If a player found out that they were lucky, they would recommend themselves to a major guild. Once their luck was verified, they would always be part of the raids and dungeons even if they were an incompetent player.

Many players that were very lucky would set terms and conditions before joining the guild, such as receiving first priority on an item of their class or rare items and mounts.

There were different tiers of lucky players and Hachi Chan was definitely up there.
