CHAPTER 50 MISSION SPREE

The remains of the bull were a pile of squashed meat. It was very gruesome. A blast assault earlier destroyed every part of the bull's body.

Shadow let Blast rest for half an hour before teleporting him back. Shadow then returned to Belli Town and told the town chief that the bull had become mincemeat. He then told the location of the bull's carcass. He then teleported Scarlet and Vixen to the cave. Vixen was probably nostalgic about the place, so Shadow and Scarlet stayed there for a week before returning to the city.

Shadow ordered Scarlet to relax for now while he let the others take missions of their calibre and complete them. After staying in the city for weeks, the newbies that Shadow brought back with him completely became accustomed to the life of a mercenary.

Shadow also started adopting orphans and buying slaves in the city; he brought some of the slaves and orphans back to Eligan Town while the rest became mercenaries.

A month later, the Shadow Conqueror Gang in Sunshine City became one of the overlords in the area, even though there were not many A-Rank mercenaries on the gang. Their reputation still soared, with Shadow being very powerful and never having a failure on his mission, while his handsome appearance and the event of buying slaves and adopting orphans became famous.

The members that joined the gang became wealthy and strong, while the slaves and orphans were given strength and a home to call their own. The gang also helped the surrounding people in their residence; they became the sources of beliefs and kindness. In one month of strengthening the gang, the number of members has grown to at least 300.

Shadow has now levelled up to the TRANSCENDING GOLD LEVEL, while Scarlet has also levelled up to the BRONZE LEVEL. She signed the beast contract with Red.

Shadow also took another disciple, whose name is Mira. She has a talent for spirit-based attacks, so Shadow let Vixen train her. She also has telekinetic ability and can control needles to attack her foe.

Shadow forces became a little bit too popular that the major forces in the city, including the city lord's, were now watching it seriously. They even sent representatives to show that they wanted an amicable relationship.

Shadow was so busy with everything that he did not have a chance to return to Eligan Town.

In the conqueror gang headquarters, Shadow was sitting in the study room reading all the reports that came from his members their conduct and strength. After finishing with all the paperwork, Shadow then called Scarlet and Mira over.

Mira and Scarlet came, and the first thing they did was greet their master, who then asked why they were called.

"The two of you will be coming with me. I will be going on a mission spree. I will also train the both of you during the event. We are also going to search for a suitable partner for Mira."

Shadow then goes to the Mercenary Guild to pick suitable missions for the three of them. After looking for a long time, he finds six missions that take place in convenient locations for each other.

Shadow then let the two girls prepare themselves and told them to go to the fox cave after finishing. He then teleported back to Eligan Town, where he was planning to bring Thunder with him, as well as Glutton and some of his wolf subordinates to train.

After assembling everyone, Shadow teleported them near the fox cave. Scarlet and Mira were already there, waiting.

Shadow then let Thunder fly into the clouds to hide itself. Shadow then brought everyone to their first destination, Florges Town.

After arriving there, he saw many mercenaries lazing about; it seemed like the hyenas still hadn't arrived. He then saw some townspeople bringing their weapons, showing resolute looks.

Shadow then lets out a cough to get everyone's attention.

"Hello fellow mercenaries and the townspeople of Florges Town, let me introduce myself. I am Shadow, the leader of the conqueror gang. I am here to accept the mission to defend the town of Disease Hyenas. I will be guarding in the forest with my team, so don't worry much; we will do our best."

When Shadow finished announcing, the surrounding mercenaries looked at him agitatedly. Their eyes contained worship. It seems his fame was very well known by the mercenaries. The townspeople, however, were clueless as to who Shadow was.

Shadow then brought everyone on his team near the forest. The mercenaries broke out into cheers when they found out that Shadow was joining in the mission.

"Hahaha, this mission is no longer a suicide mission. With Shadow-san guarding the first line of defence, we will definitely win." The other mercenaries also started cheering and laughing together. One of the townspeople approached the mercenaries and asked

"Excuse me, may I inquire who Shadow is?" When the question was asked, all the mercenaries looked at the person with disdain.

"Fck, you don't even know who Lord Shadow is."

"Yes, Lord Shadow was the strongest mercenary there is."

The others also added and told Shadow's fame and reputation.

While everyone in the town was discussing Shadow, he was in the forest, telling everyone on his team the plan.

"Glutton, I want you to lead your pack and kill as many Disease Hyenas as you can, but beware, the Disease Hyenas are very poisonous, so don't eat that much. You should operate your qi to detoxify yourselves before eating again."

"Scarlet, I want you to be the vanguard and protect Mira, while Mira, I want you to support Scarlet and kill as much as you two can."

"Vixen, I want you to target the leader of this hyena. I want to obtain another den orb."

"Thunder, I want you to protect Red. For now, you don't need to join the killing spree; it is just a waste of your time."

"Everybody understood the plan?" everyone nodded

"Then let's start the massacre."
