REFORGING THE STAFF
The two of them had never been in a school tournament before,so they wondered how it worked.What they did know was that this will be a friendly battle between the students in the school for a price.
Hellen and Wendy quickly ran back to class so that they wouldn't miss the news. On entering, Eugene smiled at them as he gestured that they should sit down and join the others. "A good thing that you two have returned before I even started. So,what I need to tell you is that next week,that is,three days away, a school tournament will be held at the centre of the academy."
"There will be nothing like first years, second,third,and fourth years here. All of you will be regarded as one. You will be requested to form a team of six members and have a title for your team. When rewarding the winners,the whole team will be rewarded even if it was only one member who contributed to the victory. Your skills will be the ones to help you win this,so for your information,the rest of the three days there will be no learning as you will be preparing for it,and that begins now. You are free to leave."
The students cheered when they heard this. Eugene didn't understand if they were cheering because of the tournament,or they were cheering that they won't learn for three consecutive days.
"Aah, Wendy."Hellen tagged Wendy on her sleeve as they left the hall door and walked down the hallway towards the stairs."We sure are needed in a team of six,which on our side,we have,Krad,Caleb,Maya,you and me. That's five,what about the sixth?"
"Well, we'll have to look for someone."Wendy said as she shrugged her shoulders.
"Oh no you don't."Hellen replied in protest."The last time you brought someone in the group,she ended up abandoning us and robbing us. Who was that bitch again, Kate!F*ck her!"
"Wo wo easy there,no one knew how she was like."Wendy tried to defend herself.
"So I believe that we should leave this one for Krad."Hellen said as they already descended the stair and walked out of the building. "So where do you think the boys are?"Wendy asked. It didn't take them long enough to find both Krad and Caleb.
"Where are you going boys?"Hellen asked as she raffled Caleb's hair who knocked her hand away."Am not a kid!"He whispered.Hellen was one head taller than Caleb ."We were actually coming to see you two, it's about the sixth member of our team.Do you guys have any idea?."Caleb said.
"If it's about Wendy searching for that sixth person,then no." Hellen said."Don't you guys remember what that Kate bitch did to us?Oouh when I get my hands on her,am going to squiz her useless brains out through her nose holes. That makes me wonder if she even has a brain!"She was surely annoyed by this.
"Of all times,girl,this is when you get angry at her."Caleb scorned. Hellen went to scratch his head again but this time he moved out of the way."Hey watch it big girl."
"Are you guys forgetting someone?"Krad asked. The others brainstormed trying to remember who it might be. Seeing this,Krad slapped his forehead and shaking his head."Lenny!"He yelled."Lenny is one of us for goodness sake,oh come on!"
They felt very bad. How could they forget someone who was one of them in this journey. Was it because he wasn't a fighter,but just a forger?"Sorry Krad,am shamed of myself."Caleb said."Us too."The two girls replied.
"Anyway, where's Maya?"Krad asked. Just then,the person in question appeared,and by her side was Lenny.'When did she go to the third years'building?'Hellen wondered.
"I knew that we would need to rejoin all of us,and luckily we are already and exactly six members."Maya said, pushing her red hair to the back."That's good Maya."Krad said. Wendy hid her face as she was boiling up with anger and jealousy but did not want to show, because they were now a team.
"So guys."Caleb almost yelled."The title of our team will be,the SMASHERS!"
Everyone's face dropped."Really?"Hellen blurted out."That's the best shot you could give?"
"Nice try."Wendy said.
"Yeah nice try."Maya said.
Lenny quickly hid his face in the fear of being smirked hard by Caleb if he dared to comment.
"Am thinking more of,the alliance."Krad said, easing the situation."It refers to our different races coming together.Me,a megahuman, Caleb,a werewolf, Wendy,a half vampire,Hellen,a vampire,Maya,a succubus and Lenny,a dragon"
"Okay, let's go on for today's training then."Caleb said." I would like to see what kind of power you now have Wendy."
"Before that,Lenny,is there a way that you can reforge a beast item to something else,more of a weapon?"Wendy asked in high hopes.
"Well,my unique skills allow me to reforge an item without it loosing it's quality and. attributes. Cool right?No other forger is capable of this"Lenny replied.
"I would like to reforge my staff into something else. My new powers don't require me to either use a wand nor a staff."Wendy said as she took out the long yellow staff and gave it to Lenny.
"Anyway guys,I also need to go and forge something for myself,you know,for the tournament."Lenny said as he hit the road to the third year building.
The others went near the east wall where it had become their favourite spot to train. The clash had began,Hellen and Krad,Maya and Caleb, leaving Wendy with no one to fight with."Okay,I need to find a way to attack them all—Holy sh*t!"She quickly bent backwards avoiding a stray blood swipe that came from where Hellen and Krad were fighting.
"Okay, let's do this!"She thought as she closed her eyes.Dark smoke formed around her and started to swirl in a condensed form around her,more like a vortex. The smoke gathered a lot, simply pushing the dirt and dust away by its powerful rotations around Wendy. When she suddenly opened her eyes,the dark smoke burst to all sides while rotating as if it was becoming bigger. It hit everyone and for some reasons,they couldn't use their powers.
Wendy quickly transformed to her true vampire form and went straight to Hellen giving her a kick in the stomach sending her flying,then punched Krad upwards on the chin also sending him flying. Each time she would hit someone, there would be a burst of red aura on impact. With no time she had defeated everyone.
"What on Earth just happened."Caleb blurted out as he was recovering from the hit he had received on his left ribs side."Were you always this strong?"
After all of them fully recovered, they gathered close to the wall. Hellen needed to explain something. "What was that!?"Maya asked in astonishment.
"Dark magic."Hellen said. Of course,the others had heard of this,but never seen what it could do."Dark magic is a form of evil magic that. would drive someone mad,and later turn them to zombies."
"Waaaiit whaaat."Caleb asked as he pushed away from Wendy since he was the closest to her."Is she a zombie now?"
"No, let's just hope that won't happen so soon. Though this is the strongest magic ever known. I don't know if this is common to all dark magic users,but this kind of magic ability would make you the strongest Wendy. Whatever you did back there, definitely blocked all of our powers."Hellen said."But Wendy,you should avoid running out of mana,there have been rumours that,when a dark magic user would run out of mana,the power would automatically absorb any life energy nearby in order to recover quickly."
"I was afraid that this power wasn't a good sign."Krad said." But. don't worry Wendy,I promise that I will find a way to fix all this. Am not going to let one of us get hurt or turn into those brainless zombies."

Back on Earth, inside a grand castle in a grand hallway where the inner walls were smeared with gold,all the knights in silvery armour were bowing down in two rows. All the way from the exit,to the grand doors leading to the majestic throne. Walking between the rows towards the doors,were two men.
One of them wore red robes with golden trims on it. On his bald head was a crown purely made from gold and decorated with gems. He had a long white beard that he kept on stroking with his hand. This was the emperor.
The other one was his right-hand man,Wizzle Kamu. He had short black hair and a perfectly shaved black beard. He wore simple white robes with red trims on it.
"Wizzle,am afraid that I won't be able to go on that tournament on Mars. Do you mind helping me,and go there to represent me."The emperor asked. They had already reached the grand doors as they were pushed open by two knights,and inside,it was grand than any other room in the empire. A long and wide red carpet led to the grand throne chair, that was completely made of gold and silver,and decorated with gems. On the sides were large windows that lit the whole throne room with the golden evening light from the sun.
"Your wish is my command your highness."Wizzle replied. He felt a tingling sensation on his right palm,but just kept both his hand inside the robes, as he knew what it was.'There is a new disciple that I've selected on Mars.Once you get there,you will be able to sense her. I want you to take her and put her in the dark army immediately.'A voce said in his head.
'Yes boss.'He thought, replying to the voice.
