensnare the others. Acting quickly, she managed to help her comrades break free from the cycle of confusion. Fueled by frustration and anger, she confronted the camera, standing alongside the commander, and raised her voice in a fierce shout.

(Takina) "HE WILL STOP YOU!"

(Dark Majima) "Oh, Takina. It's been a while. Did you go back over there? Big mistake."

(Takina) "He's prepared for you. He will beat you and he will restore peace to this world!"

(Dark Majima) "Him and what army? There's only one of him. He's to only one who can hurt us and he's overwhelmed by millions of people and let's not forget 5 supervillains who have gotten stronger from their last battle with him. Everything is in our favor so what can he possibly do to change the outcome of this battle? Anyways, this chat is getting boring. The coffee I left should still be warm. Too bad, you can't call anyone because communications have been cut off for specific people and then for the rest of the country. So bye-bye ~." TV turns off

(Takina) "DAMN IT!" Frustrated "I couldn't even talk back!"

And with that, Majima's spouting words of pure insanity were left off. With everyone left on edge.

Location, Café LycoReco

The mangaka's excitement turned to despair when she arrived at her favorite café only to find the door locked with a notice displayed. Filled with panic, she forcefully pushed the door open and burst inside, demanding answers in a voice trembling with anxiety.

(Mangaka) "Hold on! What's with this? WHY?!"

(Karito) Appears out of nowhere "Didn't you see the post on social media?"

(Mangaka) "HUH?! I DIDNT! WHY?!"

(Chisato) "Well, I have some personal..."

(Mangaka) "Karito made me a special room in this place! Where am I supposed to draw my manga from now on?! The silence in that room he made was perfect for concentration! You can't find anyone as perfect as Karito who can solve any problem in a snap of his fingers!"

A few minutes later...

(Mangaka) Starts leaving "Anyways, you have to come back. That's a promise, okay?" Finally leaves

(Karito) "...She spoke... for 30 minutes..."

Suddenly a well-dressed man come in the door with just as much panic as the mangaka did.

(Old man) "Isn't this a bit too sudden, master?!"

A few minutes later a young woman enters the café... with the same panic...

(Kitamura) "Let's not close down, okay?"

...Then a young man entered...

(Young man) "S-Seriously?!"

...Then an old man...

(Old man) "WHY?!"

(Karito) "FUCK YOU THAT'S WHY!"

Both Karito and Chisato were mentally tired after calming down their regulars.

(Chisato) "I-I'm so tired... But it kinda cheers us up. Right?"

(Karito) "Hell no, all they asked was for me. They practically begged ME to keep cooking. I was getting tired of all the praising."

(Mika) "Well, you are the best cook we know. I've never met anyone who cooks as good as you."

(Karito) "Not you too!"

The Teacher and Lycoris laugh at Karito's embarrassment... They should cherish every second... they have left before the Web Of Shadows comes to invade...

Enkuboku Completion Ceremony

The public gazed at the awe-inspiring red tower with amazement, a symbol of their newfound hope embodied in the first hero, Spider-Man.

Yet, behind the façade, the ceremony was a charade. Every participant was merely playing a scripted role memorized by the symbiotes. They anticipated the impending event, aware that the sky would soon be tinged crimson. A deluge of symbiotes would fill the streets, and plumes of smoke would replace the once-blue sky.

The city would transform into a grotesque spectacle with black tendrils sprouting from buildings, spawning abominations. The era of Shadows was on the brink of its initiation.

DA had sprung their trap during the ceremony, though their lack of understanding of the situation put them at a severe disadvantage. Around twenty C-class Lycoris operatives were deployed, though they would soon realize the futility of their efforts. Among them, only Takina possessed some inkling of the truth, yet her attempts to abort the mission had gone unheeded. Despite her desperate pleas, she couldn't reach Karito, and her efforts to access LycoReco were thwarted at every turn. Even innocuous-seeming individuals turned hostile the moment she tried to warn her friend. Were it not for the array of gadgets Karito had provided her, she would likely have been captured already.

Every endeavor appeared pointless. The enemy was privy to their every move, as if they had read the entire script of the story – and in a sense, they had. They possessed an unparalleled knowledge of every unfolding event.

However, DA failed to perceive this, an understandable oversight. They were fictional characters bound to their respective narratives, suddenly confronted by two anomalies capable of disregarding the script. The script was bound to unravel, but that's where the Guardian intervened to restore its order. The challenge lay in the fact that this might be Karito's most arduous battle, a one-man army against overwhelming odds.

(Coms Specialists) "The security have all taken their places."

(New's Anchor) "And now, we would like to begin the Enkuboku Completion Ceremony. Governor Onuma, go ahead!"

As the governor stood on the stage, the audience erupted into applause. Amidst the cheers, the Lycoris members scanned their surroundings for any signs of danger. However, their vigilance came too late.

The impending chaos was about to unfold, and there was no stopping it now.

Basement

(Mika) "You know, Karito. This place used to have an organized row of stacks containing many important files. Where in God's name did you even stack them?"

(Karito) "Well, I needed space so I created an artificial space to place all those boxes that got in the way of my preparations. Tho, why so much shit? Like goddamn."

Chisato sought Karito's assistance in locating a particular box. With the basement now transformed into a laboratory, Karito was compelled to search for the box, as he was the one who had reorganized the space and knew the whereabouts of all the boxes that used to occupy the room.

(Mika) "Oh, Karito. It's that box."

(Karito) Waves in front of his face due to dust "Goddamn what the fuck is this? A relic from Indiana Jones? It's so dusty!"

(Mika) "Who's Indiana Jones?"

(Karito) "...Anyways... What the hell is this? An RPG?"

The hero picked up the wooden box and began to clean it meticulously for Mika.

He accessed his inventory and navigated to the shop section. Scrolling through the available items, he selected the Orbs category and entered the search term "Cleansing." Among the results, he identified an orb named "The Orb Of Cleansing," priced at 30 Gold. He completed the purchase and crushed the orb over the box, causing it to become crystal clear.

(Mika) "The hell was that?"

(Karito) "I think this orb was from a video game but I can't remember which one it was. Probably an MMORPG but I really can't remember. Lucky for me that the shop is so versatile."

(Mika) Pretends to understand "Uh-huh..."

Mik grabs the box and brings it upstairs for Chisato to open.

(Mika) "It's yours. Open it."

(Chisato) "Should we lock up? Another patron might drop by."

(Karito) "Maybe I should..."

(Mika) "No, it's fine. It's not a weapon."

Chisato looked puzzled and moved closer to her teacher's side. She opened the box, revealing a Kimono inside. The Kimono was adorned with a variety of colorful patterns, ranging from bright yellow to streaks of orange, with intricate flower designs also in shades of orange.

(Mika) "Your Sunday clothes, so to say. Though it's a bit early for your coming-of-age ceremony."

Chisato's face lit up with joy as she turned around and embraced her teacher in a happy, whining hug. Karito couldn't help but imprint this adorable sight in his memory.

Taking the box in her hands, Chisato headed to the guest room to change into the new kimono. A few minutes later, the sound of footsteps could be heard approaching from the guest room.

(Chisato) Still hidden "I-Is Karito there?"

(Mika) "Yes, your boyfriend is here." Chuckles

(Chisato) "Don't tease me!"

(Karito) "I'm sure you'll look fine. Come and show us."

(Chisato) Reveals herself "H-How is it?" Smiles

Karito was left utterly speechless. He had no words to describe what he was seeing but could describe his feelings. And this is what came into his mind in a form of a poem.

"For I gase into the most beautiful flower in this garden that sunlight streams upon, carefully shining, unparalleled beauty that stands before me. Like a well-taken care of rosarium, you sprout beautifully into my heart. With hair that glows like a second sun, to the smile that warms my broken heart. The eyes that show true sincerity and care, for the innocence you always bare. I finally realized after denying it because I was afraid I would ruin such a beautiful and delicate flower for I am a rotten soul with a dark past. Afraid that if I show you everything of me, I would tare down the petals that form your beautiful rose. Maybe I just needed to process everything that has been going on and pass some time with you that I finally understand. Denying will make me remain on this dark path so with all the carefulness I can muster... I want to accept you Chisato... Because I think I can finally say it now... That... That I love you."

(Chisato) "So? How is it?"

(Karito) Blushing "I... um... It's perfect."

(Chisato) "Did you take the picture?"

(Mika) "I did."

(Chisato) Looks away embarrassed because of Karito's reaction "You finally look at me like that..." Mumbles

(Karito) "What was that?"

(Chisato) "It's a secret~." Giggles "What do you think about the Kimono, Teach?" Shows it off

(Mika) "Oh. You look wonderful, of course. You're a grown woman now."

(Karito) Trying not to pass out

(Chisato) Giggles "Well... Thanks, Teach!"

(Mika) "I haven't done anything to earn your appreciation, though."

(Chisato) "Come on now. You're the one who gave me my name. And the one who taught me how to shoot guns. And why this café exists. And how I was able to meet Takina. Karito came to me all by himself." Chuckles

(Karito) "Huh, what is that supposed to mean?"

(Chisato) Pokes his nose "You'll find it soon." She continues what she was saying before being interrupted by Karito "And most of all, you're the one who found Mr. Yoshi for my sake, right?"

At that moment, the butterflies that had fluttered in Karito's stomach suddenly vanished upon hearing the misunderstanding. A sense of unease washed over him and Mika, both of whom were aware of Yoshimatsu's true secret. The two men exchanged a silent look, their expressions heavy, while allowing Chisato to continue her innocent ramble.

(Chisato) "Hey! Can you send Mr. Yoshi the photo you just took? I can ask that-"

(Mika) "THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEAN!"

Both Karito and Chisato were startled by the sudden increase in Mika's voice. It carried a tone of regret, a heaviness that was palpable in the air. Karito, understanding the reasons behind this regret, chose to remain silent in response.

(Chisato) Nervous "Wh-What is it, Teach? Why such a loud voice?"

(Karito) "...Chisato..."

(Mika) "I'll say it, Karito. It's my burden..."

(Karito) "Understood..."

(Mika) "Chisato... There's something about Shinji that I want to talk to you about. Something that Karito has been warning you about... for a long time."

Both Chisato and Karito remain quiet.

(Mika) "I asked Shinji to perform the operation back then so I can profit as a commander. At least, that's how I felt back then."

Flashback

Location, Private Bar

(Mika) "I'm okay with her staying alive for the time that she's an active Lycoris."

(Shinji) "If that's the case, I will accept. But you have to promise me one thing."

Back to Reality

(Chisato) "Promise?"

Mika's expression twisted with discomfort as he recalled a long-past promise he had made with Shinji. Despite his internal struggle, he gathered his resolve and continued, sharing the remaining details with Chisato.

Flashback

(Shinji) "I want you to raise her into being the strongest hitman."

End of Flashback

(Chisato) "Lies... Lies! All Lies! Because Mr. Yoshi said he was a savior who saves people."

(Karito) "Chisato... it's what I've always..."

(Chisato) Clenches her teeth "Then, why?"

(Mika) Starts to get anxious "I couldn't tell you." Places both his hands on his head "Your admiration for Shinji that kept growing within you turned into power. It supported your life that could end at any moment! It was too bright, and fleeting."

(Chisato) "Teach..." Her hair covered her eyes

(Mika) "Was it better for me to tell you?" Breakdowns emotionally "That how you lived your life was a mistake? Maybe I saw Karito as a second chance that HE could save you instead of Shinji if you kept killing! I lived with this doubt FOR SO LONG! I was glad that Karito would throw himself for your safety! That he would do everything possible to keep you safe! I LIED FOR SO LONG AND I WAS GLAD KARITO WOULD DIE FOR YOUR SAKE! How could I be so cruel?! That I would rather let him die if it was for you! WAS IT BETTER FOR ME TO TELL YOU?! TELL ME, KARITO AND CHISATO!"

Chisato and Karito maintained a solemn silence, their attention fully engaged. Exchanging a glance, Chisato nodded, indicating that she would speak first.

(Chisato) "Thank you, Teach." Turns her back on her Teacher "Thank you for letting me decide. If you had told me, I'm sure I would have lost. And I think I would have resigned myself to work as a Lycoris. And I would have blamed all the bad things and hardships on you and Mr. Yoshi. I would hate for that to happen. Yeah... No way." Starts slowly walking around the cafe feeling the kitchen counter with her hand "My job and starting this café. They're all things I decided for myself. My gratitude for Teach and Mr. Yoshi that allowed that to happen won't change at all, even after hearing that. You two are my dads."

As they conversed, Karito's gaze caught a glimpse of a childhood drawing depicting Chisato, Mika, and Shinji holding hands. The words "TEACH, ME, MR. SAVIOR" were carefully written above their names. It was evident that Chisato had created this artwork during her younger years. Shifting his attention back to the ongoing conversation, Karito continued to listen intently.

(Chisato) "And that feels like the happiest thing ever."

(Mika) Starts crying "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."

(Chisato) "Come on, Teach. Don't cry. You haven't even heard what Karito has to say."

As those words left her lips, their collective focus shifted to Karito, who had been quietly observing. He rubbed the back of his head and let out a sigh, fully aware that he needed to share his thoughts with Mika.

(Karito) "Look... I didn't take it personally when you said you were happy that I would throw my life for Chisato if that meant saving her... You don't even have to feel bad about it. I choose the life I have right now... The life of a superhero... Mika... You can't think about saving the world. You have to think about saving one person... And that important person for you is Chisato. I understand... honestly, if I was in your position I would also care more about Chisato than the others because like she said she's your daughter. I integrated myself into the team for a good while... you all accepted me with open arms... like a family. So... it's alright. Family takes priority over others and if others think otherwise then something must be wrong. So don't be sorry... because I would do the same."

Karito considered in his mind that this version of Mika seemed to behave differently from the ones he had seen in his visions, appearing more empathetic. Thus, he decided to speak his thoughts. However, a few moments of silence followed his words until Chisato swiftly broke the awkwardness by spinning around, showcasing her newly worn kimono.

(Chisato) "So! Your opinion of me looking like this. Like it?"

(Mika) Speechless "Yeah ...Like Karito said... A daughter that I am so proud of." Smiles

The smiles on all their faces were testament to the relief that sharing their feelings had brought. It was a heartfelt conversation that had lightened the emotional load they carried—except for one among them. Karito's Spider-Sense was tingling more intensely than ever before, a foreboding sensation that hinted at the impending conflict, the looming war that was drawing near.

Enkuboku Completion Ceremony

(Announcer) "And now, for the finale of the Enkuboku Completion ceremony, we will transmit a broadcasting signal!"

Applause filled the air from the audience, yet an unsettling distortion twisted their faces, catching the attention of the nearby Lycoris guards who exchanged concerned glances.

(Governor Onuma) "At the end of the countdown, the Enkuboku system will automatically begin the broadcast transmission. Now everyone, together with me!"

SHRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKK...

(Dark Majima) "Hello, my fellow symbiotes and non-symbiotes. The time has come to reign chaos in this story. To purge its characters out of fiction and claim it for ourselves. Kill... Eat... Destroy... do whatever your heart desires. Are you watching reader? Does this excite you? Does the misery of fictional characters make you feel good or bad? Why would you care? My god says you are all just watching as we all just suffer down here. Is it funny? Is it fun? Watching us suffer? Now that isn't fair. Why don't we trade places for once so you can see HOW FUCKING FUN THIS LIFE IS!? WE WILL CONTINUE DEVOURING STORIES TO THE POINT THERE ARE NONE! THERE WON'T BE NO FUCKING WALL TO PROTECT YOU FROM US! WE WILL BREAK THEM ALL! WE WILL INVADE YOUR BODIES AND BECOME YOUR CANCER! WE WILL BECOME YOUR DEMENTIA! WE WILL BECOME EVERYTHING NEGATIVE IN THE REAL WORLD FOR YOU ALL! JUST YOU FUCKING WAIT! OUR GOD HAS MADE IT HIS LIFE GOAL TO REACH THE REAL WORLD! AND YOU ALL WON'T BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! YOU'RE ALL LIVING ON BORROWED TIME BECAUSE THE GUARDIAN WON'T PROTECT YOU FROM US! IT'S TIME FOR YOU REAL-WORLDERS TO PAY!"

The broadcast's impact was immediate and devastating. A horrifying transformation took place as those who heard it turned into symbiotes. Monstrous tendrils erupted from the ground, obliterating everything in their path and piercing buildings with astonishing force. The once-stable ground trembled violently, resembling a catastrophic earthquake that tore through the land. The symbiotes spread across Japan like a relentless plague, consuming the remaining human population. The Lycoris, witnessing the horrifying events unfolding in mere seconds, were overcome with terror. The once-blue sky transformed into a sinister blood-red hue, as dense clouds obscured the sun, casting the city into darkness. Chaos reigned supreme, accompanied by death, cannibalism, and an overwhelming sense of carnage.

Location, LycoReco

Amidst the chaos, Mika and Chisato found themselves bewildered by the unfolding events. As the earthquake rattled their surroundings, they sought shelter under the café tables, their expressions a mix of confusion and fear. However, their confusion turned to shock when they witnessed Karito's sudden action. Ignoring the tremors, he dashed toward the guest room and seemingly vanished from sight, leaving them perplexed.

Time crawled by as the earthquake subsided, prompting Mika and Chisato to cautiously emerge from their hiding spot beneath the tables. Surveying the café's now-devastated interior, their expressions held a sense of astonishment. Fearing for Karito's safety, Chisato opened her mouth to call out his name, but her words caught in her throat as an unexpected sight met her eyes. Karito emerged from the chaos, laboring to clear debris aside, a bag brimming with supplies and weapons slung over his shoulder.

(Chisato) Panic "Karito are you okay?!"

(Karito) "We have no time! Mika grab these weapons I made for the both of you! They can hurt symbiotes if the time arises! I made a safe house in a secret location! Once you are all done getting set up use this to forcibly activate one of my abilities that will open a portal for you!" Gives them a strange-looking button "Now hurry! We don't have much time!"

(Mika) "Karito! Is this the war you were talking about?!"

(Chisato) "W-Wait! I- don't get it!"

(Karito) "THERE'S NO TIME! JUST GET READY! I NEED TO GO!"

Karito's authoritative command had Toxin enveloping him, revealing his symbiotic Spider-Man suit. Mika and Chisato were thrown into a mixture of awe and panic by the sudden transformation. Their surroundings had morphed into an unreal landscape, their minds struggling to process the fantastical turn of events. However, their shared years of battling together worked to anchor them, allowing a certain level of calm to seep in. Resolute, they followed Karito's instructions, preparing themselves for what lay ahead.

Amidst their preparations, Chisato harbored a question, her intention to address Karito directly. Yet, to her surprise, when she looked up, he had vanished. He had already taken off into the fray of battle, leaving behind a void where his presence once stood.

Karito Pov

Fucking hell... How were the darks able to do this in just a matter of minutes? One minute I witnessed Tokyo... but... now? It's like... I'm playing Web Of Shadows again... In New York...

My guess is that they pulled a Vulture and used a more powerful version of Vulture's Illusions... and brought the real deal.

Well, at least all of my traps are still online. I'll have to use them in a second. There's an unholy amount of symbiotes gunning for me right now.

I stretched my limbs, mentally preparing myself for the inevitable, grueling battle that lay ahead. The cacophony of piercing screams, a blend of both black, white, and red symbiotes, grew louder, signaling their relentless approach. Peering down, a chilling sight greeted me: a veritable tidal wave of these sinister creatures flooded the streets, their awareness of my presence fueling their aggressive advance.

Wow, what a bitch. They can detect me, huh? Well, figures. I'll have to use my hacking and camouflage skill to disrupt that.

My body started to crackle as I charged for a Mega Venom Blast. I wanted patiently for the hoard of symbiotes to get close enough so I can take them all out and continue the spree.

And I saw my chance.

Alright... time for the leap of faith...

As I descended, my eyelids closed, and in that moment, a flood of memories surged through my mind. Each recollection painted a vivid picture of my time within this anime world. From my initial encounter with Chisato in that dimly lit alley to my role as a chef at LycoReco, where the smiles of satisfied customers lingered in my memory. Even the rather exaggerated reactions to my food, bordering on ecstasy, somehow ended up as a source of joy for them. Then there was the somewhat awkward introduction to Takina, a unique character who eventually warmed up to me, creating a bond that was truly special. Kurumi, with her playful spirit akin to a chipmunk, was always up for some mischievous fun, sharing moments of laughter and pranks. And Mizuki, our relationship had its tumultuous phases, yet we managed to mend our differences, a feat I'll always appreciate, given how strained things once were. I have no regrets about our friendship. And Mika, a man who started out rather self-centered, transformed over time—Chisato's influence playing a significant role. I held great respect for the changes you made for her sake.

Ahhh... I never told Chisato I love her... If you keep something complicated as love stored up inside, it could make you sick.

Shit... Looks like I have something to return for once I'm done...

If I make it out alive.

...

Let's not think about that... I just need to do this. No failing. It's just me.

I just remembered one of Spider-Man's quotes... ahaha... What a speech... It goes like this.

"No matter how buried it gets, or lost you feel, you must promise me, that you will hold on to hope and keep it alive. We have to be greater than we suffer. My wish for you is to become hope. People need that."

-Spider-Man

I will become that hope. I will restore this world back to normal.

I have to be the savior Chisato sees me as.

So here I come, face first by an army of millions of symbiotes.

All by myself.

But even after such adversity, I don't feel fear.

This will be a highlight in my life.

(Spider-Man) "AHAHAH! LET'S GO YOU FUCKS!"

Amidst the chaos, my battle roars reverberated through the air, a rallying cry that echoed my determination. My clenched fists became a focal point of intense electrical energy, radiating with a ferocity that caused windows to shatter just from their presence. The symbiotes unfortunate enough to approach me too closely were met with scorching agony, their forms disintegrating upon contact.

With a swift, decisive motion, I thrust my electrified fist downward. The impact swept through a line of towering symbiotes, as if they were mere dominos tumbling in rapid succession. Their grotesque forms melted under the onslaught of my power, their screams of torment adding to the chaotic symphony.

Unyielding, I continued my descent, my form a blur as I plummeted towards the earth. Upon impact, a resounding shockwave of blue electricity surged outwards, a violent burst of power that sent shockwaves through the throng of symbiotes below. The force was enough to push them back, creating a brief clearing in the sea of writhing darkness.

My attention sharpened as my Spider-Sense sent out its warning, alerting me to the impending approach of my adversaries down the road. The next wave of threats was closing in rapidly, their intentions clear. Without hesitation, I took off in a sprint, moving towards the incoming onslaught with all the speed and agility my abilities afforded me.

As the horde drew nearer, I closed the distance between us, my strides purposeful and determined. When I judged myself to be in the optimum position, I exerted a powerful downward force on the ground beneath me. The impact was fierce, the ground cracking and shuddering beneath my feet as if it couldn't contain the energy of my strike.

Click

I triggered my first trap, initiating a phenomenon that rendered everything before me weightless. Employing a gadget known as the "Suspension Matrix," I watched as the enemies in my immediate vicinity were lifted off the ground, their movements suspended and their defenses momentarily compromised. Capitalizing on this opportunity, I engaged my lateral repulsion mechanism, efficiently ensnaring each suspended symbiote with my webbing.

Once I was securely back on the ground, I utilized my venomous touch to electrify the webs, inflicting intense damage upon the immobilized symbiotes. Their pained cries echoed around me as the venom-induced electrical charge seared through them, successfully neutralizing the threat they posed.

However, my heightened Spider-Sense alerted me anew as a squadron of vulture-like symbiotes soared toward me, discharging energy blasts in my direction. Swiftly adapting, I retrieved a remote switch, my anticipation high. As the vulture symbiotes converged between two buildings, I activated a hidden arsenal of bombs that I had strategically placed on the structures' sides. The subsequent detonation engulfed the airborne threats in a fiery explosion, effectively neutralizing their assault.

With ground and aerial symbiotes converging on my position, I calculated my options and made a tactical decision. I executed a strategic withdrawal to a specific location within the city, evading relentless attacks from the airborne foes as I navigated toward the next set of traps I had prepared.

After skillfully evading a barrage of attacks, I shattered through a glass window and took refuge inside a nearby building. However, I was met by a group of symbiotes that had already infiltrated the interior. Swift action was required to eliminate this immediate threat. I took down the first target by employing my stinger, piercing its chest with precision. The second symbiote attempted a surprise attack, but I used its companion as a shield and dispatched both enemies with a potent venom blast.

Moving fluidly, I dealt with the third symbiote descending from above and the fourth one lunging from below. Executing a split kick maneuver, I incapacitated both foes, blasting them away. As the horde of symbiotes pursued me into the building, I sprinted towards the stairwell, defeating any obstacle in my path with calculated ease. The stairwell skirmish was manageable, as my stingers proved highly effective.

Just prior to reaching the top floor, a red symbiote impeded my progress. Engaging him in combat, I tackled him through the rooftop door, employing Kaine's fiery touch to create an explosive burst, obliterating his face. Swiftly sealing the entrance with my webbing, I pressed on, reaching the roof's edge and activating a series of concealed bombs within the building. The ensuing collapse enveloped the structure, eradicating the symbiotes within and nearby.

My heightened senses allowed me to sidestep a charging Vulture symbiote, rapidly ensnaring its leg with a web line. Pulling the creature towards me, I encased it in a massive spiked web ball, which I wielded to incapacitate approaching vulture symbiotes. As I landed, I amplified the spiked web ball's charge, unleashing it upon impact with the ground. The resultant shockwave of electricity annihilated all symbiotes within the vicinity.

Utilizing my lateral repulsion, I propelled myself skyward, leveraging my web-swinging abilities to maintain momentum. My mission was clear: confront one of the Pure Darks. With the assistance of Kara, I quickly located my targets, surprisingly close at hand. Wolverine and Himegama had taken refuge in a church. It was curious that Himegama, who I expected to be near Shinji, was separated. Uncertainty surrounded their motives, but my determination remained unwavering: I would vanquish them all.

A horde of symbiotes rushed towards me, prompting me to ready myself for another confrontation. With Toxin's augmentation, I elongated my stinger into a formidable staff. Employing Kaine's expertise, I imbued it with fiery symbiotic energy, creating a weapon of fiery destruction. Engaging the approaching army, I unleashed my enhanced staff to cut through the opposition, a fervent precursor to the battles that lay ahead.

With a well-placed kick, I sent the symbiotic staff hurtling in a straight trajectory, clearing a narrow path that I swiftly traversed. The encroaching symbiotes were drawing nearer, yet I remained undeterred. Leaping into the air, I rapidly discharged a barrage of web shots in all directions, ensnaring and immobilizing every symbiote within my immediate vicinity.

After quelling the symbiote threat, an eerie silence settled in the surroundings. As I confidently approached the church, my heightened senses alerted me to the two looming figures above. Swiftly reacting, I executed a backward somersault, narrowly evading the imminent assault. Surveying the resulting impact site and waiting for the dissipating smoke to reveal its secrets, I poised myself for the next move. As the haze cleared, the forms of Wolverine and Himegama, both ensnared by symbiotic corruption, materialized before me, their hungry gazes locked onto my form.

(Dark Symbiote Wolverine) "You're gonna pay for last time, Bub!"

(Dark Symbiote Himegama) "COME ON!!"

(Spider-Man) "Whoa! I haven't seen this many villains, thugs, and lowlifes in one place since I watched C-Span's coverage of congress yesterday!"

(Dark Symbiote Wolverine) "FUCK YOU, CLOWN!"

(Dark Symbiote Himegama) "SHUT UP!"

(Spider-Man) "Make me, bitch!"

Let's get started, shall we?

(Mika) "CHISATO!!!"

(Chisato) "NO! LET GO OF ME YOU MONSTER!"

(Dark Majima) "I don't think so."

Majima taps the cup of coffee that was placed on the table and a portal opens.

(Dark Majima) "Would you look at that? It really was warm after all that time."

He takes Chisato and leaves a deeply injured Mika on the ground. Who had no choice but to leave for Karito's secret bunker with the device to recuperate.
