The Plan 3

With Mors's eyes glued to the monster, Genn decided it was best to break the spell over Mors, realizing that he was too focused on the monster. It wasn't technically bad to be focused on the main threat in the environment. Still, you also have to put some focus on the environment itself. Mors seemed to be struggling to be in his correct mindset, most likely caused by the recent awakening.

Sighing, Genn quickly shouted to Mors, "HEY!"

As Mors heard that, he became shocked almost to the point of jumping out of the bush. He was so focused on the monster he didn't remember nor care about the looming ghost of Genn behind him. Becoming slightly irritated, Mors whispered, "What?"

But in a moment, all of Mors's original irritation and rage left him as he was stuck sitting here now, listening to the troll hitting everything in sight. Mors then strangely became saddened as he thought about what others must face through this.

But Genn, ignorant of Mors's new chaotic emotions, found Mors more… aware. So in relief, he told Mors, "Thankfully, you were able to focus yourself; others sometimes get stuck and jump out at any monster nearby… A worrying side effect. Anyway, the troll will be able to find us soon, so there is one more thing you have to do."

Crouching down in front of Mors, Genn continued, "You need to take that leaf and touch it to the green sap on the troll. That will cause a massive reaction and buy you a lot of time. Enough for the necessary people to arrive."

Taking over his saddened feelings, natural relief poured over him as he realized that this was almost over. Even though this was an eye-opening experience, he never wanted to be in this circumstance again. So taking a deep breath of relief, Mors quickly started to watch the monster again, but this time he remembered not to get stuck in.

Waiting for the gigantic mass of fat and muscle to get out the feelings it had, Mors watched as he looked for a chance to apply the little leaf to the ginormous monster. Then an opportunity appeared before Mors's eyes.

As the monster stopped its tantrum before climbing up to the top of the trail again. So holding his breath and keeping the building anxiety back, Mors exited his bush. Keeping his body as low as he could, he thanked the crosswind since it kept him hidden. Then, keeping his body as close to the cold grass as possible, he silently moved up to the monster.

Crossing small stones and avoiding small sticks that would have gotten him killed, Mors quickly arrived close to the trail. So looking up again, he checked to see if he could reach the hill troll from where he was. And to his horror, it was just a bit out of reach.

Ok, it might be wrong to say a bit out of reach. Mors would have to sneak up the trail side to get to the troll. So he quickly looked for anything, like a ghost or distraction, that he could use to allow him to put this darn leaf of the troll. But finding nothing too near him, Mors decided it was best to just slap on the leaf and run.

So taking a deep breath and taking into consideration his old legs, he jumped up to the trail. Using what speed he could muster in his awakened old body, he found an area with the green goal. But as he was moving, he could hear the troll become slightly flustered at this bold prey. So with the crushing deep fear in his heart, Mors quickly slapped the little leaf onto the green sap.

The result…

*BOOOM*

As Mors was quickly launched back from what seemed like an explosion. But this was no ordinary explosion. It looked like one of the fireworks of the town that they used in celebrations. Colorful wisps of something blasted off from the screaming troll as it raced itself into the forest, looking for shelter. But the chaos stuck to the despairful hill troll as it screamed into the forest.

The wind seemed to kick up as almost visible wind blades traveled after the troll following it. But before one of the wind blades left, Genn's voice spoke out, "Go hide in the bush you were just in. The monster will now not be able to find you."

As Mors went to hide and stay quiet, Genn decided to play a little game with the troll. When he was in the graveyard, he had heard from the other ghosts that they were able to slightly manipulate elements. It was like the elements could finally hear them. So with some joy in his heart, Genn decided to test this claim.

Diving into the forest, he could practically hear the chaotic elements fighting with one another on the trolls hid. So after catching up to the evil troll, Genn quickly asked out to the elements, "Haste!"

Then with a great wind, all the pretty colors decorating the troll's back went insane as they smeared themselves into something new. As this happened, Genn felt absolutely fantastic. It was a completely euphoric feeling inside of him that was quickly interrupted by quick wind blades.

And before he could even complain, a deep voice commanded, "Seise this instant. All we were worried about was getting Mors to safely at this moment… We don't need to amplify the torture of the hill troll. So calm the hell down, adventure! We have more pressing matters as of this moment."

Hearing the annoying voice of Sir knows-alot, Genn was brought back to boring reality. So while they watched over the troll to make sure it didn't head straight for Mors, Genn returned back to the old man. As he traveled through the trees and ground, he started to become concerned for his sister. She always loved the forest… she would have loved it out here….

Back to the quiet Mors, he happily returned to his amazing hiding bush. He had faced a monster and won! Even though it technically wasn't killed or anything, he still counted it as a personal win. As he quietly walked back with joy in his heart, Mors found the sharp stone again that Genn picked out to narrate a story. Seeing it, Mors quickly grabbed it since maybe now Genn could tell the story.

So finally arriving at the bush and hearing the rapid snapping of trees on the other side, Mors hid again until he heard something else. And after a few minutes, he heard something unique in the distance.

It was like the sharp clashing of metal and also some distant shouts. It was hard to hear over the aggressive tree snapping coming from the running troll. And before Mors could even peep his head out of the bush to check, Genn quickly appeared and quickly informed Mors, "That is the patrol party, and they will hopefully take care of the troll now… Just wait for a bit to appear and tell them you hid here the entire time… Let me warn you… DO NOT inform them that you have awoken…."

Becoming confused, Mors quickly asked, "Why? Isn't it amazing to awaken?"

Avoiding the topic, Genn replied, "You don't have to worry for right now… just don't tell them, or a lot of bad things will happen… Act like a regular old guy, please"

Sighing, Mors quickly nodded to stop the freaking out ghost. Maybe on the outside, it didn't really seem that Genn was freaking out, but Mors got a feeling that on the inside, he was. So taking a breath, Mors quickly looked out of the bushes to the main trail.

And standing there was a group of 4 heroes standing under the moonlight majestically. With their weapons drawn like in those old-time plays, Mors watched as a child. Well, maybe more than just as a child, and more like every time he could. Standing in simmering silver armor that was a grade above the last hero's armor, they stood listening to presumedly the beast.

Then they dashed into the chaotic side of the forest out of the sight of Mors. Excited, Mors quickly jumped out of his bush to go see the fight. Racing up, he was met by an unexpected shape stopping him as Genn had fully materialized before him. Seeing Genn in front of him, Mors innocently asked, "What's wrong?"

To which Genn replied, "Wait here… You can watch from a distance."

Again asking, "What's wrong?" Mors became concerned since he didn't see anything wrong with him going to watch.

And again, getting the response, "Wait here… You can watch it from this distance."

Becoming irritated, Mors decided to follow what Genn said since he was more knowledgeable about this… but he would get back at him… Somehow.

And after a few minutes of screams, 3 figures exited the woods.

I am going to try being on a daily schedule now... Hopefully

Have a great day!
