Second Floor

They went up for about thirty minutes, taking pauses at random moments whenever someone felt tired which usually happened to be Levi.

Lydia had offered him a piggyback ride but his pride kept him from accepting, even Helian who was the youngest had quite an easy time going up.

"So the doors are always hidden through the floors?" asked Levi.

"Not always, everything we know won't matter much once we reach higher floors. The records we have show that logic doesn't matter much up there," explained Lydia.

"Huh."

They had arrived in front of the door to the second floor. Once Levi was breathing normally again, they opened it.

He was expecting anything on the other side, but it was another forest. 

This one, however, was covered in snow.

"Well, wish someone had told us," said Levi.

"I don't have clothes adapted for this," said Syllia.

The snow only reached about a centimeter high, barely hindering their progress.
