"Baby it's not what it looks like. I would never torture her in front of you." Alex whispered to me. He was lying. He had to be. "Why are they all here?" I emphasized by pointing at all The dark gods in here. "They are all on the board. Some are here to help but most are here because we have a mandatory meeting right now." Alex stated right as his father started talking.
"I would like to apologize for the last minute notice for this mandatory meeting but it has come to our attention that Sasha The Goddess of everlasting love has broken the law." Arthur declared. The whole dining hall was silent now besides Sasha's sobs. What did they do to her? Alex obviously lied to me. "I want to apologize for Sasha's outbursts right now but Misera The Goddess of misery, anxiety, grief and depression was just telling her what I'm about to explain." Arthur stated right as he silenced Sasha.
Sasha was still sobbing but it was all silent. She looked horrible. Her eyes were red and puffy and snot was running down her face. If it wasn't for the snot that was going in her mouth, I would've never noticed the magical restraints. I did this to her. Guilt was taking ahold of me fast. Sasha started to sob even more. No one was helping or even giving her a second glance. "Pay attention." Alex ordered. With one last look I turnt my attention back to Arthur.
"So I'm sorry that I had to be the bearer of bad news. I know that this seems extreme but all members were warned. Alex is a high king and to force love onto him is automatic death, not to mention she took away the love that Mazaya had for Alex. There's a blood oath that all members have taken so there's nothing we can do about it. Sasha knew the consequences and her execution is inevitable and."
"No. You lied." I screamed interrupting Arthur from the crap he was spewing. I pushed away from Alex and stood up. If it wasn't for my belly hitting the table I would've forgotten I was pregnant. "Mazaya." Alex tried to reason but I wasn't trying to hear his lies. I had to get away from him. I moved the best I could pushing his hands off of me. I was finally far enough away to think.
"No you agreed no execution as long as I allowed Sasha to put the love back into me. I did it and now you are saying it was for nothing." I cried out to Alex. "Baby my hands are tied." Alex softly said. The love I had for Alex was fighting my thoughts. He was wrong though. He lied. He lied. "You are the high king. You did lie and your hands are not tied." I screamed now.
"Actually Alex is no longer the High king because you divorced him. High kings are required to have a queen. So he has no say in it. I'm sorry Mazaya but I can't fullfil his promise." Arthur declared causing me to sob. "You tricked me." I said as I backed up. "Baby." Alex tried coaxing me but I wasn't listening. I still had hate in me for him. I just had to latch onto it.
"I'm done. You are nothing to me anymore." I lied. Even saying that felt like poison on my tongue. The hate in me wasn't enough. I looked over at Sasha who was freaking out and that was. "I want to leave now. I want nothing to do with any of you." I screamed. I looked around at all the dark Gods and I knew what this was. They were here to torture her before she died.
I looked back at Alex. It seemed like he had said something but my mind was only half here now. "I'm done. I want to leave now. I will not stand here with the likes of any of you." I declared. Alex stepped forward and I stepped back." Stay away from me." I said as I put my hand up as a way to block him. It seemed to do the job. "Baby just listen." He sweetly said he was pleading but I couldn't listen.
The love was eating away at my resolve slowly. "I want to leave now." I rushed out. I knew he could convince me to stay and If they would still kill her I was gone. The door behind me made a clicking noise. I looked back to the door cracked open. They were letting me go. I turnt to leave. "If you leave out of here, Sasha is dead. Think of the consequences of leaving. You can convince him not to kill her." Zavier called out as I was pulling the door open. I looked back. Did he see the future.
"I had a vision if that's what you are wondering. But I have to warn you the moment you step out that door she dies." Zavier declared making me pause. Would they lie again? As I turnt back around Alex gave me a sexy smirk. I had to look away from him. "How do I know you aren't lying again?" I asked Zavier.
"If you sit down and negotiate with me. I think we could possibly come up with a agreement that would work for both of us." Arthur stated giving me alittle Hope. Arthur hadn't promised anything and his word was law. If he lies I would leave. No one could stop me or erase my memories again. "Okay." I softly said as I wiped the tears away from my eyes.
I could save her. "Come sit down." Alex ordered. I would not be sitting down. I didn't trust any of them. "Here." Zavier said with a chair in his hand. He looked awkward, he was just standing there holding out the chair. "Can I come by you without you trying to run away? I just want to put this chair by you so you can sit down." Zavier asked nicely. He was nice enough to ask and not order me around like Alex.
