The Revisit of The Guests

Two entire weeks had passed after that incident. I forgot all about it, Until one day all of them returned but this time with the mayor's family. I was dazzled to see them turn up. It was uncomfortable at first due to the presence of women their , do not get me wrong but any person would feel that way only if he on the name of talking to a lady has only spoken with his mother in the entire life. The mayor introduced one beautiful lady as his wife and a girl of my age as his daughter. They were accompanied by two maids and a butler. By the way all four of the men I had helped appeared that day.

I nervously welcomed them inside my house. As I completed all the necessary arrangements the mayor told me to sit. I did as I was told, I sat with all the other people present. I could feel that the tension was rising. He after some time said," See Ryoma I am going to ask you this one question, I know its sudden but let me finish first. Would you like to come and live in our city?" I was taken aback but I remained silent, he continued," Look You are very small but responsible enough to take care of yourself, besides this I want you to come to our town and live there with us as a part of the family." All I could say was,"Ummm... I do not kn-" Before I could finish he said," You can do magic which is way above your level. We really want to help you out but we cannot force you, the final decision is still yours." At this the mayor's wife named 'Kiyoko Yachi' spoke up," I have heard a lot about you and first of all I would like to thank you to help my husband and his friends at their time of need. I would definitely want such a responsible and cute little boy to live with us." I said, " I don't know .." I took a pause and could feel all the people staring in my thoughts I really had started missing human life , so I did not want to let this offer go but I could not sound eager either , I know that no 8 year old kid thinks this way but I had a mind of a 57 year old man so I was an exception. I continued," I feel like I would be a burden to all of you and besides even if I agree to this proposal am I allowed to bring all the creatures I bonded with in your town?

The others spoke one by one, "We know you have large numbers of slimes and we also know that they split and create more like them every now and then , we do not have any problem with them." Another man spoke up," As for the little friend of yours(fluffy), he can come too." They assured me that I would have a good life there and I always had the option to come back here if I wanted and also said that I could never be a burden , they listed the benefits of me living in their town and after that I had no reason to decline the offer . The people were also very polite and were urging me to come so I agreed.

I arranged for their food and started packing , their butler helped me out a lot and the next morning we were all ready to go. This was marked as the beginning of my new life.
