Alex smiled after she pressed the send button.

Jackson looked at her with a knowing look on his face.

-What are you looking at you loser?- Alex asked punching Jackson in his arm but still smiling.

-Nothing, nothing.  Just please don't catch feelings too fast ok? You know better than anyone how easily you can get attached to someone and I don't want you to go through heartbreak as I did. - Both of them started laughing while their minds were filled with memories from a not so distant past.

Alex and Jackson were laying down in the blanket that they laid on the beach, their faces turned to the stars above them.

There was silence around them, not an awkward one, just a really comfortable silence that you can only have with someone you trust a lot. The only thing breaking the silence was the sound of the small bugs around them and the crashing of the waves.

-Hey Alex?- Jackson called Alex looking at her. If you looked closely you could notice a small blush forming on the slightly older boy just from being so close to his best friend.

-Yea?- Alex replied. Her eyes not leaving the stars above them.

While looking at Alex, Jackson noticed that her freckles looked like the hundreds of constellations above them.

Jackson loved his best friend so much and definitely loved everything about her. He loved her short hair with an undercut, he loved the way she was always nice and kind to everyone around her and what made her stand even more to him were her freckles. Hey loved them so much that he could trace a line that connected all of them or even count every and each one of the small dots that were a permanent part of his best friend's face.

-There is something that I need to tell you.- he said, you could notice the nerves in his voice even though he was trying to hide it- But you have to promise that you will not get mad at me after I do so. Please.- he almost begged her.

Alex changed her position so now she was sitting while facing Jackson that still had his back on the blanket.

-Actually, I also have something that I need to tell you, I'm don't with keeping this for me- she said.

Both of them just nodded confirming to each other. That they would not get mad, then as if there was a countdown both of them spoke at the same time.

-I love you!

-I'm lesbian

They stayed there just looking at each other, none of them was expecting this to turn out this way.

They stood in silence for a while until Alex spoke up.

-That was weird- She laughed

-Yea- Jackson agreed with his best friend- Just please don't stop talking with me or hanging out with me just because I have a crush on you ok?- he said net looking at her from embarrassment.

-Of course not. Tell me, if I stop talking with you then who would bring joy to my life? And anger? - she giggled- plus, I need someone to talk about girls with me since I believe none of my girlfriends would talk about it, all they can think about is how to get a dick on them. - she laughed once again and laid down again, this time with her head in Jackson's chest- I love you but only as a brother, ok?

After the beach incident, like they like to call it, their friendship grew stronger and after a few months Natalie appeared in Jackson's life and now he's happy with someone that can love him.

- I'll be ok, don't worry about me loser.- Alex gave him a reassuring smile.

Try kept talking until they reached Alex house, once she entered she grabbed her guitar and her keys, today she was the one driving Jackson to the practice, that was at Jackson house.

Once she was out she handed her guitar to Jackson and both hoped in the motorcycle.

As soon as they reached to the practice spot one of the first things Alex did was taking a.photo of the space and posting it on her Instagram.

Meanwhile, Chloe was at home scrolling through her Instagram once again and avoiding to do her homework.

She then saw a photo of what seemed like a garage with a lot of instruments and she recognised the user almost immediately.

She was amazed that this new girl in her life was so cool and also had a bad so she decided to text her since she said she would mind them to be friends.
