Chapter 3 - The project

"Hey Addilyn, remember me? Oh it will not be long till we meet again sweetheart."

"Addilyn WAKE UP! YOU HAVE SCHOOL TODAY!"

I shrieked and got up. My mom was right beside standing with her hands on her hips.

"Oh good morning ma" I wished with a smile on my face.

"You better get ready and remove that smile on my face, your five minutes late. Hurry up or you will be late" My mother instructed.

Little did she know I smiled purposely. I seriously say Flynn in my dreams! Not long till we meet again? I was so blank, I didn't know what to think. I knew he wouldn't leave me without having his revenge.

"Oh hello Missy back to earth, go change and come fast for breakfast!" my mother yelled, while half of the sentence faded as she headed out of my room towards the kitchen.

I left all my thoughts aside and got out of my bed. I went to my bathroom, took of my clothes and let the warm water rinse me. After finishing with the quick shower, I wrapped a towel around my body and went out of the bathroom to wear my uniform. I dried out Chocolate brown hair and braided it. Packing all my books, I took my bag and went to the kitchen where I saw my mom placing plates filled with toast and omelettes on the table. My brother was busy munching and my dad was watching the daily news on the TV. I took a seat beside my brother and started eating as well.

"Sup sis!" my brother said.

"Mehh, and you Aiden? You seem very excited." I stated with a smile.

"Oh yes I'm very excited, you see, I'm gonna be participating in the football tryouts, for which I know I will be selected." Aiden said being very proud and confident.

"We'll see" that was all I could say. I knew my brother was that sporty boy, but don't get me wrong, he was also good at his studies. Though he was 2 years younger than me, we was the same height as me, which many people doubt whether I'm elder.

Finishing with the mouth watering breakfast, I put on my socks and shoes, gave my mom and dad a kiss on their cheek and bid farewell.

Me and my brother waited in the bus station, while the school bus arrived. As it arrived saw my mom coming out waving hands like crazy and screaming "Bye!" to us. As I entered the bus, i sighed and took a seat beside my two best friends.

"Hey Addy!" both Elodie and Alora squealed in unison.

"I seriously have to tell y'all something" I replied.

"Oh yay drama time!" Elodie remarked.

"No, no, did you remember Flynn, that guy who wanted to attack me last year on my birthday?"

"Oh my don't tell me you guys are together already." Elodie said with a chuckle.

"GOODNESS ARE YOU OK ELODIE, NO WAY! I wanted to say that he escaped from jail, and last night I saw a dream of him saying that he will come back." I said feeling disgusted but most importantly tensed as well.

Both of them were blank with their eyes wide open. We were quite for a while but later discussed about the biology project teacher was planing to give us.

As the bus reached school I went towards my locker and took a glance on my time table. I had Maths in the first period, then Physics, then English and so on and Biology in the last period.

"RING RING RING!" the bell rang and all the students rushed towards the hall for the daily morning prayers in which a prayer would be said and the principle would share some announcements. Later we headed towards our Maths class.

After several hours which felt like YEARS, I had my biology class next. I took my books and all the required stuffs and hurried towards the class. As I entered, I realized I wasn't late and took a seat beside Elodie. Alora was in the other class.

"Good afternoon Ms Gianna" everyone wished our biology teacher sleepily.

"Today I will assign you students in groups regarding the bio project." Ms Gianna instructed as she started to call names and assign the students in groups, I was impatiently waiting for my name to come up.

"Elodie, Josiah, Addilyn, Kaiden and Rayna, you all are in group 5."

Elodie then gave me an evil look with a smirk, and I knew everything what she wanted to say.

"Look who's in our group, Addy." Elodie muttered with the same look on her face.

No no no. This had to happen. My crush. Josiah. GOSH. Though him being that crazy dude, I seriously don't know why I had a crush on him.

Elodie and me stood and went towards the boys table. They class had 7 large tables like of those in the lab. I was going to sit beside Rayna, when Elodie came rushing and sat beside her.

UGHHHHHHH, this girl,she seriously forced me to sit beside Josiah. The teacher started telling us what the project was going to be about so I quickly sat beside him with Elodie on the opposite side of me. She kept grinning at me and I tried my best to ignore her.

"You may start the discussion" Ms Gianna affirmed.

First Kaiden, the smart dude started telling the points and all other stuffs and everyone started talking. While me as always, started having goosebumps. I prayed for the class to get over. I couldn't stand the fact that he was sitting beside me.

"Addilyn, you have doubts?"

I turned towards Josiah who had a anxious look.

"Ah nothing." i quickly replied as I felt the heat in my cheeks.

"RINGGG!" the bell rang and i was relived.

"Since tomorrow we have a holiday we can discuss the plan in a video call." I instructed.

All my groups members nodded and I left with Elodie. She was still smiling, I could without even take a glance of her. I took all my needed books, shoved them in my bag and went out of the school towards the bus.
