Falling in Love would feel like this

Seo Jin extended his hand out to hold the hand of Ae-Ra but could not hold it. He sighed and pulled his hand back when Ae-Ra tilted her head. "General Lee, why is this road isolated? It feels that this route is used by someone great," asserted Ae-Ra. "Am I right?" She asked. 

"It is used by someone special. I cannot tell you who that special person is," Seo Jin answered. 

"It means the person is someone big in status," Ae-Ra concluded. Seo Jin again extended his hand out to grasp Ae-Ra's hand. Suddenly she moved her hand to the front and he missed it. Seo Jin heaved a sigh as he again failed to hold her hand. 

"General Lee, there are a few things that I want to bring from the Kisaeng's House. If General Lee permits, then can I go there tomorrow? It slipped my mind today," Ae-Ra stated.

"I will send someone to bring your belongings. You do not need to go there," Seo Jin replied. 

"I want to meet my friend for the last time," Ae-Ra immediately said. 

"A friend? That day no one came forward to save you. Where was your friend that day?" Seo Jin questioned.

Ae-Ra confusedly peered at him when her foot hit a pebble and she stumbled. Seo Jin's reflex acted and he prevented Ae-Ra from falling. His hands were on her back and waist. "You did not hold my hand," Seo Jin stated. 

"Huh?" 

"I still have to hold your hand," Seo Jin asserted and made her stand straight. 

"General Lee carried me on his back." 

"So? I carried you on my back because your legs are injured," Seo Jin stated. He forwarded his hand and waited for Ae-Ra to forward her hand.

Ae-Ra furrowed her brows and looked at his hand. She then gazed into his eyes and gradually moved her hand up. She brought it close to Seo Jin's hand and then gazed at him. "General Lee, your father, and mother will get angry if I dare to do this." She for the last time tried to make Seo Jin understand. 

"What about you? Do you want to hold this hand or not? I want to know your wish on this," Seo Jin replied. 

Ae-Ra blinked a few times and at the same time contemplated over this. "General Lee will leave my hand as soon as we reach near his residence," Ae-Ra put forward her condition. 

Without giving a second thought, Seo Jin agreed with her. He quickly grasped her hand gently, befuddling Ae-Ra. Seo Jin was smiling as always while Ae-Ra with her confused gaze looked at him. 

He brought their hands up in the air and said, "Ae-Ra, I will never leave this hand. Thank you for trusting me. Your hand is a little rough rather than a soft one." Seo Jin looked at her hand. "Did you ever slap any man who tried to touch you without your permission?" He asked. 

"I did once," Ae-Ra answered. 

"No wonder I was right. You are indeed brave," Seo Jin praised her again. "You never cared for your life but stood against the wrong. I really appreciate it, Ae-Ra." 

"General Lee is the only person who appreciated it, everyone else said that I did wrong," Ae-Ra said and chuckled. 

"Ae-Ra, in my eyes everything you do or will do is right," Seo Jin affirmed and took a step closer to her. "This day I will remember till my last breath. So many good things happened today. The woman I adore went out with me; ate lunch with me; got on my back and now she held my hand. This was the first day and you built your trust in me. I never knew falling in love would feel like this," Seo Jin told her about his feelings. Ae-Ra lowered her eyes and curled her fingers. 

"General Lee shall not love this woman," Ae-Ra declined the feelings of Seo Jin, who put their hands down and started to walk. Ae-Ra silently followed his footsteps. The cool breeze hit their faces. 

"Ae-Ra, one cannot stop his heart from falling in love. It is natural and sudden. I had never thought that I would meet the woman of my dreams this way. That time when our eyes met, my heart skipped a beat. That's when my inner voice told me to not let go of this woman. Your status does not matter to me. Keep this in mind," Seo Jin this time elaborated his feelings a little. His tone was serious and the face had a menacing expression over it. 

Ae-Ra kept looking at him and did not realize when they came out of that way and reached near the Lee Residence until Seo Jin let go of her hand. He turned to her and said, "We are here." He then looked towards the Residence. 

Ae-Ra lowered her eyes and thanked Seo Jin for taking her out. He smiled and started to walk, while she walked behind him. They ascended the few stairs and walked inside the entrance when Seo Jin leaned closer to ear, startling her. "Thank you for letting me hold your hand. I will see you at dinner time," he whispered and leaned back. 

"Dinner time?" She asked. 

"Yes. I cannot let you eat alone," Seo Jin said. "Come, I will drop you to your room," He offered. Ae-Ra hummed at him and followed his footsteps. She once again expressed her gratitude before going inside her room.
