Chapter 5

"Can you let me go, Amy?" She clenches her fist as she speaks.

Amy closes her eyes as she hugs Vanessa.

"No," Amy insisted as her grip on Vanessa became too tight.

"I am sorry," she said while hugging Vanessa. "I didn't mean to do it."

Amy knew that no matter what she said, Vanessa wouldn't believe it.

"Could you please let me go? You have too strong of a grip on me."

Given the limited size of the room, Vanessa's statements reverberated across it. She uses the back of her hand to punch her in the stomach and butts her with her head. Amy had no choice but to let go.

Vanessa could only defend herself with her strength. Her power was temporarily lost.

"Ah," Amy said, gripping her stomach as she bent down.

"Why did you call me? Do you have anything important to say?" Her eyebrow furrowed.

What transpires with Amy is unimportant to her. She already hated Amy.

"I apologize. I didn't know everything would end up like that," she said, as she was trying to stand up.

"Did you hate my sister that much? I told you about that because I was looking for someone to vent to, but you went AHEAD to tell others," she said as she gritted her teeth.

Vanessa doesn't want to talk to Amy. She felt disgusted by Amy's actions.

Amy sighs and is able to stand up while holding her hand to her stomach. She knows she has hurt Vanessa and knows that no matter what she says, it might mean nothing to her, but she wanted to try.

"I thought you hated her. You normally complain about her." She said, confused

Vanessa looked at her with contempt in her face. Her lips curled up on one side of her face as she burst out laughing.

"What are you laughing for?" Amy said, as she put her hand on a table in the room.

"I am laughing at your foolishness." she said. "I hate my sister," she said as she pointed at herself.

"You don't? I was just trying to help you," Amy said.

"I did not hate her. I only complained to her about you because I needed to vent. She is my sister. I love her so much." Vanessa puts her hand on her forehead. "This moron," she thought. She looked at Amy.

"You don't have a sister because she left you for a man. The reason why you fucking want to kill her is because you don't understand siblings arguments."

"You are getting out of hand, Vanessa; you know how much that hurt me." Tears roll down her face.

Amy didn't like to talk about her sister. Her sister dated a man, but because of the no-relationship rule, they kicked her out and served her punishment. No one knows what happens to her. Whether or not she is still alive,

"Oh, please, stop with the crocodile tears. I too want to cry," she said, annoyed.

Someone knocked at the door. Amy quickly wiped the tears from her face.

"Come in," Amy said.

The guard went in and looked at the two of them. There was some tension in the room, and the guard knew there must be something up, so she was trying to avoid it.

"What is it? What are you looking at?" Amy quickly shunned the guard.

"Oh, Sonia told us we should bring the guy to her."

"Okay," she said, looking at Vanessa. "Let's go," she told the guard.

Before she went, she told Vanessa to follow her to the prison.

Vanessa entered the prison and sat down on the far side of the prison room.

"Hey, get up. I can't believe you are sleeping." Amy yelled at him. "You must be comfortable,"

"Can you keep quiet? I need to get some sleep." Kai stated.

One thing Kai hates is waking up from sleep.

Amy went and held his hair by her right hand and used her left hand to hold a knife close to his neck.

"I can kill you here now."

"If you want to kill me, you can do it without telling me." He said this as he looked at her.

Amy stares at him. She was fuming with anger.

The guard could tell the tension was not good. She came close to Amy.

"Sonia said we should not touch him," the guard whispered in her ear.

Amy stared at him while he also stared at her.

She removed her hand from his hair aggressively.

"I'll see how long you can keep this smirk on your face," she said as she removed the knife from his neck.

Kai stood up.

As he was going with them, he stopped and looked at Vanessa.

"Tell your sister I'll see her soon. I always remember those who help me."

"Humph," she said. "We don't know if you will be alive by then."

He smiled.

"Why are you smiling at her?" Amy said it in anger.

"Is there a rule here preventing me from smiling?" He opened his mouth wide, showing his teeth.

"Do you want me to break your teeth?" She said this while holding her big, long sword.

"Are we leaving now?" He went ahead of them.

A few minutes later, they got to Sonia's place, which was surrounded by several guards. There was a gate that had guards guarding it. Amy brought her identification card and showed it to the guard that was stationed there. The guard opened the gate for them. Sonia's office was ahead of them. Amy knocked on the door.

"Come in," Sonia said.

Amy opened the door gently.

"Sonia, he is here," Amy said while bowing down to her.

Sonia stood in the opposite direction, staring out the window.

"Amy, get him a shirt," she said, still facing the other way.

Amy looked at Sonia, then at Kai. This was the first time Sonia has ever treated someone who entered the vampire clan with hospitality. She then realized he must be an important person for Sonia to show him hospitality.

"Okay," Amy said, and she and the guard both left.

Kai pulled out a chair that was under the office table and sat down with his legs crossed.

"Won't you turn around to look at me?" His finger was on the side of his head.

"What brings you here? Prince," she didn't look at him.

"I came here unexpectedly." Kai looks at what is on her office table. He saw a book over there and was going to take it.

"Don't touch." Sonia walked up to the table and sat down.

"The king, your father, is looking for you. So I suggest you go home. I will send some special guards to escort you." Sonia said.

"I will go if you can let me have the girl that saved me."

"Vanessa?" she asked.

"No, not her. Josephine," he says, sitting up straight.

"Why does he want her?" she thought.

"No, I can't let you have her or even any of the vampires here." Sonia said it with determination.

Kai cleared his ear and came closer to Sonia.

"How dare you decide who I will have or not? I am telling you this out of courtesy.

Sonia then puts her arm on the table and pulls her face closer to him.

"Don't forget, you are in my territory, and we have every right to do with you as we see fit."

Kai put his fist in his mouth and looked at the side and then at Sonia.

"Are you threatening me?" he said.

"If you want to get your way, you can become the king and challenge me," she said. "But until then, you can't do anything."

Sonia leaned back in her chair.

"There is something you don't know about me. Whenever I want something, I always get it."

He throws the things that are on the table away.

Kai opened the door and saw Amy. He looked at her, took the shirt, and left. As he was leaving, he kicked the plant that was next to the entrance of the door.

"Amy, come over here?" Sonia called her inside.

Amy couldn't believe what she heard.

"Should I clean it up?" Amy pointed at the things he threw away.

"No need," she said as she stood up.

"There is an important thing I want you to do." Sonia said.

"I need you to drop whatever you are doing and send some guards to surround Josephine's place."

"Why?" Amy asked.

"You don't need to know. Don't let Josephine leave the house until he is gone. Do you understand?"

"Yes," Amy said as she bowed down.

Amy leaves the place.
