The Devil In Your Relationship

K could not answer Lanre. He still could not tell what Anita’s intentions were. He looked at Lanre for a while before taking his eyes off her. He told her he was leaving before turning around to do exactly what he said. Lanre asked him where he was going to not wanting him to leave.

“The reason why you are here is because Anita blackmailed me to make you stay. I do not know her aim, but I’ve done my part. I gave you a massage and cook for you as well. I do hope you help me as well. I hope you do not spend tomorrow’s night here as well. Please let’s start making things easy for ourselves”. K said to her.

“What are you saying? I do not even understand a word of everything you just said. Is this your way of making things easier?” Lanre found herself yelling at the end. He shook his head and then he explained to her that he has come to realise that he has been doing the wrong things from when he got to make Anita lure Lanre to Abuja, to when he took her to his house to the point he proposed and got rejected and then taking it out on her by accepting his parents wish and stating before the general public he would marry Ify.

“I do not intend to make matters worst. You already have a problem with your friend. I should not even have same with my friend. I do not understand your relationship with Anita or Gozie, but if you care about Chris even one bit, you will leave this place tomorrow. He should not even found out you were here. And stop trying to pick fights with Ify”. K said to Lanre. Lanre thought just like he always does after she gets to relax with him, he has used his words to pierce her heart. She stops him from leaving the room.

“Why leave your room for a stranger Mr. Kehinde Adewale? Tomorrow is too far, I will grant your wish right now”. Lanre said. She stood up from the bed and went on to carry her luggage. She puts a call through to Tega her driver.

“Come to the place you dropped me. You will find me on the street”. Lanre said before hanging up. It was a good thing Tega was still awake.

Now I’m sorry to tell you but not sorry to announce that I will be the devil in your relationship, not just with Ify but with every other lady you will ever want to mingle with. I will make sure whether you love her or not, she ends up leaving you”. Lanre said before walking away with her luggage in her hand. K wanted to stop her because it was night and she may get into danger outside. But he had to refrain himself lest they end up making a scene.
