It's not as planned, it really isn't as planned. (MC POV) (Imperial Laboratory)
This particular part of the laboratory was completely clean of any devices, gadget or anything that could hint at the purpose of this part.
The floor was completely white without any marks or denotement on it.
The only thing that prevented this area from being completely empty was exactly 1000 people chained with heavy chains who were thrown to their knees by the weight of the chains.
Each was chosen because of the gravity of their crimes. It would seem difficult to find so many monsters disguised as humans, but my empire has hundreds of billions of inhabitants and it was a very easy task.
The fact that they are the dregs of human society lessened my potential guilt for what I was planning to do to them.
In my right hand I held The Blade of Sacrifice.
The fact that the blade was of Chaos origin and that I was an Anathema did not hinder my use of it at all as I had control over my powers to an inhuman degree.
I had some moral objections to its use because of the soul consumation of the victims, but I decided to use it only on the worst.
The real purpose of this part of the laboratory was to be a sacrificial chamber for human victims.
The amount of human sacrifice I would have to make for just a 00001% percent increase in my power was astronomical and unprofitable, but for improving buildings, weapons, and other items it was very acceptable.
A terrifying bloody glow spread through the Warp.
The blade burned with an ominous-looking flame. The number of victims and their suffering made the blade semi-sentient. The prisoners themselves looked at me with anxious movements and eyes, and a feeling of fear and horror spread through the Warp.
A few steps forward and I was next to the first prisoner, the moment I brought the blade over his head the air suddenly became hot as sparks flew from the light that appeared smoldering on the blade. An increasingly powerful demonic roar emanated from the blade, a mixture of suffering, anger and madness, piercing the consciousness of those who heard it.
When the blade pierced his neck, the darkness drew the victim's life force like a magnet, sucking it like a black hole. The horrifying scene was supernaturally mesmerizing. The soul turned from the blue light into a dark flame that hovered above the wound, while the blade glowed and drew the soul that was fiercely resisting into it.
The faces of the other prisoners sank into complete hopelessness as they watched the scene.
I approach the other prisoner and point the blade towards his chest.
"Don't, please, I won't hurt anyone again if you let me go - said another prisoner crying, and I saw that his pants were wet".
'Really disgusting' I thought and took the blade stabbing him straight in the chest and he let out a wail of pure agony as he died fast the blade was eating away at his soul.
"If you wanted to live, you shouldn't have killed all those people" I replied with a mocking smile towards the dried corpse loud enough for everyone to hear me.
I went from prisoner to prisoner very quickly ending each life.
Some prisoners screamed "Help!"
Others screamed "Ahhhh!" into the void.
Thirds screamed "Mercy".
Those who begged for unmerited mercy were foolish and I made their agony indescribable, and their cry filled the air, echoing like a cry to heaven, but without the slightest hope of being saved.
"No one can hear you or save you, you scream and pray for nothing" I replied with a malicious smile.
The smell of fear and death filled the room as I quickly moved from prisoner to prisoner.
The blade soon found itself decorated with the blood of its victims, radiating dark energy. Its sharpness devoured the souls of the prisoners, and the cries and sobs of the remaining prisoners echoed through the entire wing of the laboratory.
Every time the blade went through the flesh, screams and sobs would join in a broken symphony of suffering. The faces of the captives would be overwhelmed with despair, while the souls disappear in a cruel apparition, leaving only eerie shadows behind.
It took me another two minutes to finish sacrificing all the criminals.
I lower the blade that glowed with dark energy from receiving so many souls.
I put the blade back in warehouse and hear a voice in my head.

'Very interesting'.
I hide notifications from my field of view and exit Gamer Statistics.
Sacrificing so many people will be difficult because I don't have so many criminals or enemy and I don't want to sacrifice my own innocent citizens.
Sacrifice will go to the bottom of my priorities.
I have a solution for the enslavement of important individuals.
The Dark Cells are full of dangerous creatures and they can bend to my will.
I open the portal and in a few seconds I'm at the entrance to The Dark Cells.
I've secured the entire place against entry via any teleportation and now I have to suffer.
It took me twenty minutes to go through all the checks and get inside.
Stepping inside, before me lay an immense collection of different cells, each containing unimaginable entities and horrors from different dimensions, worlds and numerous Chaos horrors.
This part of the cells was focused on entities while the part after it was focused on objects and things.
But now I was here for the entity.
I enter the first cell and I am surprised by the force and wild power that emerges from it.
In it was an entity from another dimension, conqueror of life and destroyer of worlds. Without hesitation, I approached and placed a seal on what was inside as the being itself did not have an actual physical body but createds a body as needed.
I'm not sure if all the horrors in these cells would be enough to face everything that awaits me from Chaos, Rangdan, Orks and even Tyranids who are surely attracted by the much stronger Astronomicon.
In another cell, there were several living human bodies fused together, a sign that they were the host of a powerful Khornate daemon, rage itself and a literal force of destruction. Undaunted, i enter the cell and hear a loud scream from the thing.
I just walk up to the chained beast and ignore its bloodthirsty look and twisted features and place a slave seal on its stomach.
I feel the beast disconnect from its master, a roar of pure rage and hatred rips through the Warp driving psykers across the galaxy into madness and death.
I continue my journey from cell to cell and with each daemon bound in my service I feel the hatred of the Four spreading around my Warp domain.
Finishing the tour of all cells with entities, I look at the status of the task.
[Enslaved:9800]
"This is going to be a long way," I think.
I exit Gamer Statistics and decide to go back to Bucephalus.
I leave the cell and open the portal to Bucephalus and quickly cross over.
As I mentioned, the MC isn't really a complete hero, he's more amoral and power hungry. I decided to put more pictures in the chapters based on the survey results and I decided not to put quote at the beginning of the chapters. All the listed prisoners of cells were completely created by me.
