Chapter 3: New World

Ok thank Shiva, I stopped myself from cursing but yeah where the hell am I? Why are many people manipulating the elements and showcasing it like they are performing a circus.

Did I get transported to another world? I quickly entered the busy streets wandering around, looking to find a library to get knowledge of my situation.

I looked here and there when finally, I found a library. It was with a billboard and on it is a title written.

[Heaven of Books]

Probably the name is this because bookworms like me come here. I walked towards the library and entered it. The librarian lifted his head from his arms with a bored expression but when his gaze fell on me.

He looked at me with pity and also with a hint of disgust probably because of the smell coming out my body along with my pitiful state. He slowly went towards me and kneeled though he kept his distance.

I knew why he did that. It was because he didn't want to get any germs from me which he suspected were there because of my dirty appearance. Any normal person would be like this, so I didn't mind.

Also, I was adult inside a malnourished kid's body, which meant I am very mature unlike the other kids.

"Hello"

He uttered this word, and I replied back with a hi. He looked at me with a little shock since he probably though I am illiterate like the homeless kid and didn't know how to talk.

"Can you understand me?"

He asked and I replied again with a calm tone since there is no need of aggravating someone who could possibly give me a good home.

"Yes I can"

"Why are you here little kid?"

"I need a bath and books also some good food."

Ok that was pretty dumb of me to list the demands, but it happened automatically due to the straightforward attitude I brought in this kid's body from my past vessel.

First, he looked at me from down to up before saying.

"I can provide you with all those, but you have to help me with library."

Well, that is a simple demand and so I agreed. He smiled probably because he was happy that he got someone to manage this library with him. I had already viewed the library from the outside.

So, I knew other than him no one managed this big library, and it was very much stressful for him.

"Follow me and do you have a name?"

He commanded me as well as asked me. I nodded at his question.

"My name is Agastya no last name"

I stated and since I didn't know the vessel's name, I just improvised by giving my own name. He nodded before turning his back towards and then he pressed something on his table.

This action opened a hidden door behind the table which only I and him could see. He entered it and I followed after him.

I was now in a bedroom which was decorated with a comfortable mattress, and it also had a table with a notebook on it along with that it had a fridge. Joined with the bedroom was a bathroom which was big enough for me.

Since it had a bathtub, toilet and a separate chamber for bathing. Inside the chamber was shampoo, conditioner and soap. Ok, is this man really an ordinary librarian or is he linked with some cartel.

Maybe that's why he immediately accepted me.

"From now this is your room and yes I earn enough money from the library to afford this secret room."

I nodded slowly and then he exited the room making the door to the library close and disappear. Thankfully there was a button which was a labelled as [Open/Close door].

Well currently I needed a bath, so I opened the chamber and entered inside while closing its door. There was a shower head above and two knobs which I could rotate for hot and cold water.

And if I rotated them at the same time, I could get a mixture. Since this is summer season there was no need of hot water, so I rotated the cold-water knob.

As soon as the cold water touched my skin, momentarily I felt as if I was in heaven. I smiled in bliss as I rubbed the soap and applied some shampoo on myself.

After my bathing was done, I wiped all the excess water with a towel before looking at myself with a mirror. I am literally shining, and I am more attractive than before, that I can safely conclude.

Then I brushed my teeth and exited the bathroom with a towel wrapped on my vest. I saw that on my bed there were some clothes laid.

It was a white undershirt with baggy full pants. I undid my towel and quickly wore my clothes. Safe to say I looked really handsome since my malnourished was also hidden by these clothes.

Then I opened the fridge inside the room and saw there is many foods including junk foods and beverages. I am literally salivating at the sight but before I feast on these foods, my eyes laid upon a pill.

It had note over it which read,

"Pill for you malnourished body, swallow it with water"

OK?

First, I put the pill on my tongue before swallowing it with a glass of water. Hm nothing was happening, I was confused what was it supposed to do?

Then I felt a burning sensation spreading through my body, I screamed. I had a very low pain tolerance that I realized. I didn't go unconscious, but I am panting now because due to the scream my vocal cords were now sore.

Finally, the pain stopped but I am currently twitching on the floor since the phantom pains didn't stop. After a while, I slowly got up with wobbly legs and then stood upright.

I am trembling but then my eyes caught size of my arms. The arms were now the size of a normal children. I had a theory in my mind, so I quickly rushed inside the bathroom and looked at my reflection.

I took of my shirt and saw that my body was now slightly toned well at least if you compare it to a 6-year-old which was my current age. Wow, the pills in this world are truly the best.

Wait a minute didn't I have such an idea since I wanted the malnourished people to feel well. Hm, must be a coincidence since this is an alternate world well at least according to my theory since I saw how they used the element.

Maybe I am currently in a magical world like Isekai protagonist.
