Just one will do!

After school, they immediately went to Devon's place. Since it was lunch time, Devon cooked lunch for the two of them again while Lyn cuddled Ken in her arms while waiting.

After eating a scrumptious meal, they took turns between writing out the script and keeping track of what happens next in their storyline.

After what seemed like eternity, they finally finished their first task! Lyn is not one that works hard, but smart so she rewarded herself with playing with Ken for quite some time before continuing her work. Seeing that Lyn only had eyes for Ken, Devon couldn't help feeling jealous. Ken did not even have to do anything, just behave like himself as usual yet he get Lyn's full attention. Devon on the other hand always cooked lunch for her yet all she did was just say 'thanks' while looking at Ken.

Does Lyn thinks that a dog is worth looking at than me that she'd rather smile at Ken than at me? Am I just her cooking slave?

Poor Devon! He couldn't help but compare himself to his dog. Just in what way is he lacking that he lacks of Lyn's attention?

...

So after their break, Lyn was tasked to find a suitable place to add in 'Im a crazy lunatic that is in love with Devon!'

But since that sentence shows that 'Devon' is one of the characters, Lyn had to name one character 'Devon' and changed the protagonist's lines to sound more weird and fit the characteristics as shown by the line 'Im a crazy lunatic that is in love with Devon!'

Devon on the other hand had to create characters that amounts to approximately the number of people in their class since the play they are gonna do is a class project and each class competes with one another with requirements like team work, story plot etc. Don't take the competition lightly, for the prizes are sure attractive. Too bad that's not the focus for today.

Both Lyn and Devon's tasks were not easy and they took exactly 3 days (excluding school time) to work on it. Since they don't like to do things sloppily (that only applies to the things they like/ are interested in), they only considered the task completed when they felt satisfied and not when the script was completed.

"Thanks for your help! If not for you, I might really die of exhaustion!"

I am finally visible to you, huh, Devon thought. This whole time, Lyn either talk to him without looking at him or not talk to him at all, making Devon question if he was a human or ghost.

"mm.."From his neutral tone, Lyn couldn't tell if he was happy or upset.

Devon did not say 'welcome' or 'no problem' as he did not feel that Lyn was welcomed to do such things and he find it problematic having to compete with his dog for Lyn to just look at him in the eye just once. Yes, Lyn could look at Ken for a million, billion or even trillion times without getting sick of him yet when it comes to Devon..Lyn did not even look at him once. How humiliating is that!

Lyn's POV (just a short one)

It's not that Lyn did not want to look at Devon in the eye, but rather her desire for him was so much that she was scared if she looked at him in the eye for just one moment, she would lose all control and god knows what she would do! Moreover, his gaze was piercingly cold and intimidating, whoever that dared to look at him in the eye was surely brazen! Just his presence alone made Lyn felt wary of her posture, her actions, basically her everything. It pressured her so much that she thinks his home would feel like a prison if not for the cute Ken to relieve the coldness in the house by just the vibes he emitted - Ken's friendly and approachable vibe immediately appealed to Lyn, making her feel at ease. As such, during the whole time they spent working on the project, Lyn fixated her eyes on Ken although she badly wanted to just glance at Devon. Just one glance is enough! Yet, it's so close, yet so far..

"Now that you got what you want, shouldn't I get what I want too?" Devon's words froze Lyn's thoughts of how he'd look if she glanced at him just now.

"Wh-what do you want?" the unknown is always scary for Lyn as you don't know what you're dealing with.

'I want you.'

that's what Devon wanted to say, but those words won't come out of his mouth.

Actually, more like he wouldn't let him blurt that out.

Instead, he said "I want..you to come to my house at least once a week."

Huh? why..? Lyn seriously couldn't figure out what his intentions were, and if they were good or bad.

"I need someone to help me take care of ken. Since I am busy sometimes yet you adore Ken so much, I thought you could help me.." Devon explained neutrally, though his explanation was just an excuse to spend time with her. Yet, our dense Lyn really believed that Devon wanted her to visit his house to take care of Ken

"Sure!" She was obviously happy since to her, it was not a loss but rather, she benefitted a lot from their deal. Since young, Lyn wanted a pet badly, especially a dog. However, her family were not fond of animals and thus they prohibited Lyn from keeping pets too. How cruel! But the gods are fair after all. After waiting for ten over years, she finally had a chance to sorta own a pet. Even though she was slightly disappointed that Devon only sees her as a dog-caretaker, or so she thought, she was still contented at having the chance to spend more time with Ken and see more of Devon.
