Chapter 178: SILLA

Hmm, I stretched awake with the morning sun feeling, alive. Sore, tired, but alive. Gabriel had chased away my fears the night before by loving me until I was too tired to take or think anymore. I rolled over with a smile that soon fled as I rushed from the bed to the bathroom to empty my stomach of its contents.

I guess I was still nervous about meeting his family and friends, after all, to the point that I had made myself sick. That’s how Gabriel found me when he came back into the room from wherever he’d gone so early in the morning while I was still asleep.

I was embarrassed for him to see me like this, but he didn’t say a word; he just lifted me in his arms, flushed the toilet, and then held me over the sink so he could wash my mouth out. I felt weak as a kitten as he carried me back to the bed and laid me down.
