After returning from the Potion Club meeting at Hogwarts, Adrian, despite having written detailed letters to Mustafa Kama, the French Ministry of Magic, and the Daily Prophet, decided not to delve deeper into the murky situation involving the Lestrange and Kama families. At Mr. Caldwell's birthday celebration, he had been informed that, after 4-5 months, when Mr. Caldwell achieved recognition as a Grandmaster Potioneer, he would assist Adrian in the official process of becoming a Master Potioneer. With this timeline in mind, Adrian aimed to achieve the status of Master Potioneer by the following February.

To accomplish this goal, he needed to demonstrate his development without revealing his peak power, minimizing any burden on Mr. Caldwell while avoiding suspicion and jealousy from others. Consequently, he refrained from visiting Portsmouth in the last few days, reserving the Halloween vacation for a peaceful visit.

On the morning of October 14th, a shocking event reverberated through the wizarding world of the British Isles. News broke that the previous night, the entire Lestrange family had been brutally annihilated by an unknown force. The 13th had marked the birthday banquet of Lord Lestrange, the head of the Ancient Noble house of Lestrange and a notorious blood supremacist.

Lord Lestrange was infamous for his cruelty, even towards his own family members and attendance at functions in his honor was mandatory until death for the family members. On the night in question, all members of the Lestrange family gathered from various parts of the world to celebrate the occasion.

As the banquet neared its conclusion, a group of 20-30 wizards, donned in black robes and masks with Animagus abilities, stormed the Lestrange manor, sparking a fierce confrontation. Despite being caught off guard, the Lestrange family initially held their own against the invaders. However, the situation took a dark turn when an additional 10 highly powerful wizards entered the fray, resulting in the tragic demise of all family members, including children who were not spared.

Most suspiciously, the British Ministry refrained from intervening in the attack on the Lestrange family, allowing the assailants to depart leisurely. This raised significant questions and fueled a sense of unease across the British Isles. The destruction of an ancient noble house, especially under such horrifying circumstances, sent shockwaves throughout the wizarding community.

As panic spread, numerous individuals began searching for answers as to why the Ministry failed to act during the attack. The absence of any response from the ministry intensified the mystery surrounding the incident. Many speculated that the Lestrange family might have provoked forces that even the ministry feared, leading to their destruction.

Corvus Lestrange, the son of Lord Lestrange, attended a private banquet at Kama Manor in France. The event was organized to honor a business deal between the Kama family and the Lestrange family, who had a prior relationship.

Unbeknownst to Mr. Mustafa Kama, Corvus used the Imperius and Cruciatus spells on him, attempting to force himself upon Mrs. Kama and enchanting her against her will. Fortunately, Mr. Kama managed to break the curse, leading to a duel between him and Corvus. In the course of the confrontation, Corvus fled, triggering an explosion in a nearby Muggle settlement. This explosion resulted in the deaths of 15 Muggles and 2 hit wizards from the French Ministry's quick response team, who were pursuing Corvus.

While both the Lestrange and Kama families were ancient noble houses with powerful heritage and significant influence, the magnitude of this incident was substantial. The Kama family, originally holding sway over much of Africa, possessed powerful backers and partners, adding to their influence. The repercussions of this event sent shockwaves through both the French and British wizarding communities.

Furthermore, Mr. Kama held the esteemed positions of Head of the International Relations Office at the French Ministry of Magic and Member of the French Wizengamot. Additionally, his grandmother, Vivianne Kama, is a renowned alchemist and a personal disciple of Penelope Flamel, the wife of the greatest alchemist of the millennium, Nicholas Flamel.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, among the Muggles who perished were two members of the British Royal family, along with several members of other ruling royal families across Europe. Upon learning of this tragedy and receiving confirmation of their deaths in a wizarding attack, these royal families exerted immense pressure on the British Ministry of Magic to take decisive action – to retaliate and destroy the responsible party entirely.

Initially, the Ministry dismissed these demands as frivolous, considering them disproportionate to what they deemed a mere "petty crime." At most, they contemplated imprisoning Corvus and sending him to Azkaban. However, they underestimated the combined influence of the most powerful alchemist, influential families in Africa, the formidable stance of the French Ministry, and the vengeful resolve of multiple royal families.

In the face of a severe threat, with the prospect of a joint attack from both the Muggle and magical worlds' influential figures, the Ministry of Magic succumbed to the pressure and decided to disband the Lestrange family. In a swift move, the Kama family organized a group of 20 powerful wizards, all of Archmage caliber, while other concerned parties enlisted an additional 10 Archmages along with another 10 Adept Archmages to ensure the permanent eradication of the Lestrange family.

Upon learning of these events through the news, Adrian was astounded by the incredible power wielded by these ancient noble families. He also comprehended the reasons behind the slight delay in taking action, as noble families couldn't act against each other without concrete proof. The incident occurred after Adrian had sent the information, causing a delay in executing decisive measures.

However, this incident also taught him not to become an enemy of these influential families until he gained enough power to withstand their pressure. Adrian hadn't anticipated that a simple letter from him, intended to create a slight disturbance in the Lestrange family, would lead to the entire family's nightmare.

Reflecting on the situation, he consoled himself by placing the blame on Rudolph. Had Rudolph not provoked him, Adrian might have forgotten about his future knowledge and refrained from sharing it. In that case, the entire Lestrange family could have remained alive. Therefore, Adrian reasoned that the Lestrange family should place the blame on Rudolph, as it had nothing to do with him.

Although yesterday's news taught Adrian a grave lesson to not underestimate the wizarding world and keep a low profile unless powerful, he did what he is best at. He just forgot about the incident and started to get ready for his work.
