Chapter 20 - Wind Masters Sect

In the largest city in the east, The Wind Masters' sect resides.

The said sect has been helping the common people and has been selling (Forcing) their products to cultivators. The sect sells information, pills, cauldrons, jade boxes, medicinal herbs, handkerchiefs, spirit stones, interspatial rings, headdresses, talisman, beautifying products, clothes, and other important and not-so-important products. But the most abundant in their products are their fans. Big fans, small fans, simple, luxurious, Used for cultivation, used for fanning fire, Used as weapons. If you can't find the type of fan you want in The Wind Masters' sect, then you won't find it anywhere.

The whole city would be in a buzz whenever the sect releases a new type of product. Basically the sect was made to make more money than anyone else. This was the reason why the people sent to Willow city built an inn rather than staying in one, Killing two birds with one stone, they were able to be where their target is and exterminate them, and also make money!

The Wind Masters' sect wasn't the strongest sect, but it was the richest. The sect leader of Wind Masters is a woman named Scarlett Yahontov who was married to a man named Victor Lebedev. She is a cultivator who uses fans as a weapon and believes that women are on top of the food chain. Her relationship with his husband is very interesting. Though it was Scarlet who makes most of the decision, Victor is the one who maneuvers from behind, protecting his wife from all sides.

The Wind Masters' sect has a total of six peaks all of which has a Peak Master overseeing them. The first peak is called Breeze peak and it's Peak Lord is Scarlett herself. The Sect leader's disciples are mostly women of great spiritual power, a mental strength over 100, great beauty, and a mind of a businessman.

The second peak is the Dragon peak. The peak's Lord is named Vincent Wallace. He came from Capital city, saying that he was a merchant who sells pills. Afterwards, he entered the Wind Masters' sect and became an elder, even if he had only stayed for ten years. He has the most disciples in the sect, and the sect leader's son was one of them.

The third peak is called Veter. It is a peak specializing in healing rather than attack like the first two. It's Peak Lord is named Benjamin Thompson, there wasn't much in his name, but his healing ability is unparalleled. Many of the disciples from the first two peaks would look for them after being assaulted by resentful energies. The Veter peak was mostly inclined to research, but as healers, they would help in dispersing resentful energy in cultivators meridians.

The fourth peak also has healers as disciples. The peak was named Dut'ye and it's Peak Lord is William Thompson, Benjamin's brother. They are considered as the best healers in the east and has been cultivating since they were young.

The fifth peak is the Forbidden peak. The name was chosen by it's Peak Lord who had just turned 22 this year. Aoki Enyo was the same age as Wei Xiao, but he was already in the peak stage core formation. He has the same height as Qin Zuijia, and is more aloof than Wei Xiao. His peak teaches mages and most of which have already made name for themselves.

The last peak was Victor's peak. Victor doesn't have any disciples. His peak cultivates magical herbs and medicinal plants. This is where the sect gets their supply of Magical herbs to make pills. Although Victor doesn't have any disciples, he does however have ten contracted demon beasts who work for him. His life is the most leisurely.

Wei Xiao and co. arrived half a month later at the doorsteps of The Wind Masters Sect. By the gates are two guards holding a fan on one hand. They were talking to each other about the circulating issues in the City and mocking some people who don't know when to shut up. They have been talking with a dialect, making Wei Xiao and co. not understand them.

Alexander came to the door and introduced himself. "Hello gentlemen." He greeted. "I am Alexander, Me and my friends wanted to inquire about something from the sect."

The two looked at him and opened the gates. When Alexander had entered, one of the men whispered something on the other. The other guy blushed and hit the other in the head.

What greeted them from the inside was a vast land that's filled with nature and the six peaks welcomed the group. The whole land was brimming with spiritual energy and the air was pure and perfect.

The grasslands were home to several herbivore beasts and the skies are guarded by hundreds of flying demon beasts. There was a small pavilion erected right in front, and the word Lobby was painted on a sign board.

The five people, one ghost, entered the lobby and saw a woman holding a brush. Her face was covered with black ink and her hands were painted black. Her hair was tied in a bun and little streaks of hair were pointing out. There are two chairs in front of the table and a long bench on the side. The room smelled of sweet incense mixed with sandalwood.

Wei Xiao knocked on the wood and caught the attention of the girl.

"Sit on the right if you want to ask for information - for 100 gold coins, sit on the left if you have information to sell." She said as if she had said it a thousand times. It was fixed, concise and emotionless.

Wei Xiao pushed Qin Zuijia on the right chair. Qin Zuijia took out 100 gold coins. "Do you know a person named Bai Chenle?"

The girl reached for the gold coins, but stopped. "What do you want from him?"

"We came to relay a message from someone he knows." Wei Xiao answered.

The girl shook her head. "No need to pay, I'll take you to him." She stood up and went outside. "Master Bai has been waiting for you."

______________

In the farthest part of the sect ground is a house built for an artisan, his most common works were the fans sold by the sect. He has made several crafts, from a simple fan to a powerful sword. He doesn't only work as an artisan, he was also a mechanic and a blacksmith. He had all the knowledge to make weapons and protective gadgets, but his name has never made it pass the sect doors. The man inside wouldn't be considered mysterious, but he rarely ever leaves his home.

His home had an earthly feel, his walls were a warm redwood, decorated with green painting of nature. There are two rooms in his home in addition to the living room. His living was designed in a simple manner, with only two long chairs and a table, there are also swords and fans hanging on the walls and several animal fur on the floor.

Knocking on the door, Wei Xiao perceived that the man should have the same temperament as his uncle. Although there are animal furs on the floor, he didn't feel any arrogance coming from the room. Rather, he felt that the man was highly sophisticated in the fields of art and literature, and the swords mounted on the wall gave off a powerful vibe.

Wei Xiao called out a name, and a calm voice answered. His voice was unhurried, but also like the river flowing to the sea, or like a breeze on a cold night. It was calming, peaceful and comfortable.

Wei Xiao felt his uncle's aura in the man. His chest tightens, and his eyes mist. His heart started to beat louder and faster, as if telling him to see him immediately. He clenched his teeth and entered the first room.

Bai Chenle looked up and found Wei Xiao looking at him heart softened. Although Wei Xiao looked as cold as ever, Bai Chenle felt that the boy was on the verge of crying. He called a golem to push his wheelchair towards the coming people.

Upon closer inspection, Wei Xiao found that Bai Chanle was lame. He looked at his eyes and found that his eyes were milky white. He frowned and felt that something seemed to be unfair. Bai Chanle was already lame, how come he looks blind as well.

Qin Zuijia, on the other hand, found that Bai Chenle's eyes were very interesting. He saw how Bai Chenle was able to pinpoint on where to look and was able to make and fix his works, but his eyes were milky, making him look more like a blind person.

Bai Chenle doesn't mind the attention, he laughed and motioned to the golem to bring chairs for the people to sit.

"I can't really explain why my eyes were white, but I do know how I became lame." Bai Chenle said.

Wei Xiao was knitting his brows when he saw that the man looked blind, when he said that he wasn't really blind, his brows relaxed. He coughed and said. "There is no need for an explanation. We came to deliver and gift from someone." Wei Xiao took the Jade drive from his pouch and gave them to Bai Chenle. "Uncle won't be able to attend your next birthday." He said with a shaky voice.

Qin Zuijia patted his back and Xiao Ling hugged his legs.

Bai Chenle took the Jade drive and stared at it with misty eyes. He pursed and lips, and sighed. "Thank you."

Wei Xiao nodded. "It was no problem."

Bai Chenle looks at Alexander. "Your Highness. The sect leader is already waiting in her pavilion." He called out a golem to his side. "Ro will help you find your way."

Alexander stood up and nodded. He left with Miranda on his arms.

"May I ask for your names?" Bai Chenle said.

Wei Xiao looked at Qin Zuijia. Qin Zuijia nodded. "I am Wei Xiao, this is my brother's son Wei Ling, and..." He looks at Qin Zuijia, unable to say his last words.

"This should be Qin Zuijia, right?" Bai Chenle said with a smile. "Xuan has already told me what to do."

Wei Xiao knitted his brows, but secretly sighed in relief. "My uncle told us to hide."

Bai Chenle laughed. "No need to hide. We could change your appearances and say that you are my relatives."

"But people already saw us." Wei Xiao said. His voice shook. If he had known before, he would have forced Qin Zuijia to take the appearance sealing pill and he would take one as well. But he had been in turmoil since he went out of their home.

"No need to worry." Bai Chenle replied as if unconcerned. "I'll set an inn for you to stay and come back tomorrow with a new identity. Choose a name so I would know that it is you guys."

Wei Xiao turned to Qin Zuijia. Qin Zuijia saw his gaze and felt that he had been given a great mission. He opened his mouth, but before he could say what he wanted to say, the doors of the room slammed open and a youth with petite stature ran inside.

"Let me name them!" The youth said with a shaky voice. His brows were furrowed and he was huffing and puffing. He seemed frightened.

Bai Chanle looked at the youth. "Ah-Yu where have you been?"

"I can't tell the teacher about it, but I beg you, let me name them." The youth kowtowed to his master.

Bai Chenle laughed and turned to Qin Zuijia. "I apologise to the young masters, this is my disciple Fu Yu, I just took him in yesterday."

"And I am very thankful to the Master for doing so!" Fu Yu stood up. "But please let me name them." He cried. His eyes shook, unfocused.

Bai Chenle sighed. "Would that be alright, young master?"

Wei Xiao nodded, unconcerned. Qin Zuijia nodded, but felt bitterness in his heart.
