A New World

CULTIVATION MULTIVERSE OF QI - EARTH

As cultivation is dominant instead of technology on this earth, the power is not the power of technology and weapons a country might have.

On this Earth, the most important source is the individual power and the cultivation each person possesses.

Countries and nations existed on this earth too and their power and place were determined by how much powerful the cultivators of that country were and how much power the most powerful person in that country had.

A difference this earth had with the earth of technology was that it looked like it was still at the times of ancient earth almost like how ancient China was in the past.

Normal people used horses to travel and they used gold, silver, bronze as currency to buy food, house, and everything else.

Another difference this earth of cultivation had with the earth of technology was the laws each country and nation had implemented.

Each person's place and social status was determined by the cultivation he or she had and other than crimes such as slaughtering the masses or some other frowned upon taboos, powerful people could do whatever they wanted to the people weaker than them, so it was a world where strong suppressed the weak. In other words, this earth was ruled by the laws of the jungle.

Also because people here cultivated from countless years before, there were animals, beasts, and other creatures that have been affected by the qi and gained a natural hereditary unconscious ability of absorption of this energy while going through change throughout the countless years and now there were animals who have reached high levels of power, or there were those more powerful animals, etc. who had gained higher levels of intelligence, and there were even some which had reached the intelligence of the human beings or surpassed it, these animals were called the 'Monstrous Beasts'.

EARTH, THE HOLY ISLAND

Other than those powerful countries there was also another place which was not a country, only an island in the Pacific ocean. With all this, it was still seen as powerful as other countries and almost no one dared to go against them as the number of powerful people there were a lot.

Right now on this island inside the biggest pagoda, a group of people was sitting on chairs around a big table in the shape of a circle.

Right now they seemed to be talking about something, the room was a little dark so their faces were not clear and obvious.

One of them (A) said "how is the comprehension of that portal like rift that opened is going?" this person was at closed-door cultivation meditation at the time trying to breakthrough in his cultivation, so he hadn't felt the rift open, thus unable to try comprehending it, and he would not be, at least not until the rift opens again and he sees it.

"The fastest one among us has comprehended about 5 percent of it, but the more we comprehend the harder it gets." Another person (B) who seemed to be a young woman said.

"That's right, and according to our spies in other countries, we seem to be the fastest one among all the nations that have started comprehending that portal like rift," another (C) said.

"So I'm hoping we would continue to be ahead of others till we completely comprehend it." the same person (C) continued.

Others still remained silent only listening.

The first person (A) who had talked broke the silence again and talked again "what do you guys think is beyond that rift?"

"Maybe a far away place in our world, or maybe a pocket dimension? or maybe something else completely, because I haven't even comprehended 2 percent I'm not sure..." That woman (B) who had talked previously talked.

"Whatever it is... we have to be the first group to reach there before other nations, to reap most of the benefits." Another (D) said with a serious tone.

"now we know we're faster than other nations... but aren't you guys forgetting another competitor? I mean we have no spies at that place too..." that same person (D) continued, when he said his last word he turned silent looking at the face of others sitting in there, seeing no reaction whatsoever from them and seeing them stay silent he continued saying, "I'm talking about the monstrous beasts! I mean they must be trying to comprehend too!"

There was two seconds of silence but then, "Hahaha..." Hearing this almost all of them except some of them started laughing out loud, after a while of laughing one of them who was laughing the loudest (E) said "that was good! that seriously changed the mood of the gathering, bravo, hahaha" that person said as he continued laughing afterward.

"But I'm serious! why do you people underestimate them so much!" the person who had talked about the monstrous beasts (D) said with a serious face, he had learned it the hard way to never underestimate anyone so he never underestimated anyone since he had learned that lesson.

Hearing him being completely serious they stopped laughing too and one of them (A) said in a tone like he was saying the most obvious thing in the world "You know how the monstrous beasts are like, even though they might be powerful with hard bodies, their comprehension ability is the slowest among us all... so why would you overestimate them? I agree with the thought to never underestimate anyone, but you shouldn't overestimate them too... isn't that right?"

"But still... sigh... okay... but if it was up to me I wouldn't have ignored them completely and at least make sure they were slower than us, but whatever." That person (D) said as he turned silent afterward.

After that, another long awkward silence came upon the room as everyone didn't know what to say.

Sometime later the person (F) who almost never talked in all of the gatherings talked, she was the person who had comprehended about 5 percent of the rift and probably the fastest on the whole earth to comprehend according to the spies placed in other nations.

She said, "You guys asked where the rift would lead to, let me answer that..."

Hearing this everyone in the room was stunned that she knew and then they were impatient to hear the answer as they were looking at her face with an expression that was yelling 'Where? Where?'

After what seemed like forever to others she responded with the slowest of speeds with a soft and low tone while savoring the moment. She said, "It would lead us..."

'JUST FUCKING SPIT IT OUT.' they all thought, but obviously, none dared to say it out loud.

"To another world... a whole new world." She finally said.
