The next day, there was a knock on the door. I answered it to find Nate, Pat, his brothers, and their wives standing there. They walked inside.

Nate and Pat hugged me. Nate saw the ring. /"Well, the wedding is still on./"

/"It almost wasn’t since baby girl gave me my ring back,/" Nash said as he walked up and gave Nate and Pat a hug. /"What are you doing here?/"

/"Carson called and told me what happened. He said Ma came to visit, and Becca ignored her warning,/" Cayson said.

/"Does this girl have a death wish?/" Jonas asked.

/"She has something,/" Nixon said while walking up and hugging everyone.

/"Well, we’ll see our boys, then we’ll be back,/" Dominique said. She and Cayson left.

/"How bad is it, Dad?/" Nash asked Nate.

/"It’s bad. Cayson said Carson told him that Cody is a mess,/" Nate said.
