" All the angels have the same physical powers, it just depends on how well we perfect those powers. But we all have our special attributes. One can breathe in water, one can breathe fire, one can make ice mountains with their hand. It's what the god wanted them to have. It's like their own special ability that each of them was blessed with. " He said calmly.

"That's why all 9 of us are celebrated on separate occasions. Like Luke, he is celebrated at the start of winter. Luke has come to rescue them from the excruciating heat and bless them with a cold temperature. All of them have their occasion, except for me. " He said as he started fiddling with a leaf that was on the floor.

" Why don't you have one? " She asked going back to looking at the stars again.

"It's because nobody knows what my true attribute is. " He said crushing the leaf that was in his hand

" So... If nobody knows your attribute then how come you got the title of God's favoured child? " She asked

"It's because that's what the other angels have always told the people. That the day when I am born is the day the people will truly be blessed. That they are mere dummies acting on God's will, but I am a child, that the gods truly adore. " He said

" What is your attribute Saki? " She asked looking at him

He turned to look at her, a tear rolling down his face. She could see just how hard it was for him to talk about all this.

" You know the last time I told someone my attribute, they locked me up for 9 years. " He joked.

She leaned over and hugged him, rubbing his back. Trying to comfort him. As she stroked his back, she could feel him bury his face into her neck, his tears glistening her silk hemming. His hand reached for her shoulder to hold her closer. She embraced him hard as he gripped her shoulders. His tears grow uncontrollably. They stayed like that for about 3-4 minutes when Saki gained his composure back.

He gently pushes her away, wiping his tears away with a smile.

" Are you okay now? " She asked

He nodded his head while wiping his tears. They went back to where they were, continuing to look at the stars again. The light rustle of dry leaves fills the silence of the night. A gentle wind blew by, bringing the pale yellow leaves down the tree.

" I can change destinies. " He broke the silence. She looked at him with confusion, He turned his head to look into her eyes.

" I can change the destiny that people were initially born with. " He said, with a hint of pain in his eyes.

" And what does that mean? " She asked as nonchalantly as she could.

" In this world, God wrote down everyone's destiny—from a little insect to the king. Everyone's course of action is planned out. But sometimes, when something goes out of the narrative, God sends his angels to fix that. I, on the other hand, can change their destiny. Well, changing destiny might be an overkill. I free everyone and everything in this world of their destinies," He said as she processed all the information.

" So, do you have a destiny? " She asked

" Yes, god does write my whole life as well. And I can act upon it until well... I don't want to. " He shrugged

" I defy God's destiny, for not only me but for others as well. From the day that I am born to 400 years after god's control over life vanishes and every form of life is free to do whatever it wants. " He said calmly

" But that doesn't mean he sends me on earth for time-pass. He sends me down with a goal. " He added

" What was your goal in this life? " She asked.
