There's More Than Two Colors To a Rainbow

That day I was simply taking my friend's shift at the gift shop she works at, but I never would've imagined that I'd see something like this...

It was a typical day on a slack season, I zone out for a while until the bell chimed indicating the entrance of a customer, "Welcome!" I greeted with a smile. The person who just came in was a kid, a boy to be precise, one with raven hair and eyes so black that it seemed empty. Moments after the boy started to walk around the shop, the bell chimed again, this time a girl with blond hair and blue sparkly eyes entered. She had a smile that can make one's heart melt, her aura itself is so different from the other kid, one puts you at ease while the other makes you worried.

To my surprise this girl was actually tailing the guy, she was very focused on observing him. They went to different sections of the shop, the teddy bear, the nutcracker, and the toy car section. The boy eyeing his surroundings, making sure no one was around going to the doll section. He spent a good amount of time checking out the dolls but before he could reach out to one, he stopped as the girl accidentally stumbled and made the guy notice him. The little boy looked so shocked and immediately ran away. The girl then shocked me more by not only running after him but also bringing along the doll that the boy had tried to pick up. Of course, as the employee, I had to chase after them. The girl suddenly shouted "Hey!! stop, here the doll", the boy looked confused and asked "why?", to which the girl immediately replied with "I think both you and the doll will be happy if you're together" at first the boy didn't take the doll extended at him but the girl pushed it to him and nodded "take it". "Thank you", the boy said and as he smiled somehow the sadness in his eyes somehow seemed to decrease. Oh well, I guess I'm paying for seeing that wonderful smile, I said to myself as I waltz back to my post.
