Chapter 11 - Corvus's Secret

Max and Edgar watched as Corvus perched on a nearby rock, his black feathers ruffling in the wind. They knew that he had a secret, and they were determined to find out what it was.

"Corvus, what are you trying to tell us?" asked Max, his eyes fixed on the crow.

Corvus cawed softly, then took off into the sky. Max and Edgar followed him, their eyes on the bird as he soared higher and higher.

They flew for what seemed like hours, until they finally reached a large castle perched on a hilltop. Corvus landed on a nearby tree, and Max and Edgar followed suit.

As they approached the castle, they noticed that the gates were open. They cautiously made their way inside, their hands on their weapons.

The castle was dark and silent, and Max and Edgar could sense that something was off. They made their way down a long corridor, their footsteps echoing on the stone floor.

As they turned a corner, they found themselves face to face with a group of hooded figures. The figures were holding torches, and their faces were hidden in the shadows.

"Who are you?" asked Max, his hand on his sword.

The figures didn't answer. Instead, they raised their torches, and the castle was suddenly bathed in light.

Max and Edgar gasped as they saw what was in front of them. The figures were not humans at all, but rather, they were creatures of darkness. Their skin was as black as coal, and their eyes glowed with an otherworldly light.

Max and Edgar knew that they were facing a formidable foe, but they didn't back down. They drew their swords and prepared to fight.

The battle was fierce, but Max and Edgar fought with all their might. They were outnumbered, but they refused to give up. They could sense that Corvus was with them, guiding them and giving them strength.

Finally, the last creature fell to the ground, defeated. Max and Edgar breathed a sigh of relief, but their relief was short-lived.

As they were making their way out of the castle, they heard a strange noise coming from the nearby forest. They cautiously made their way towards the sound, their swords at the ready.

As they emerged from the trees, they saw a large portal opening in front of them. From the portal, emerged a figure unlike any they had ever seen before.

The figure was tall and imposing, and its eyes burned with a fierce intensity. It was a demon, and it had come to claim the castle as its own.

Max and Edgar knew that they were no match for the demon, but they refused to back down. They stood their ground, their swords raised.

As the demon advanced, Corvus suddenly took flight. He soared towards the demon, his wings flapping furiously.

Max and Edgar watched in amazement as Corvus flew straight into the demon's eyes. The demon let out a howl of pain, and it disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Max and Edgar looked at each other in shock. They had never seen anything like it before.

"Corvus, how did you do that?" asked Edgar, his voice filled with awe.

Corvus simply cawed, then took off into the sky. Max and Edgar followed him, their hearts full of wonder and amazement.

As they soared through the clouds, they knew that Corvus had a secret, a secret that they would never fully understand. But they also knew that they had been chosen to protect him, to keep him safe from the forces of darkness that would seek to destroy him.

And with that, they flew off into the unknown
