Waiting To Be Called

Just as Aaron was about to take the lady in for her make over session, another lady walked in. She looked elegant as well. She had a nice smile gracing her lips and her eyes sparkled with life. She greeted everyone in the beauty parlour.

“Hey Aaron buddy! Is she here yet? I told her I was coming”. The lady said. She acted out her part effortlessly like a natural. Before Aaron could reply, Lanre already came out. On seeing the lady Lanre smiled at her. Lanre told her to follow her. Then she asked Aaron to take care of the other lady who first came himself.

“That’s not happening! I came before her”. The first lady yelled.

“Cut!” The director said. He looked excited.

“You all are doing a great job. For one moment, I thought I was watching a reality show that’s not scripted. Let’s take a five minutes break”. The director said to them. Everyone decided to relax.

“Sir, most we shoot the entire scene for this very act today? I have something important to do”. Lanre said to the director when she finally got the chance to speak with him. He asked her if she wanted them to complete the shoot for this scene the next day or probably another day since she was also business and has her clients to attend to.

“It’s okay! Let us just do it today”. Lanre said. She went inside her office. She puts a call through to Christian.

“I don’t think we will be done shooting before 12 noon. Can we meet in the evening instead?” Lanre asked Christian when he finally picked up.

“It is no problem. Beside, I just wanted to see you. It’s been a while. As for the lawyer, I already took care of him. He will be in charge of all your legal transactions”. Christian said to her.

“I wanted a female lawyer though, but it is still not bad having a male lawyer. I still want to meet him. I want to do something important for which I will be needing a lawyer. Can he make it by 4 pm?” Lanre asked. Christian told her he would try to make it possible. And then they ended the call.

Lanre had asked Christian to look for a lawyer she could be working with. She asked him to make sure it was a trustworthy lawyer. And for that, she and Christian were supposed to meet with the lawyer after the shoot, but it seems he already settled things for her. Christian has been efficient as well as effective for her. She sometimes wonder what she would have done without him. The last time he was at her place, she was suffering from cramps, and he helped her. If she thinks about the week she suffered that painful cramp, she just want to curse cause she did not even get to see her period as she thought.

She puts her phone into her bag and relaxed into the chair waiting to be called.
