Chapter 7 - The evening

I was so exhilarated, enthusiastic and enlivened. It was Friday and I finally managed to stay alive the whole 3 days! I was literally texting Elodie and Alora the whole day, sharing the same delightment.

I planned to wear a silver overflowing gown, which had been been embroidered with flowers and geometric designs and sparkles of glitter everywhere. I had only worn it once which was at last year's Christmas party in which a handful of guests only arrived.

It was too heavy, but I really badly wanted to wear it. I left my hair, allowing the curls of hair to be free and wore my special matchy heels.

I kinda felt exposed at the top, but I loved to show my prominent collar bone. I had scars here and there since I suffered from acne, but I managed to cover it with the concealer. As it was time to leave my room, I took my purse which contained my phone and other personal things and headed out. My mother was startled as she saw me.

"My princess. You look absolutely astounding!" she started saying letting out a few tears.

"Ma stop it, its not like I'm leaving." I went close to here, wiping off her tears with my thumb. She then hugged me and to my surprise my dad hugged me too. It was kind off weird to be honest.

"You look amazing dear." He let out.

I beamed and waved my mom who was smiling and my brother who was weary a goodbye and followed my dad outside the apartment as he was going to drop me.

After a while which felt like hours we reached the palace. It was gigantic! There were many cars forming a long never ending line before the gate. As our car approached, I lowered the window of the car and game them my id card which I wore to school everyday. It contained my name, class, student no etc. After the guards researched on a device they let us in.

"Ah Ms.Griffins you may proceed." he commanded.

My dad gently pressed the accelerator and we entered. There was a large parking lot. My dad stopped there and left the car, giving my dad a last hug and headed into the palace.

There was a reception so I digged in my purse to take out my id card and let it out to her. The receptionist was pretty. She wore a uniform which consisted of a shirt and a formal skirt. Her hair was tied to a bun and she had put on light makeup on her fair skin. Finally looking away from the pc, she looked at me, gave my id card back and gestured which specified that I could enter.

Feeling a weight leaving off my shoulder I proceeded to walk with my heels making a click clack noise every time a set foot on the polished tiles.

I grinned from ear to ear when I saw Elodie and Alora talking to each other. They seemed to carefree. So I rushed towards them, being careful not to trip of.

They looked mind blowing. Elodie was wearing a forest green silk gown which looked stunning on her and Alora was wearing a lilac gown which looked confounding as well.

"OMG you girls, you took my breath away!" I exaggerated.

"Dayum Addilyn is that you?" Elodie questioned

"Shoot seriously, you look completely different Addy." Alora stated.

"Hehe, did I miss anything?" I questioned.

"Speaking of which did you meet anyone before us?" Alora briefed

"No..."

"Addilyn don't turn, don't turn!" Elodie hushed.

"Girl what happened? Who's behind? Your making me scared." I responded.
