After school, Lakin and I got stuck helping at the bakery. I prefer to spend time with my girlfriend. Dad thought kissing and making out with your girlfriend wasn’t productive. I disagree.

I was helping in the kitchen while Lakin watched the counter and waited on customers. Kaiden and Kain stopped by the bakery.

/"Hey, tools,/" she told our cousins.

/"Hey, twit. Where’s Junior?/" Kain asked her.

/"Where else? He’s in the back./" She motioned to the kitchen area.

They walked into the back, and Kaiden said, /"Yo, Betty Crocker!/"

/"Do you have a purpose in life, or are you coasting by hoping something important happens to you?/" I asked, carrying out a tray of bread.

/"Well, someone is touchy. Is Piper not giving you any loving?/" Kain asked.

I gave him a look. /"Why does sex always have to be a thing with you?/"

/"Because I’m a teen guy who’s horny. What’s your excuse?/"
