the boy looked towards his collection of plants, before doing the ritual he did before. 3 plants were better than 2, right?
the boy used condensed mana strings and connected the three plants to his back, where the second-lowest seal was.
the boy pushed the vitality out of the plants and shoved it into the mark on his back, as the boy felt like his body was tearing from the constant mana that was being pushed into it.
the seal started to crumble in face of the plant's vitality, as the boy watched the plants next to him start to wither due to stealing their vitality.
the boy waited and waited, as 5 minutes passed, and the seal had fully crumbled up.
A blinding light filled the empty house as the second-lowest seal started to shine in resplendent light.
the boy felt something he could never feel before. he felt his mana start to grow, and his sensitivity increasing.
but he felt different. a portion of his mana was drained as a small heart-shaped tattoo appeared on the palm of the boy's hand
once it was over, the boy knew what he had gained and what he could do with it.
the boy fused the Qiwik plant with the Foxgloves once more, looking at the lovely lavender petals that he had decided to name "Metis" who is known to be a poison god under the religion of the people of the forest.
the boy crushed the petals and ate them directly. although the taste wasn't pleasant, the vitality in his body rushed to the poison and neutralized it quickly.
the boy had gained resistance to poison and was able to filter it out.
the mark on his hand started to grow to respond to his mana, as the boy connected his hand to the catcus plant, and ignored the countless spikes in his hand.
the mana was transformed in the seal, slowly traveling down to the catcus below and changing it.
the mana filtered it to the purest form of mana as a bright and vibrant blue string was attached, mana being transferred.
the boy felt tiredness with every going second but the boy felt it was bearable due to the mana that the second seal had made.
the catcus plant slowly begins to grow bigger and stronger, the plant being bathed in the purest form of mana.
much like how animals can adapt and use mana to their advantage, so can plants. some can evolve endlessly, as most plants could live eternally when enough water sunlight or mana was present.
in ancient records, there was apparently a Plant that had lived for 500 years that was angry that the tribe was on their land. it was killed by the chief, but the villagers saw it as the wrath of the forest god
the catcus needles had started to poke out more, as they became longer and thinner by the body of the plant growing.
the boy collapsed on the floor, panting widely.
the mark on his hand was deactivated, and it seemed another month would pass until it would come back online.
the boy had found the power of the second seal,
the power to evolve plants.
-----------------------
The boy woke up in the morning, before looking at the catcus plant that overtowered the rest of the small plants beside it.
the boy summoned some of the needles and saw how long it was.
the needles had become more studier, sharper and less thick, making it a fast tool.
the catcus needles had become around 4 inches long, as the boy created countless of them.
when the plant had "Evolved", the mana cost to create the needles grew by 10x, causing the boy to frown. although his mana was boosted, it was still annoying
the needles were stored in a pouch Paraona had made for his 4th birthday.
Paraona worked in a clothing and leather store run by an old granny.
most villagers frown at her as she hasn't found a husband at the age of 15 , which is considered ungrateful to the forest god.
Paraona wanted indepence and the right to choose her mate herself, rather than in a forced marriage countless people in the village were subjected to.
the boy walked out of the house and went into the forest again, deciding to go hunting for some rabbits to have some dinner.
most of the villagers are vegetarians, but the boy wanted to eat some meat.
after wandering for a few hours, the boy set his sights on a fox that appeared out of the bushes, it gnarling its teeth at him.
the boy grabbed a few lavenders tipped needles and decided to test their fatality as he threw it at the fox, who dodged the first one but didn't expect the second one that the boy had thrown predicting the fox's movement.
the needle hit the fox as the boy watched in interest as the lavender tipped needle injected its poison, making the fox scream in pain.
it was weak , but it put a timer on the fox's life.
the boy grabbed the 4-inch catcus needles and started throwing them.
their weight had been affected by the change, making it harder for the boy to aim properly, but he quickly got used to it and threw the needles at the fox.
the fox dodged the first 3, but the 4th one hit it in the chest but didn't kill it
screams of pain came as blood dripped down its wounds, but the boy didn't show any sympathy, throwing another 3 at it.
each pierced the fox easily, causing it to whimper before falling on its side.
the boy collected the fox corpse before walking back home with it.
the boy didn't know how to cook, so it was up to paraona to cook it for him.
the boy went back and fell asleep, tired due to physical activity that was tiring for any 5 year old.
the boy closed his eyes and slept.
