It was another normal day I was sitting with my best friend talking and just relaxing. We enjoyed each other's company but that's when the high god had shown up.
"Ah, there you are my dearest Grace, can we talk in private for a bit my dear?" He asked. I nodded and had gotten up off the marble bench that me and my friend was sitting on.
I followed him to a small area where there was flowers and other plants blooming. I smiled a little bit but stopped smiling when he turned to look at me.
"Grace, my dearest Grace, you have a challenge to face ahead of yourself but you must chose wisely if you succeed in this challenge or shall fail this challenge you see long ago gods, goddess, humans, monster, and other creatures lived together but there were only a few people who controlled powers that was either a gift or a curse your gift my dearest Grace is of beauty and love but yet it is also of life you are going to the mortal realm and shall stay there until you help them with their quest," he said, his voice serious.
I was shocked. Me, going to the mortal realm? It was unheard of for a goddess like me to leave the divine realm behind. "What kind of challenge is this? And what is this quest I must help with?" I asked, hoping for more information.
The high god sighed. "I cannot tell you much more, Grace. But I can tell you that this quest is of utmost importance. The fate of both the mortal and divine realms rests on it."
I gulped nervously. The fate of both realms? That was a heavy burden to bear. "But why me? Why was I chosen for this task?"
The high god smiled, a small glimmer of amusement in his eyes. "Because, my dear Grace, you have a gift that is both rare and powerful. Your beauty and love can bring life to those around you. And in the mortal realm, they will need all the life and hope they can get."
I nodded slowly, beginning to understand. "I see. And what happens if I fail this challenge?"
The high god's expression turned grave. "If you fail, Grace, the consequences will be dire. The balance between the realms will be upset, and chaos will reign."
I shuddered at the thought. I couldn't let that happen. "I will do whatever it takes to succeed, high god. I won't let you down."
He nodded, looking pleased. "I knew I could count on you, Grace. Now, go prepare yourself. You leave for the mortal realm at dawn."
With that, he disappeared in a flash of light. I stood there, still in shock, wondering what kind of challenges lay ahead of me. But one thing was certain: I was ready to face them.
Once I was about to leave the high god had yet spoke again. "Grace my dear there is more once you leave you are to help those with the elemental powers and abilities but you shall also find your soulmate," as the high god spoke, my mind raced with questions and doubts.
Abandon my home in the divine realm? What about my duties and responsibilities here? And what did he mean by "elemental powers" and "soulmate"?
But as I looked into his eyes, I saw a glimmer of kindness and understanding that put me at ease. Maybe there was more to this challenge than I initially thought.
"Elemental powers and a soulmate?" I repeated, trying to wrap my head around the idea. "What does that have to do with helping the mortal realm?"
The high god's smile grew wider. "The mortal realm is facing a great threat, Grace. A darkness is spreading, threatening to consume everything in its path. But there is hope. There are mortals who possess elemental powers - the ability to control the elements of nature - and they are the key to defeating this darkness. Your task is to find and guide these mortals, to help them unlock their full potential and use their powers to save their world."
I nodded slowly, beginning to see the bigger picture. "And what about the soulmate part?"
The high god chuckled. "That, my dear Grace, is a reward for your service. You have been alone for far too long. It's time for you to find someone who will love and cherish you, someone who will be your equal and your partner."
I felt a warmth spread through my chest at the thought. It had been centuries since I had felt any kind of romantic love. Maybe it was time for a change.
"I understand, high god," I said, my voice steady. "I will do my best to fulfill this task and find my soulmate."
The high god nodded, his eyes twinkling with approval. "I have faith in you, Grace. Now go, prepare yourself for the journey ahead. Your destiny awaits."
With those words, he vanished in a flash of light, leaving me standing there in the garden, feeling both excited and apprehensive about what was to come.
