Undecipherable Truth

The space around Alex was as thick as lead. As he watched, he gave off a mortified expression. The audio played out loud with static like voices and the sound of Clara breathing. The tension raised as Levi and Prince looked over at him terrified at what they were hearing. They didn't move as they listened to the voices speak. Alex watched the video although it pointed mainly to bushes. He gritted his teeth hoping to pick up something that would lead them onto a suspect. His expression dropped to shocked from what he heard and saw next. "Your next target..." These were the words heard when he saw the camera get pointed to a picture being handed over. It was of him. The video stopped there.

"What did you see?" Asked Levi concerned.

Alex didn't respond and continued staring at his laptop. His expression slowly changing.

"Hey Alex! Are you gonna tell us or not?" Prince raised his voice.

Alex played the video back and turned the screen around. He knew he was the next target. His expression was building with anger. The air around him became unbreathable as the tension raised higher as the two watched the video in disbelief. Levi got up and walked up to Alex who was seated. She wrapped her arms around him. "Don't do anything stupid. We already almost lost Clara, but these guys seem serious about you." She said this quietly whilst hugging Alex who struggled to calm himself of his anger.

The doorbell suddenly rang, and they all looked over to the door with a sense of anxiety. Prince went to answer the door and the room became suffocating as he placed his hand on the door handle. He pulled it down and it felt as if weight was building on his shoulders. Alex quickly stood up; fists clenched with the look of violent glare shooting at the guest. The door opened to a pair of golden eyes and messy blonde hair. Kellin stood there with a deceptively concerned look on his face.

"I heard about Clara. Is she ok?" He said with a believable amount of concern.

"She's in a coma. They don't know how long she will take to get out of it. I also heard the doctors say she may wake up with amnesia." Prince said gravely.

Kellin looked over at Alex noticing Levi standing next to him. "How are you feeling Levi? You were really close to here. Actually… she was like a sister to both of you." He said this like he cared.

Levi did not reply, and Alex stood there silently looking at the ground and sat back down with a hand to his head. Levi stepped away from him. Kellin walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder.

"She'll be ok. We will catch the person who did this." He said calmly. He hugged her. She felt a strange sense of comfort which she didn't expect. It felt as if he knew exactly what he was doing. Prince looked over to Alex. Feeling uncomfortable, stepped closer to Kellin.

"All we know is that this person is after Alex. We know from a video we received from Clara from possibly before she was attacked." Prince said in a serious manner.

Prince looked over at Alex to show the video.

Kellin watched the video with a blank expression. No emotion was shown. The video ended and he turned away from the group. "Do we have any possible suspects?" He asked.

"No, we don't." Replied Prince.

Kellin grinned momentarily before turning to face the group again. He looked over at Alex. He looked into his green eyes. Eyes filled with anger and hate that it made Kellin flinch. He had never seen his eyes like this.

"How can those pretty green eyes look so violent?" He thought. "It's best to get rid of him soon."

"I'm going to find them myself." Alex suddenly announced. "The people behind this will not get away with touching the only sister I have!"

"And how do you plan of doing that?" Raised Levi. "You can't fight alone, and you can't charge head in. These people could be dangerous and will actually kill you." She begins to tear up a little.

Alex looks over at her and calms down. He never intended to make her upset. "I'm sorry." Alex looks over to Kellin whose expression was blank. It was as he wouldn't stop Alex from going out.

"I think we should all go home and cool down." Suggested Prince. "This is a lot to take now, but know us, we'll solve this. We just need to work together. Am I right?" He looks up to Kellin who just watched on blankly.

"Right." He responded.

Levi stood up and walked over to the door. She saw everyone out and quickly retreated to her room.

Alex and Prince made their way back to their home where they spoke very little for the rest of the day.

Kellin made his way to the town to the post shop. He walked to the back where he was greeted by Ms Khun.

"Do those kids suspect you?" She asked.

"No, no they don't. Alex won't find out as he's next. That girl, Levi will be mine. Everything I want I will get. Anyone who tries to stop that will receive a not so nice treatment." He said.

"Well, I'm not going to stop you child, your father is a generous man to me" she said "and he's also very dangerous."
