Suddenly Diplomatic Mission

Escorting the three friendly Vanguards to the Bunker, I looked at Myriad as we walked. The canine looked back at me while occasionally looking in certain directions as we silently talked to each other. Eventually we arrived and as soon as Shaxx was identified the Warminds deposited a new shiny six barreled shotgun with blades to the side of the barrels, which had barrel choke modifications to keep the blades safe. It even had a nice little bow and note saying "Merry Christmas" because it was Christmas.

How did I know? Why internal clock and because of the Warminds. We may be mass murdering machines of war but we do celebrate stuff to take the edge off. I mean all work and no play makes you dull and predictable. So gotta have some fun in your life or you'll die like a bitch! Myriad seemed to guess my thoughts as the canine chuckled. Looking towards a set of doors I stopped and proceeded with a very random code of movements, noises, words, and death threats. Grave's AI persona form popping up briefly before unlocking the doors.

Was that needed? No, but in a way yes it was as it helps identify our people from imposter's and turn coats. Only those still fighting the good fight and not being a fake or rogue element have let's say "Identity Marking System Codes" or IMSC for short. Shaxx has that hammer and cloak always on him and it automatically samples his soul occasionally and if there's something off. He'd have died the moment Rasputin detected him on Neptune. Permanently.

"So Vanguard, did you know something interesting? We're dead things modeled after dead people, however snuff your light out and you disappear permanently. Us? We got the Darkness to constantly revive us even if our Phantom were to die. As while we are dead we aren't truly dead, sure a part of us. However, due to being gray we can't be truly dead, the TRUE void always means we are partially alive.

It's why we still have warm bodies and require things truly unlike you all or the Deserter's. We still have mortal ties even if we died once before we have a chance to permanently live once more after the war. Just you and the Deserter's will always be…. Manifestations of the people you once were. Before you ask, the Darkness isn't the TRUE void, the TRUE void is something even it fears for everything dies and greets it eventually. The Deserter's are the ones who follow the Darkness as its version of the Guardians."

My words may have seemed so random but there's a reason for saying such things. While the Guardians were stumped I didn't elaborate further as I just basically shoved new concepts down their throats. Before we came to a stop in front of a few EXO Fallen bodies that had six arms instead of four. Each body had an EXO animal beside it matching certain themes of where the bodies are.

Turning to face the Vanguard Guardians I stared at them emotionlessly. My voice devoid of any emotion.

"You came here for peace but if you want that then you must be willing to make some decisions. As we will not bow and wag our tails like a bunch of mutts, WE ARE THE FORSAKEN VANGUARD. We are the executioner's and protectors of all under our mutilated wings.

You want us? Then you three will speak for the entire Vanguard and make choices NOW. So call your Speaker, call every Guardian if you must but you three are the only ones we shall deal with on this matter. So surprise you're now diplomats, impress us Ikora the Warlock, Shaxx the Titan, and Cayde-01 the Hunter."

Cayde looked hackled at me knowing. In a brief time period he became different but virtually the same as the previous Cayde. How did I know? There were signs of someone messing with his memory banks almost as if they did so while he slept. Can't trust even EXO's so there are hidden diagnostic scanners.
